Using enpass with windows 10 and chrome doesn't work. After installing the extension for chrome I can't connect the enpass app with the enpass extension for chrome. I always get the error "Enpass assistent can't connect to the Enpass-App" (Enpass-Assistent kann keine Verbindung zur Enpass-App herstellen).

On the same windows 10 system enpass is working fine with edge.

Any hint what could be the reason for this behaviour?

I have the same problem! Only Edge works fine. Firefox extension has the same error.

My configuration is Win 10 1809 | Enpass traditional 32bit 6.1 | Extension 6.02

 

Same issue here. @workaholic63 Can you confirm that you are using the traditional version of Enpass too? Maybe it's an issue with that (because the bug doesn't seem to get a lot of attention)

Edit: Just tested the Micro$oft store version. Same behaviour.

Tested possible work around

Same problem.

Using  MacOs Mojave 10.14.5

Enpass 6.1.0(390)

In FireFox 67.0.2  (64bits)

also Chrome Versión 74.0.3729.169 (Build oficial) (64 bits).

It was working with FireFox, but I don't know when it stopped working.

  • On which device (along with OS version) are you using Enpass?
  • Which Enpass and Enpass extension version are you using?
  • Are you facing the same problem with other browsers too?
  • Are you using any Antivirus or third-party security-related extension?

Also, please share the logs of Enpass app and Extension? It will be invaluable to our technical team to understand and address the issue.

You can enable the logs from the app by following these steps:

  • For Enpass app:  Go to Settings > Browser > Enable logs.
  • For Extension: Go to Enpass extension's options page > Enable logs.
  • Quit the app. Even from the System Tray or Menu Bar. Open the app.
  • Restart the browser.
  • Copy the logs of Enpass app and extension.

It's working now, After several attempt, I gave up, Next day I try again, it start working, I guess, restarting the computer could be the solution at least for me.  Thanks.
