modelator Posted September 6, 2019 Report Share Posted September 6, 2019 There are always unforeseen circumstances, and if your site suddenly becomes unavailable, there should be a backup site for downloading installation files. Create a GitHub account and distribute your releases there. Downloading from a third-party site (softportal, softpedia) is not safe, but it’s safe to download from an official github account. ttk Posted October 1, 2019 Report Share Posted October 1, 2019 I disagree. Github is for distributing source code, and eventually releases made from this source code. Just uploading binary artifacts without the code is not what git and Github was made for.
