Feature requests

When I create a password with symbols on it I found issues with websites (many) that only accept certain symbols. It is quite annoying to have to replace the symbols manually. In theory I could write in Enpass the Symbols to exclude but generally I do not know which are they. Website usually give you the opposite information, the allowed symbols. Therefore I would like to see an input field for the allowed symbols.

I would really love to see 2FA being enabled for the master account/authentication. In my opinion the weakest link is at the vaults and at the master password being not further protected by two/multi factor auth. Please add this feature Thanks

When editing an item, right now is needed to start typing to show an autocomplete with the already added tags. For a better UX it would be nice to show and be able to just click on an already proposed tag, perhaps 3 or 5 most common, or a dropdown with all of them.

For local web development I might use weak passwords like test, admin or 1234. Since it is a local environment it isn't a risk, but I get the Enpass warning. Would be nice to mark an item to deliberately weak

Apologies if this has been requested before. I would like the ability to have a drop down selection box for email address and username whereby you can select previously used when setting up a new record. This would save having to type out every time.

Hi, I'm absolutely loving Enpass so far, but I was wondering if it would be possible to make it easier to share passwords. Currently you have the amazing feature of allowing us to securely share a key between us and then encrypting passwords using that key. However, unless you select to share it as an email you get an ungodly long URL. However, if you do select the email option you receive a nice file. It would be nice to have the option of downloading the file without creating a blank email first on both mobile and desktop versions of Enpass. Both mobiles and PC's these days can let Enpass read the file without issue. Thank you.

Perhaps this is already there, but I couldn't find it. My suggestion is this. In the event of duress, someone threatening or police or other pressure, a pass phrase or word typed in, instead of the usual password, that would lock out, wipe or scramble all password data. Yes, you could refuse to give out the password, but as long as the data existed there would be the possibility that eventually they could find the password.

Currently, the only way to add a file attachment to a card is to click the 'Add File' button, navigate to the folder that contains the file, select file. It would be a lot simpler if the cards also supported drag and drop, i.e. you simply drag a file onto a card, and it gets added as a file to the card.

While I know the audit page has been contentious, I see the value of it. What I feel is lacking is features within that to do things with the information that's not manual. A prime example is identical passwords: sometimes this is because there's just duplicate entries (maybe you accidentally saved the app and website separate? maybe two different websites use the same login system, etc). It'd be great to have a merge option (wherever a field differs, copy it over as a new field), a suggested auto-merge button could be nice too (for entries where the only difference is that one has some additional fields over the other. Right now you have to leave "All Vaults" and go to the vault an item lives in before the option to move it comes up. This seems counter-intuitive.

Last year I mentioned problems with folder sync - it can take ages to auto-sync or doesn't happen at all while the program is open. The only way I can be sure that it syncs is by locking and unlocking Enpass, so that it syncs automatically when Enpass opens. I was told that a Quick Sync button would be added to the list of improvements. Ideally I would like a setting for how often Enpass auto-syncs while open, but a Quick Sync button would at least allow me to know for certain that the sync has occurred. I would be grateful if you would consider this request again. Thank you.

There are four additiona filter in sidebar irght now: TOTP, Attachments, Archived and Trashed. I would like to ask to add new filter in this category calling "Expired", which must collect all records which contain field-type "Expiry date" with value lower than current date (expired). Not only Credit cards, but any record with such type of field. Because I use it viery widely in many records. For example, expired subscription, expired document, expired invoice and many others. If you will add such filter I will immediately can see all records, that already expired.

Hi. I just noticed that I could not save new logins when I sign up for a new site or a new account for any site from the browser or app itself on Android. I'm a previous user of LastPass & Bitwarden for a long time and both provide the option in the form of a notification/pop up to save a new login directly where it autofills all the data. Also when I get a prompt to autofill with enpass and I go to autofill screen after pin/biometric authentication, there is no option to add a new entry (it is present in bitwarden - you can add a new entry for the site(url is added automatically) with username and generate a strong random password and this instantly shows up in the a…

I have several hundred records in my Vault I Use categories to organize all my records, but there are too many of them, even inside one category. So, I ask ability to make nested categories, as I can found in other password managers. It's will help me to organize my records in more logical way. I just don't want to keep all my categories in root level, because there are too many of them ...

I'm not sure when this started, but there is no longer a preview in the selection for the credentials to fill in a website. Imagine I have a website with 20 different logins, I now cannot tell which one I want to use (refer to the screenshot), thus make the extension useless.

Simple cosmetic request. Implement a setting that only shows the Categories which has any associated items in the leftmost pane, basically hiding empty categories. I know you can hide the categories manually, but it makes sense to have this done dynamically.

Could you please consider one small visual change to the way the card numbers are displayed? Sometimes there is a need to type in card numbers manually. It is much easier to do when card numbers are delimited visually like XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. Can you please add default card number format options in the settings? Or maybe add additional Field Type as Card Number Delimited so everyone could choose? Of course, clipboard format must be without any spaces. Thanks!

The biggest thing I'm missing right now is the ability to save a site password from the browser extension, when the site is not correctly auto-detected. I'm thinking a (+) Add site button below the Generate password button, or as an item in the menu. It would be really nice if this were to integrate nicely with the password history if the Password generator, either allowing to create an item from a generated password, or maybe allowing to select a recently generated password when creating a new item.

These days, it's hard to not leave behind a digital footprint. People can often learn a lot about you just by googling your username. I think that Enpass could really help solve this problem by offering a random username generator. The usernames could be nonsensical, or they could be created from a predefined dictionary. It would also be nice to have a general random generator so that you could generate random values for any field, but I think this would be more difficult to implement. One possible use case would be randomly selecting an email to use from a list of your email addresses, which would also make it harder for people to track your online activities.

here's an idéa. You've taken steps so that Enpass is now relying on your servers for licensechecking, fetching favico and probably something more. At the sametime we're in a pandemic where it's difficult for people to maintain security and integrity for some tasks. This includes sharing sensitve stuff like logins and passwords. For a mature organisation, there's probably less need for this internally since there's SAML, AD, AAD and other means, and of course if everyone has Enpass, you can share encrypted cards securely over email as long as you can get the PSK over in a secure manner.
