Hi
Yes, we recently released a new beta version 6.0.0.220. You can find all the latest beta version numbers and there release notes here https://www.enpass.io/enpass-beta-downloads/.
If you have installed the last beta from Store it should be updated automatically, and for website version you will get the prompt to update.
Now we are very soon releasing the final stable version
I am facing the same issue as others where I am using Android / iOS and Windows plateform sync on a WebDAV folder on my NAS.
Android and iOS automatically create a folder named "Enpass6-Beta" under the WebDAV folder of synchronization and therefore synchronize with each other.
But the Windows 6 Beta from the Store is creating a "Enpass" folder and therefore it is a different database that cannot synchronize with the other database (used by iOS / Android).
How am I supposed to do?
Do I have to wait for official release? It has been in beta since 6 months so both database starts to differ quite a bit (and testing a beta means living with it and using it so I do not use the V5 anymore)?
Do I have to wait for the official release for iOS / Android where the folder created will be "Enpass"? Will I have then to rename simply the "Enpass6-Beta" in "Enpass" or is it supposed to be done automatically but therefore conflicting already with the "Enpass" folder from the Windows 6 Beta version?
I am kind of lost...

I only just bought enpass as I switched from 1Password. I have jumped straight into v6 beta and I am pretty happy with it. Android works great, Windows 10 works grreat (some usability stuff could be improved, I did another thread on that)
Any great work thanks!
p.s. is 6 beta the first one with Windows Hello support?
Enpass had since a long time an Universal app in the Store supporting Windows Hello (so working great on Windows Phone) but to use the Edge extension, it had to interface with another Enpass version (also in the Store), based on the legacy WIN32 program, and this one did not supported Windows Hello.
So basically, when you wanted to fill credential in the browser, you have to type the password to unlock the extension (or use a PIN).
It could be seen as well in the scaling. Although there was features in the parameters to support high res screen, changing of resolution (like on a Microsoft Surface high res screen that you dock on a big screen with lower resolution), it was a bit of a mess in an multi-screen setup.
So much improvment on this version, really, it is a milestone version.
By the way, coming also from 1Password (some time ago though). All the family switched to Enpass.

First, I want to thank Enpass for this huge upgrade.
The Windows version is MUCH better: support of Windows Hello, the Edge extension (that used to be sometime hidden behind the Edge windows), the scaling (between screens of different resolution), the support of website icons... This version brings so much goodies.
Android version is great as well and the support of Auto-filling for iOS a must have.
Now, I just want to report an issue : selection of entry in the "Enpass assistant" does not work with touch !!!
Selection in the list work but it does "double click" (launch the filling)...
Selecting with the mouse (pen) works but not with touch (finger) so it is basically impossible to fill credentials in tablet mode !?!

Worked perfectly for me (Switzerland). So glad it works natively now and without hack.
Just would like to have Windows Hello support like the UWP because this is really a killer feature.
-
Sorry, after trial and error and trying again, it finally works.
Enpass coming officially in the Store is a HUUUUUUUGE news !!!!!!!!

Same for me, I installed fresh on a SP4 Windows 10 1703 15063.608 and the Enpass versions of the 1st page of this memo (5.3.3.1) and the Extension.
Unfortunately, it does not work (nothing appear when I click on the extension button). I tried to update the desktop version to the proposed 5.6 but there is no choice for the Beta support for Edge or tried also to install the latest beta version (5.9 I think) but it does not change anything.
Could you help?
Support of Enpass for Edge is capital for me (as I use also the great Enpass Windows 10 Mobile version) but if it does not work anymore, I will have to come back to Lastpass or others...

I am having the same issue. After performing some debugging of the extension, it appears the websocket connection is being blocked by Enpass with a 403 error response. It attempts to connect to ws://127.0.0.1:10391 first but is denied, then proceeds to try the next 4 port numbers but fails to connect since Enpass is obviously listening to 10391. Any help with this would be great.
On my side, no issue while running Build 15048 and Enpass 5.4. It works exactly like before...

Exactly. Roboform is like Lastpass in the sense that you have to use an Everywhere account that is basically saving the encrypted database on their site.
If you are fine with that, both are a great option. Some however do not trust the password manager to store also the database itself. Either because of the risk of the software maker employee themselves or because it is a highly visible target for hackers as they are all the password of the users on one single location for a company that is doing only that (storing password).
So some people prefer to have the database stored locally or on their own cloud of choice. This is why Enpass is facing the same issue as 1Password to release a Edge extension that would not use this "trick". However, I am using the so-called beta Edge extension since July and it works mostly great. The only recurrent issue I have is the Enpass windows losing the front focus sometimes (so I have to recharge the extension so that the window would be visible).

The error I had, like the other poster, has resolved. Is it after a reboot? Cannot tell.
I love using the extension as it saves a lot of time. I have a few questions / request though:
- is there some update to the version 3.1 beta? And if yes, how can we grab them?
- is there a way to enable Windows Hello support for the desktop version of Enpass like the UWP, considering we have to use the desktop program to make it work?
-
still a few bugs to iron:
1/ sometimes, the windows of Enpass does not appear when cliking on the extension button, forcing to "recharge the extension" to have the right behaviour
2/ the window is quite small on a Surface Pro 3 and could be slightly bigger as it is quite cramped
3/ no way to force Enpass to save a page with credentials when it does not detect and propose it itself. Is it something that could be added?
Otherwise, great great work. the portable version, the iOS version and UWP version on W10M and Windows 10. Great work.

I have exactly the same issue as above. Was working till yesterday and now it is asking me to connect to Edge. I also re-run the cmd prompt command but cannot make it work anymore.
I am using Production Build (not insider anymore since Anniversary update).
-
Thank you as well for the extension! It changes life!
There are some cosmetic work maybe to be done as the list appear in small font on high DPI screen like on the Surface. Also, there is no way to save a new entry from the browser (do not know if this is implemented yet on Opera or other browser extensions) but otherwise, it is really great.
I had the same issue as Excessive above that I had to restart the extension at every start. Now, I have just a message from Edge asking me if I want to allow extensions to be activated. Not a big deal and I guess will be removed once they will be "official" extension (not activated through developer mode).
Continu the tremendous good work. Enpass is on the roll to be the best password manager from cross-plateform users!

Changes have been effective and I received the beta update. The always active Windows Hello is HUUUUUGE. This is something that was really bothering me compared to Enpass on the iPhone of my wife with TouchID but now, it is just great.
Also, all the other changes are really nice. TOTP is a nice addition (but needs to be handled with care because of the security impact) even if I think I like the iOS nice animation compared to the timer but this is nitpicking honestly.
Great great work from Enpass team and now, what i think most people are eagerly waiting is the release of Enpass Edge extension on W10. I am jaleous now that LastPass has released there.

I enrolled to the beta program, using the Microsoft email of my account and still see nothing after 3 days. Is there anything special to do on the Lumia ?
Using a Lumia 950 and a Surface, both on latest buils 14366...
-
Hello,
I am currently registered for Beta Program but did not receive any email. How can we get the Edge Extension ? I am really eagerly expecting it as LastPass has released theirs.
Would you have a link to get it ?
-
I must add that now, if I try to change the MP on one Windows device (Surface on W10 or Lumia on W10 Mobile), I cannot because just after the change, the synchronization is asking me to enter the MP and none of the new nor the old one is accepted.
So I have to close the app and just unlock it with my old MP A without any possibility to change the MP. This behaviour is reminiscent of the bug I had with DropBox and that you were supposed to have solved with the latest version. Unfortunately, as explained above, I cannot switch to GoogleDrive so cannot tell if this is a bug linked to usage of DropBox or Enpass in general.
Thanks for your help.

It is an issue as well on W10 where the headers are truncated even if we are not displaying the content of one record on the right pane...
-
Appreciate tremendous work you do on this application. It is for me also a REAL burden as the switch to Enpass and the fact that I paid 3 times (for 2 different iOS devices / account and Windows Phone / Windows) was because of this support of Windows Hello.
I am not sure about the real problem for the developer behind but this is a real hindrance. On the iPhone, it is only required when restarting the phone. On Windows Phone, it is required each time the logoff time in the settings occurs which is a maximum of 12h and it seems even then, it still required more often for whatever reasons...
-
I seem to have exactly the same problem and still unsolved.
First, I was synchronizing with DropBox but had some issues so switch to Google Drive. Since it is a bug that have been acknowledge and normally solved, I switched back to DropBox.
I am sharing the SAME database accross all my devices and the one from my family :
- Surface Pro 3 : modern version
- work computer : desktop version (upgraded to 5.0.5 latest version) + Firefox extension
- various iPhone and Windows phone devices from me, son and wife
Here is description of the issue :
- Yesterday, I decided to change the Master Password A to B. I made the change at work on the desktop version. I ensured that the synchronization occur. Now, I can only log in with MP B
- Then, I switch to my Windows Phone but it still requires my old MP A, even after the synchronization. Then, I choose to change also the MP on the Windows Phone with the new MP B. But then, when doing the synchronization, I am asked to enter the password for Dropbox and none of the old A or new MP B are working ?!?
- So I uninstalled the app, reinstalled from the Store and setup back the synchronization from DropBox and the MP asked is still A with no way to change it to B
I have therefore to use different MP for different device and I do not dare doing some changes on the other device by fear or messing even more.
On top of that, I am stuck because I tried to move back to GoogleDrive but when setting up the synchronization, on Windows phone, when I arrive to the approval page of Google Drive, the Cancel / Approve button are greyed with no way to click on them so it is impossible to set up anymore the synchronization with GoogleDrive on Windows Phone...

Thanks for your incredible responsiveness. It was not critic and I realize that the other "big" players took virtually years (with a S) to implement such features.
I just wanted to be as transparent as possible about strength and weakness in selecting a Password Manager. Me and my family are quite focus on this aspect. When I say family, I am speaking of brothers and father. My father was in IT and as such is making the IT personal advises for family or friends : what devices to purchase, how to set them up...
A password manager is therefore one of the basis he is pushing to its "clients". This is why it happened that we tested different software, on different plateforms (Windows, iOS, OS X, Windows phone and Android) and why Enpass just grab my attention so quickly.
I am overly optimistic on Enpass if those 2 big features (form filling) and way to share password would improve as there would really not be a lot of other main features that other can brag about while having some distinctive advantages : cross-plateform with great Windows / Windows mobile app with Windows Hello support, browser extension, configurable record, password history, offline storage + various cloud support...
You are really already ticking an awful lot of tick boxes so continue the great work !

So I tried yesterday and while Enpass see the folder and database, the synchronization displays an error. I guess you cannot make exactly the same thing in term of editing for a shared file compared to the one in your OneDrive.
Actually, I realized that no program is perfect. This is a big feature that LastPass has and that Enpass lack.
Because even if using a 3rd party cloud like I finally did (DropBox), the issue is that the Master Password is shared to all the family members need to use the same password as me. This is quite an issue.
LastPass allows to share folders or password while maintaining the master password choosen by each family members. As the master password is used to encrypt the database, I am not clear how they do that because it would mean having the shared entries or folder encrypted several times. This is maybe only easily possible in the way LastPass store the encrypted database at their premises ?
Anyway, I like Enpass very much but for it to become perfect and offer the best of all other competitors, it needs :
- support for filling form (browser extension) (like LastPass, 1Password)
- support for sharing password / database / folder (like LastPass and 1Password Family now)
Because it offers also things unique like : Windows Hello support (like 1Password but not LastPass), support for editing and integrated browser on Windows phone / Windows 10 app (like LastPass), Continuum (works great).
I know that those are not easy feature to include and that the market is highly competitive in this field. But Enpass is already in the very best group (from all the one that I have tried and used and that I do not mention) and just need those 2 features to be over the top.

Ah, that is a good idea. I indeed try to have my folder Share with him. But did not think about add it to its OneDrive to have it physically at the root.
It may do the trick. I will try tonight and report. Thanks again for the tip.

Hello,
I am having an issue because I want to share my OneDrive database with my family members.
For my wife, under iOS, this is not an issue as when choosing "Existing database / OneDrive", the application ask anyway the account credentials so I just enter mine (my Microsoft account credentials) and it finds it and synchronize.
But for my son, also sporting a Windows phone, the issue is that it looks directly in its OneDrive account, without asking me to enter the account credential (it picks up the account of the phone) and without anyway to change the account where to look.
So I see no possibility how I could share the same database except using a 3rd party cloud (like Drop Box or other).
Does someone has the solution ? This is a big dealbreaker as I need to have my passwords shared within my family.

I was hoping the an Edge extension might be on the road map
I hope it definitely is. Once all the extensions are released for Edge (the Redstone version is already working with some), it should be pretty straighforward as Enpass already has Chrome extension. And it should not require in such case (I hope) the desktop application running but I may be mistaken.

it seems a Windows Hello behavior. I cannot see when this is triggering that because it works several hours but at some point, it re-asks the password (or when you restart of course the phone).
I am saying that because 1Password seems to have the same behaviour.
A new beta for Android is now available with bunch of new features, bug fixes and quality improvements

I posted this also on Windows Beta forum as I do not know the best place.
