November 3, 20223 yr New tab, open a webpage, enpass pops up with 2 (!) windows and I should authenticate. Why? Nobody asked it to do anything. I just opened a webpage. Why do I have to authenticate and open enpass for this?
November 3, 20223 yr Hi @Idoki To assist you better with your query, please share the below details with me - The version of the Enpass app, OS, Enpass Extension and browser you are using. Are you facing this concern on all the webpages or any particular ones? Kindly share the name and URL of a few so we may investigate them. A screenshot of the error you are referring to would be helpful..
November 3, 20223 yr Author Enpass and extension 6.8.4 Safari Version 16.1 (18614.2.9.1.12) Ventura 13.0 (22A380) Seems like it's not webpage specific, it can happen everywhere, also on this page (https://discussion.enpass.io) I'll attach a screenshot when I see it next time. Refresh doesn't seem to trigger it every time.
November 4, 20223 yr Hi @Idoki Do share the screenshot with us when it happens again, and we will be more than happy to get it checked for you.
November 5, 20223 yr Author Looks like it pops up every time enpass locks itself. Completely unusable like this. This thing is getting worse by the week.
November 8, 20223 yr Hi @Idoki Thank you for sharing the screenshot. I have forwarded this concern to our dedicated team and will get back to you soon with an update. Your patience in the meantime is appreciated. #SI-3172
November 9, 20223 yr Hi @Idoki We were able to reproduce the bug on our end, due to which this issue is occurring. Our development team is now working on fixing it, and a patch addressing this issue will be released soon. We appreciate your cooperation and support in the interim.
November 10, 20223 yr I have exact the same issue and running the same versions as Idoki. It is a very annoying bug as it pops up in almost every website I open and needs 3 clicks to get the popup from the screen. I really hope an update with solution is coming soon as else I need to shut down enpass until the fix.
November 28, 20223 yr Been plagued by this for some time. Clicking 3 times to dismiss Enpass when no password is needed is a real pain. Please fix this! Edited November 29, 20223 yr by Macrossroads Forgot to add screenshot
November 28, 20223 yr Author I like the “3 weeks later” label from their own bug tracker I advise everyone to go and report enpass at Apple or wherever you purchased it. Ask for refund.
November 29, 20223 yr Sheesh. So glad I'm not the only one haunted by this BUG - and pops up after entering this forum for what reason?
December 14, 20223 yr Hi @all While we are working on fixing the reported issue, as a workaround, you can turn off the ‘Autofill on page load’ option for now. Here’s how you can do it - To disable autofill on page load in Safari: Click Enpass icon on the toolbar, then click the More (three-bars icon), and choose Settings > Browser Settings. Click the Safari Browser button to open a Safari page of Enpass settings. Turn off the Autofill on page load toggle.
December 23, 20223 yr Author Shame on the team not being able to fix anything within a reasonable time.
January 18, 20233 yr It is really annoying. Every time i log in to my Router / Switch / NAS / Eblocker this windows pop up. In the meantime i have checked and tested all settings, without effort. Please solve this problem! Edited January 18, 20233 yr by Ulmisch
March 13, 20233 yr Hi @Idoki We have released a patch for this issue in our v6.8.5 stable build. Kindly update your Enpass app to the latest version and share your findings with me.
March 15, 20233 yr Author So it's been released for a month now but the support doesn't bother updating the issue to let users know. https://www.enpass.io/release-notes/macos Since we were told to turn off the feature, how would we ever know it's fixed? Thanks for the fix, but it took an awful long and the issue wasn't updated. Enpass is not getting any better, I'm considering an alternative even having paid for it.
