    Hey @DodgyBlater and @probate,

Congrats on receiving your new phone.

Yes. Enpass support for the new Google BiometricPrompt API on Pixel 4 devices is presently in Beta phase. Please subscribe to Enpass beta program on Android and share your feedback.

    Cheers:)

Hey @Kashish ! Thanks for the update, but could you please implement the "implicit confirmation" as others mentioned it already? :) You can do that with API lvl 29 (Android 10) as you can see here:

  2. Hi,

with the Pixel 4 and some other phones we get phones without any fingerprint sensors, just Face Unlock (but not just camera based, it's similar to Face ID on the iPhone with IR). For an app to support that you have to use the BiometricPrompt API, and the Enpass on Android implementation looks (for my eyes) like it's using it for me (as it's this little window on the bottom on my Pixel 2 and looks exactly the same as with other apps using the better API) .. but when I asked the support by email they said it doesn't, so what API is it then?

LastPass announced to switch to the BiometricPrompt API and with it to support Face ID on the Pixel 4, I'd really like to know how it will be with Enpass.

And as far as I know with Android API Target 10 required for the Play Store in a few months you would need to use it anyways, so I'm wondering if it isn't actually supported already and if not, will you switch to the better API soon?

    Hi All,

We have released another beta update v6.0.8.212 which will fix the high CPU usage and other critical issues. Please install this update and let me know if you still encounter any problem. The details are here:

    Waiting for your valuable feedback.

    Cheers!

    Hey @Vikram Dabas !
First of all: Nice update, the CPU usage is much better now and the new keyboard shortcut is awesome! It's also nice, that I can use the same extension for windows/linux/mac and chrome os, as the chrome sync often "forced" you to get both on every device, and not just the one needed for your specific device.

Now there are only 3 "bigger" things for me left:

    1. The notification that just doesn't go away, as mentioned earlier. As a workaround I just disabled notifications for Enpass in the Android settings, and it seams my Enpass is still working as it should, but still.. please remove that, it's just annoying and actually bothers me more than I thought at first, as I constantly check my notifications thanks to it.

    2. Better keyboard support. Also something that bothers me much more than I thought at first, especially because my Chromebook has no touchscreen! The keyboard shortcut is nice, but it doesn't really help you when you need to use your mouse again to select something. At least let me use my arrow keys and my enter key to auto fill. The Play Store (and other apps) implemented better keyboard support, so it should be possible.
Oh and PLEASE PLEASE! let me just open Enpass and start typing to trigger the search! I love this in the Play Store, and I miss it every time in Enpass. I always need to manually click on the search icon to start the search.. (Enpass itself, not the chrome ad-on)

    3. When it's "time" for Enpass to lock itself it gets in focus again, so let's say after 5 min I suddenly get the Enpass window and see it getting locked.. not really nice if you are in the middle of writing a doc or so and suddenly you see the Enpass window :D Ofc I can't say if it would be even possible to fix this, maybe it's a limitation of the Android implementation in Chrome OS but if it's possible.. please fix it :)

.. but that's it.. of course there are other small things here and there (sometimes when I open Enpass and I need to type in my password I first need to "click" on the password field.. it's not always the case, but sometimes.. don't know why), but with those 3 things it would be good enough for me! :)

.. but just a question: My Chromebook has no fingerprint sensor, but there are Chromebooks coming with such a sensor (like the new Acers and the current Google Pixel Slate).. do you (or someone else) know if the fingerprint sensor is supported by Enpass on Chrome OS? And if not, would it be even possible to support it?

    Hi @CaptainBDSC @djohannes

Thanks for taking the time to let us know about this. It is undoubtedly an issue out of the norm that we'd like to address ASAP. It has already been shared with the QA team, and they are currently investigating it. I will be in touch as soon as I get an update from them.

Till then I appreciate your patience and co-operation.

Hey Vikram, I noticed that there is a new beta for the extension and that it now works with the PC version and the Chromebook (Android/Play Store) App, which is awesome! Finally I don't need two enpass extensions (as Chrome is always syncing them), but when I right click the extension and click on "Options" I only get the keyboard shortcut option on the PC, not on my chromebook.. why? And I still can't use my arrow keys to navigate in the extension itself on chromebook, but still.. nice update! : )

    Hi Team,

I am seeing Enpass Extension or Service on my Chromebook peg my CPU very hard. I am guessing the task manager shows percentage of CPU load per task. It shows Enpass hitting my CPU between 250-350%? When it is like that my estimated battery life goes down to 2hrs from a full charge, and once I kill the task my battery life goes up to 5-6hrs. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, same results, though not right away. Overnight the behavior came back.

Oh god, I'm not the only one! I was wondering why my fan is so loud since some days, now I realised that it's Enpass and I wanted to report it here right now, and saw your comment! Especially when I wake up my Chromebook from suspend, my fan is spinning at 100% for ever, because Enpass is using 100% of the CPU for ever, if I don't reboot my Chromebook! And the Chromebook is getting really really hot!

@Vikram Dabas Please fix this fast, the other bugs are just small ones but this one hurts the battery very hard and it's also not great to have my fan's spinning at 100% for ever after suspend..

Edit: I noticed that after I switched off my WIFI the enpass app was instant at 100% and I needed to force close it.

    Hi @djohannes

Many thanks for your valuable feedback. All the issues have been noted and shared with the QA for further investigation.

I appreciate your patience while we work through this.

One more feedback: Sometimes, when I wake up my chromebook I get a connection error website from the enpass extension, there I can just wait a few sec longer and it automatically disappears or I click on connect. Maybe you could let the extension wait a few sec longer before opening this error page? It's currently annoying, at basically every restart of my chromebook I get this error page for 3-4 sec..

Okay, I feel ridiculous asking this. But how do you get Enpass beta for Chrome OS? I am new to Chrome OS...

You need to opt in to the Android Beta of Enpass. Just go to the Enpass Page in the Play Store, there you can find a button to opt in.

Now download Enpass via the Play Store on your Chromebook and the Beta extension linked above and enjoy Enpass!

Is it normal that there is always a notification "Enpass Autofill Service, click here to connect"? Bit annoying to always have this 1 in my taskbar :)

    And another 2 bug:

    1. When I click on the cards tab there is one card "behind" the tabs on the bottom, but it's the last one and the extension does not allow me to scroll down to show it entirely:

    image.png.2786638b544198f6977ec399e068b637.png

You can see that it's not fully visible, but I can't scroll down to see the complete card! :)

    2. When the "safe" is getting locked after a minute or so the extension is getting visible again, which is a bit annoying. (Only happens when you unchecked "lock on leaving")

And I've found a bug if you want to say so: When I start my chromebook and click on the extension to autofill, I'm asked for the password and when I typed it in, I get the list with all my entries and not just the entries for this specific website.. I need to close and open the extension again to finally only see the entries for this specific website! :)

Hey! Finally the chromebook extension, thank you so much, but there is one problem I have with it: I can't set a shortcut to autofill automatically.. With the "default" enpass chrome extension I can set an own shortcut and enable "autofill without showing the enpass assistant" - and bam, I only need to press my shortcut to autofill.

And I can't use the arrow keys to go to an entry (to click enter to autofill it).. Right now with a chromebook without touch, it's a bit annoying :)

    Hi all!

Sorry for being quite for a long time. I really appreciate your patience and love for Enpass.

Finally, the audited Enpass 6 is here as promised. https://www.enpass.io/introducing-enpass-6-crafted-with-the-spirit-of-himalayas/

Here you can find the security audit report. Soon we will cover the more platforms.

    Cheers!

Did you read your Audit? "It is important to note that because of the time constrains naturally involved during a Penetration Test exercise this project should not be considered a full security audit of the Enpass apps and their API in scope, nor should it be thought of as a compromise it"

"The audience of this report should be aware that a malicious actor, capable of committing extended time and with enough resources may find new attack vectors or vulnerabilities that could allow it to eventually compromise the security of the Enpass apps and their API in scope"

    Hey guys,

Sorry for the trouble you are going through.

There was some technical issue from our end which we have fixed and published on the Store. It will be available soon so I request you to try purchasing the app again and share your findings.

    Thanks!

It works but why do you want Windows Users to pay for stuff Mac and Linux users get for free? On Linux I get it there is no one store for all where you could get the money from, but Mac? You know the Mac Appstore?

  14. Hi,

I am on linux with chrome and I have the dark mode activated (my gnome desktop is set to dark, and gnome uses system design). With that dark mode the enpass6 icon is hardly visible, because it isn't optimized for that, but that optimization is also possible for chrome extensions, e.g. my google keep extension uses a different theme when dark mode is on.

Also the enpass extension for firefox is looking better with dark mode on, so that optimization needs to come to the chrome extension too, please :)

  15. With the old Enpass I couldn't use the Google Drive sync anymore because I activated Google's Advanced Account Protection Program so third parties can't see my storage.

Now with Enpass 6 the Google Drive sync is working without any problem, only that I can't see an Enpass Folder in my drive anymore.

How exactly is this new Enpass 6 syncing working? Is it like with e.g. whatsapp where you use the "appDataFolder" so you do not need the permission to see all my data? If this is the case how can I delete Enpass files from my google drive if I can't see the folder anymore?

But thank you for doing this in a "Google's Advanced Account Protection"-friendly way! I was stuck to dropbox for the sync, now it's back on my protected google drive :) - And I think many of the Advanced Protection users will also use a password manager :)

  16. I don't know if there is any option for this, I didn't found any.

I really love windows hello for the app and especially for the browser extension, but this "one extra mouse click" to activate windows hello is annoying.

I usually have set a shortcut for enpass in the browser and for the app. Now I can press the shortcut and start typing in my password or PIN but I can't instantly use my Fingerprint to unlock.

I need to use my mouse to click on the hello icon to start the process and this really sucks.

If it's not possible to do this with an additional interaction, why no "key" for that or why not something like: When you didn't type any char / number but you are pressing "enter" it starts windows hello?

If it is possible but you think it can annoy some people, why don't do this as an option for users who wants that?

And btw on my PC with a TPM chip I still need to type my password after reboot, this isn't the case with the UWP app. Is this planned too?

Thats my feedback for windows hello, thanks for that nice feature and for enpass 6 general.
