Feature requests

I am starting to love Enpass. But I am also minimizing my dependencies on cloud services like Google Drive, Dropbox etc. I have switched to SyncThing which is now used to sync my Whatsapp msg backup folder, the Whatsapp media folder, my phone camera folder and my phone pictures folder. The most important one is Enpass. I believe this would simply work if Enpass would store the encrypted database in a folder that has the same name/structure across OS's (Debian, Android, Windows). Can this be easily implemented?

Hi, For work, I often connect my laptop to the networks of companies that block connections to Google Drive, Dropbox, etc (to avoid data theft). The problem is that some of them also log blocked attempts and may temporary suspend my proxy account. At the moment, to prevent unsuccessful connections from Enpass, I set a fake proxy (such as "127.0.0.1:1234") so I can use Enpass "offline" (in it I have the credentials of many network devices that I manage). Then, when I connect to an "open" network, I remove the fake proxy and Enpass uses the system proxy to sync. Hi, it would be great if you can release either an API on the offline client or a programming SDK to interact with the database to clean up and modify the password entries. Example use case: Remove all autosubmit properties from all entries which could be easily done with a programming language

It would be nice if Enpass could store the password history for an account, retaining previously used passwords (passwords that were actually saved, not just generated) in a list or note that can be viewed on demand on the account card itself. Thank you!

Hi I would like to clean up the database; for instance, for every item that has both a location and a website, only keep one of the two. Is there any way to run a script to achieve such thing? Best

Website icons is a two-edged one for me. Having the favicon in the list makes anybody's life with many passwords sooooo much easier. On the other hand, there's the privacy issue. #1 reason for me to use Enpass is the ability to have my OWN back-end to store the encrypted vault. Since the value of customized icons is huge, I'm willing to enable the setting once. That's as in one time. Then disable it, to protect my privacy and not let Enpass know any more of my sites, until I choose otherwise. Can anybody guess what happens to icons ALREADY DOWNLOADED?! What!! Why!!

Scenario: We have multiple Vaults on multiple Webdav Servers. Some of the Webdav Servers running in Strict Networks (the client can only connect if the client is in the same network). Problem: This results in many messages due to synchronization errors (we know that these hosts are not reachable for the current network). Solution: Maybe a checkbox for every Vault in Vault Management (e.g. Prevent error output) to stop this.

Hello, I have a request: In 1Password you can press "alt" inside of the Application to display the password. For now with Enpass I always have to click on the eye logo next to the Password to display it. This would be a nice feature. Thank you Regards

Currently, when you use Attach File on Android, it only presents the local file system as an option to navigate and select from. Could this page also allow Cloud storage apps in use on the phone (OneDrive, Google Drive, etc) to be navigated and files attached from these locations?

Almost all websites would tell you which symbols or special characters they support. Please give us this feature! Copy all symbols and then delete each supported symbol by hand is quite cruel, especially when you have to do it each time when you try to change the password. Better yet, give us also a check box to switch between Include and Exclude Symbols.

Hi, I want a resolution to a horrible problem with my Mac. Whenever I try to open a folder, containing images, it simply does not open. A dialogue box comes out saying Mac Error Code 43. Has anyone of you faced similar situations? If yes, revert requested. I can't understand how to get out of this.

It would be very helpful if I could add actual .PEM key files into an actual Enpass secret. For example (RSA) Private Keys which are generated for various purposes like certificate generation or encryption. The workaround at the moment is to copy and paste the data into a new multiline (sensitive) field and save it. Notes doesn't allow the sensitive data to be hidden from view, nor are multiple notes possible. Ideally, I would just attach the PEM file into the secret and move on. This would shorten the time needed to copy the text from the secret, open a text editor, paste, save, then use it.

Request a feature to make it easier to fill/populate the web page's TOTP request. Should be similar to populating the username and password. For example: Right click the web field, select Enpass from context menu, paste TOTP. Thank you.

Hi, Actually, I've some requests: First, in the password verification feature, we have 3 options about the password age: 3 to 6 months 6 to 12 months 1 to 3 years I would like add a fourth option : 3 to 6 years. I know that some password older that 3 years should be considered as insecure and should be changed. But I would like know how much of my passwords are older that 1 or 3 years. Because now it's a little hard to say if some of my password are really old or not. Second, the dark theme should be modified a little. Personally, I don't really like the blue/black theme. If you have all vaults in Enpass selected, you currently cannot move or copy entries to other vaults (see disabled option in context menu "Zu Tresor hinzufügen"). If you have selected a single vault instead, you can move or copy to other vaults. This is something with low priority I guess, but may be changed quickly. Both technically and for usability, I don't see a reason for why this currently is as it is.

I've been using Enpass for a while now and i'm well satisfied as my first password manager. An aspect that concern me the the most though, is the lack of protection aganist a master password sniffing attack or leak. Basically, as i understand, if you have the master password you can decrypt the database and take all the passwords, easy, without a second factor authenticantion or somenthing similar to stop it. And since you need to manually insert the master password everytime you want to unlock Enpass, this make the job easy for a keylogger, a zero day virus, or even a random security camera watching the screen of your smarthphone. I am currently creating many templates. I got the idea that it would be nice if you could share it with other Enpass users. Is there a way to export or import the templates? Then everyone could publish their templates here in the forum and make them available to others. This would create a large template database for the Enpass community. It would also be great if you could create templates from existing entries. I have taken over a lot of entries from 1Password. I would like to make a template out of such an entry - of course without content.

I have to change the password of my ownlcoud every 3 month. This means i have to remove the whole sync account and add it again. Would it be possible to just ask the user to re-enter their passwords if the auth fails? Regards, Xarlatan

Having imported some time ago, tags are there on some of my entries, but I don't use them any more - preferring to just use folders and search. As I have over 600 entries, checking and editing these one by one will take much too long. As you have the ability to Add Tags to the selected items, it would be great to also have the ability to DELETE ALL TAGS from the selected range. Ideal in my case, but also if reorganising a set of entries where you could then first delete all tags and then add the new tags to the selection top replace them.

Hello everyone. Thank you for Enpass, it is an excellent password manager! I noticed on Enpass (6.3.0) that I'm unable to save passwords on both Chrome manager and Enpass. The browser extension is taking control of Chrome's manager and I would really like to be able to store passwords on both. Is it Chrome's policy or could you make that happen? Thank you.

Some services I use require to add credit cards number in four individual segments e.g. 1111 2222 3333 4444 Each segment is an input box, so coping the entire CC number from Enpass doesn't work. I have to manually enter the numbers in each box. It would be great if Enpass had a way to copy each of these segments, so we can paste them in the form. Thanks

Hello, I would really like to have some controls of auto backup on macOS Enpass app (I have version 6.3.3). I have (accidentally) discovered, that it stores up to 60 backups created daily - which seems kind of excessive. Principally, auto backup is convenient thing and I'd like to use it. But 60 backups are too many... With Time Machine, which already makes every 2 hours snapshot of my whole system I really do not need too old backups. I can always extract them from Time Machine. I would prefer to have some control over frequency and number of backups kept - so I can customize this. Also, I question default choices made - 60 backups kept? Daily backups made…
