Feature requests

Tell us here what features you would like to see in upcoming releases of Enpass.

  1. Right now, enpass as it is, if I enter the master password using its hotkey to login to a website, the minimum amount of time before it auto locks is 1 minute. For the rest of my life, in that 1 minute, I need to make sure I don't give access of my laptop to anyone else, otherwise he will be able to view all my passwords. Considering how humans by nature err all the time, there is no way I can assure myself of perfect safety, I'm trying to switch from lastpass to enpass and this is the only problem I see with the enpass security model. Lastpass always asked me to enter my master password to view any password and never allowed viewing passwords without any security, even i…

  2. Use the iPhone Finger Print/Touch ID to Unlock the Mac Enpass App, with iOS widget , Apple Watch or the iPhone APP , for older Mac´s without Touch ID!

  3. Hi, I think the Passwort Audit is a nice feature, but I have some ideas to improve it. The weak and the duplicate feature is nice, also for example if you import all your new passworts. As I have some assworts, which I can't change it will remaind me that these are weak. But the old feature we can improve in my opion. As I have for each entry a random unique passwort, I will not change them every month. I have more then 200 entries. So it would be great if we can disable only the old feature (not the whole password audit, as we can do it now) or better would be, if we can change the time. For example which passwort is older then 3, 6 and 9 months. …

I need to sync with BTSync also called BitTorrent Sync. For this I need access to the data store file. Could you implement the possibility to sync the file with for example the sd card?

It would be nice if OTP-fields could be filled automatically.

  6. Started by fnkr,

It would be useful if I could sort entries (e.g. by date modified, date created, ...)

  7. Started by Random,

At my work we use Active directory, so I have a password that gets me around all different things at work, I would like to have the ability to do massive update when my password is changed. right now, in enpass i have to go into each one to change them manually. it would be great if enpass -> password audit -> identical -> can allow you to change them.

  8. Loving the Widows Hello support in the Windows 10 UWP app - but would be even better if you had the option to be able to accept the Windows Hello logon (facial recognition/fingerprint) without having to press OK, so it became almost transparent for the user whilst still secure.

    1. Put check boxes in front of digits, symbols and uppercase to quickly enable/disable. 2. Make the categories into ranges to allow for more varied password generation. Not sure how much entropy this would actually add, perhaps it is a perception issue that static numbers for the different categories is bad. 3. Perhaps under options have the possibility to edit which special characters should be valid for use (with a reset to default button). For 1 and 2 see my excellent paint skills here, the green scribbles are supposed to be checkboxes :-)

  11. Hi Enpass Team, please one feature request, I mean, that this feature many people will welcome with open hands: * add into Enpass Keyboard: add on spacebar button option longpress what show keyboard selection, same as is have original Google GBoard Because for example I using 95% time GBoard and only for web and passwords I switching on EnPass Keyboard,. Switch from GBoard on EnPassKeyboard is easy and fast, long press spacebar But switching back from EnPassKeyboard on GBoard is not so good, because I always must click on some text field on web and after slide down Notification center in android phone and here click on keyboard options, and select back …

  14. Started by gmaddry,

I would like the option to hide closed credit cards, bank accounts etc. I want to keep the information but don't need to see it most of the time.

  15. Started by treefern,

This is a minor cosmetic request. There does appear to be a lot of empty space in the UWP versions. For example username appears on one line followed by space. The next line contains the actual username. This is the same for all fields. Regards from a cold UK.

  17. A simple checkbox (radio button?) next to fields to designate one as the description display (under the title in the list column). Enpass default choices are erratic for this, forcing me to add extra text to title as description. This would be especially useful on family databases (or company, for that matter), where each member has their own account for the same services. I usually create an "Owner Name" field in these cases, but Enpass never displays this field - even if first in the list.

  18. Hi, I set up Enpass using WebDAV authentication, and that seems to work fine. However, I am currently trying to configure it for my iPhone as well, but this fails. On the iPhone, the Enpass app gives the error "Authorization failed" even with the correct URL, username and password. my server logs give the following details: Enpass on iPhone: [error] Digest: client used wrong authentication scheme `Basic': /webdav/enpass/ As you probably know HTTP supports both Basic and Digest authentication. Basic is unencryted, Digest uses a hash. So it seems that the MacOS version does support both Basic and Digest authentication, but the iPhone version …

Hi, I've been using Enpass for a good few months now and I've been loving it! But there's one big feature I'm missing since moving from Lastpass and that's the fill helper. I'm not sure how easily it can be implemented, but a fill overlay would make things a lot more streamlined and save having to open the navigation drawer to fill in forms, especially if you like to use a custom keyboard. Is this something that can be done? Thanks!

  20. How do you sync your mobile device(s) with your desktop/laptop without relying on a public cloud service? You could run an OwnCloud or WebDav server privately but it's rather heavy to set up. I have used eWallet for many years and it has a rather elegant solution to this problem: the desktop client can act as a sync server on the LAN. A trust relationship must first be established with the mobile device(s) and presto you have fully private syncing without the need to install any additional software. It sort of works the opposite way of the "local WiFi" option that's offered when you first install Enpass on an iOS device and offers true syncing as opposed to just b…

  21. Hi there, I love the new auto backup feature. It would be nice if there could be some customization around it to keep the backup folder clean and under control. For instance, I don't know when it does a backup, but it seems to do a couple a day - often early each morning once I start my computer but not always - the times are seemingly random. If you could do a backup on an event of the users choosing such as with the startup of Enpass or when it closes. And if you could also set it to do a max number of backups per day in case you are opening and closing the program multiple times. Maybe being able to choose between keeping all the backup files and to …

  25. Started by Seaman,

Hi, I've been using enpass for a while now but I haven't been too active in the community, as I guess I'm a lazy user who expects the features he wants to just rain from above some day. As I realized that was probably not going to happen, I thought I would come here and post a list of the features that would make using enpass a much better experience for me. Don't ask for the master password again until I tell it to; even through reboots. Security compromise, I know, but no one else even has access to my computer, and I can't stand typing my very long password over and over again. LastPass (the browser extension) could do this. Option to make auto-login truly …
