Hello, , this is my first day vith enpass. Must i use enpass browser or Can i use chrome with autofill?

Thanks ans sorry for my poor english...

You can autofill your login details in chrome browser. Here is a guide: https://www.enpass.io/docs/android/usebrowser.html

    * Track Generated Passwords: If I generate a new password using the extension (which I do almost exclusively), and the website accepts the new password, the extension doesn't always notice that I updated a password. In that case, I have only some seconds to realize that and paste the newly generated PW before the clipboard is emptied. This is quite annoying and it hasn't happend only once to me that I then had to reset the password because I had no idea about the 60 char random PW generated. The 1password browser extension has an option where it shows you the last generated password and the main application keeps a list of all generated passwords. So even if the extension doesn't update the password itself, you can later go into that list and manually update the password.
This is the most major feature I wish Enpass had :(

You can view the history of generated passwords when you click on the clock icon in the bottom right.

Password History: When I change my password and the extension updates it, it would be great to have a history of the previous passwords. For example if something goes wrong with the password change, or just to look it up in case some other website did not yet get the update of a Single-Sign-On portal.

There is a password history in the element view.

I just also wanted to chime in and say I love the portable version of Enpass, and throw my support behind the same request everyone else here is voicing:

By default use a standard path to the wallet that is relative to enpass.exe, and if the wallet file exists, don't show the configuration dialog at all.

If you do this, the portable version of Enpass is the only version anybody needs. The normal non-portable desktop version might as well be retired.

  4. For example:

Enpass is minimized to tray and I need to login to Spotify.

First, I click on the enpass icon and the popup window opens.

Then I open the spotify entry, copy my username and paste it in the spotify login field.

The problem is, if I want to copy my password now, I have to search for the Spotify entry again, because the window closes when I click into an other program.

It would be nice, if the current state of the window will be saved.

    Thx!

As a side note, lastpass remembers the generated passwords anyway for each site, even if it doesn't know whether you used it. That would be a useful feature.

It does save a history of generated passwords (even if it doesn't know whether you use it), but it doesn't save the specific site. https://www.enpass.io/docs/desktop-linux/passgen.html#password-history

Every time when I create a new item in enpass I have to enter my username and my mailadress manually.
Normally i use up to 5 different usernames and mailadresses over the most of my accounts.

So, it would be easier if I could choose out of a list of my usernames or mailadresses when I select one of the elements.

    - the list could be created automatically out of the previous stored items.
    - or the different usernames and mailadresses has to be stored once in the enpass-settings

    Best wishes

Good point! Would like to see this feature, too.

    Hi @tobias,

Sorry for the trouble. Please let us know some details for further investigation.

    • On which devices (all of them, along with OS version) are you using Enpass?
    • Which Enpass version are you running?
    • Are you using two step verification in Google drive?
    • Log into your Google Drive account and look for the Enpass folder there (should be one Enpass folder there). Now inside that folder, check for the sync_default.walletx for the number of copies it has (should be one)

    Waiting for your reply!:)

    Thanks for the answer!

I checked my Drive and found out that there were 2 folder for enpass. (Image below).

So, I have deleted the second one. Hopefully the problem is now solved.

This also seems to be an issue for the latest Android release. On both my Nexus 6p and Nexus 9, sync works after clearing data for the app, but fails every time thereafter. It simply shows the spinning circle for as long as I let it. It works on my somewhat older Windows client if I close / reopen the app. For now, I just copy manually from box and restore, but this is a pain.

I also have this problem on Android and Windows.
