Feature requests

Tell us here what features you would like to see in upcoming releases of Enpass.

  1. Windows 10 1909 - Enpass PC Software 6.4.2 (669) Firstly thank you for the desktop software, it really is excellent. Operationally I find Enpass much easier to use than LastPass, but it does contain some features that would be a welcome addition to Enpass. An e-mail audit, in addition to the password audit, could then warn of e-mail breaches, rather than needing to manually enter each address into haveibeenpwned. Secondly a numeric value for the password strength indicator, would in addition to Average, Good, Excellent etc., provide a more meaningful comparison between passwords. Typically strength is shown as a percentage, but as your scale exceeds 10…

  2. Hi 1Password offers a feature called Watchtower. That points out stored logins where 2FA is available but not used yet. Any change you are going to integrate that as well? I would like to know when a website offers 2FA which I don't use yet. I would like to check all my logins at once. https://twofactorauth.org Thanks Mike

  3. 1. I would like to be able to pause the sync for (1 hour, 2 hour, 3 hour, 6 hour, 24 hour, indefinitely) Reason: I don't like the fact that it starts syncing the moment I make a change. I want only one sync done when I'm done so when I sit down to work, I would like to pause it for a certain time). Of course if the software is restarted it should automatically start with sync enabled. 2. Disable Autosubmit Reason: More control over the login process. I would like to be able to disable autosubmit for all sites and re-enable it when I find it necessary. Thank you. Great software by the way. Loving it so far except for the few wishlist items.

  4. Hi Enpass team As you may know, the newest stable Windows 10 update (1809) brought in a new clipboard that can save multiple items into a history and even sync that history via cloud to other devices. Of course that's not really what I want to happen with my passwords. Recently KeePass released their version 2.41 that includes an option to prevent the application from saving passwords into that history. Could you maybe look into such an option too?

Sometimes when we want to create an account in some sites, we don't want to share our personal emails (thus ending in pwned lists). So a way to increate security by entropy is to never repeat an email. Apple is rolling out this on beta versions, basically you can create a random hash @ apple.me, and that is a forward to your personal email. Now, for those who we don't wanto to give apple all our data, I came out with a hacky solution: Change email to "password" type, remove "sensitive" and add "exclude from audit" (just for sanity check) Use the password generator to create a nice hash of characters and add @yourwebsite.com to form the email Have …

Using Enpass with Windows Hello (camera) can be difficult when you are using multiple screens, e.g. a laptop and an external monitor. You have keep your eyes pointing towards your camera to unlock with Windows Hello. If the Windows Hello dialogue is shown on a second screen you cannot simply click the Hello "OK" button by turning your line of sight towards the dialogue. Turning your head will instantly telling Windows Hello to deny your request although you already had been authorized by looking into the camera.

I like a cleanup database feature. My database is getting bigger and bigger maybe it also needs better compression. Cleanup old passwords(history) Remove custom icons that are not used. Check database for errors

  12. First off, just wanted to say I'm a long time user of Enpass - awesome product I love it! But recently I've started to make use of more vaults, and I've hit the restriction of only 1 vault per OneDrive account. I have three vaults setup: 1 person, 1 shared with my wife, and 1 for work stuff. My personal vault is stored on my personal OneDrive account. My account shared with my wife we had to store on Google Drive. My work stuff is stored on my work OneDrive account. Trying to setup a personal and business OneDrive account in Enpass is NOT easy. It opens the browser window, which in my case defaults to auto sign in for my personal account.…

  13. I have a problem sharing passwords. I encrypt it with PSK and have created different PSKs for different participants. If I now want to share a password and I want to encrypt it with PSK, I don't know which PSK to choose because the PSK Select Box is much too narrow and I only see the first 8 characters of the name. I have prefixed my PSKs and now I only see this. I use Enpass on Mac.

Hello, I was looking to ask for the following suggestion: In certain password managers (lastpass, 1password) the browser extensions have a login field button. This button has a dropdown lets you quickly fill a login if your vault is unlocked making the process a lot more seamless for mouse users. It would be great if enpass could add something like this! This can be seen here:

I saw a request from 2016 that had been closed and was wondering if the idea of barcodes has been disregarded or is something that may show up in the future. It would be nice for all sorts of loyalty cards/grocery/shopping, or any ID that relies on scanning barcodes. Obviously making this a feature that can be displayed on smart watches would be super helpful as well.

  20. I sync my Vaults with Webdav to our Company NAS. There I have to login with my credentials. The Password Policy forces me to change my password every 90 days. After changing my password, i'm not able to sync my vault bc. my stored webdav credentials are outdated. Unfortunally it is not possible to change the credentials. I have to delete the sync and set it up new - so i have to write the URL, username and password for every vault. On every device. This is annoying and could be more userfriendly if you put there an button to change service credentials. And an additional top notch feature: Please let me generate an QR code in enpass.io desktop app for every container.…

Hi, in the UWP its possible to start the app and just use Windows Hello, would like to see this in the new version of Enpass too. And atm after Enpass locked the current session, you've to manually select Hello to unlock, it's just an extra step, but after a while it gets really annoying :-) thanks

Hello, I am a French user of Enpass :), sorry if my English is not very good I have a question. In a future update, will Enpass integrate an authentication option without having to go through the extension icon but directly via the authentication field? Like for example on this badly made photo

  25. Hi there, Just a simple request: That Enpass has the ability to generate custom keyfiles. By default, Enpass estimates certain policies for its generation (128-bit or 256-bit), and as an option, it can be of almost any type of file extension (which is not so obvious, for advanced users). Even if it may be possible to use images with hidden text (steganography), either generated within the same Enpass or by third-party software. Understanding that steganography does not encrypt content, but as a way to hide already encrypted content in an image. KeePass (and clones) allow you to use custom keyfiles (almost any file), and I understand that it is authe…
