December 29, 20214 yr +1 vote from me! When displaying all entries in the desktop app, it is not possible to recognize which category an entry belongs to. It would be great if you could add such a visual thing into entries.

Enpass is having a wide number of categories and predefined templates to help you store your information quickly in a more organized way. February 26, 20224 yr DenalB, you could also use Tags. Both as a visual identifier, and as a means of further sorting items within the same category. I use tags all the time.
September 17, 2025Sep 17 I love Enpass but it would be even better if it could have the Category displayed when I open an entry (still not available as I write this). Perhaps when I select "Add Field", Category could be a selectable option and have the current Category displayed in that field. Not sure why it isn't displayed, it almost seems like a bug since Category is the top-level organizational element. Please consider support for this.

We understand your point regarding displaying the Category when opening an entry. Currently, Category works as a top-level organizational element and is not shown as a field within the item itself. That said, your suggestion to make it visible (and even selectable when adding fields) is very valid, and we’ve shared it with our product team for consideration in future updates.
