  1. I'm a bit confused after reading Enpass for Windows: Which version should I use? There are 3 versions for windows, 2 of those are free (traditional and bridged). You want to keep the traditional version for windows 7 users and further developing focus will be for the bridged app. This would make me think that the Bridged app stays free like it is now. But then you state the paid UWP app will be gone with the next major release and be replaced by the bridged version, that'll have the combined functions of traditional and UWP. So, does this mean the final bridged version won't count as a free desktop variant? Or is there some schematic that only tablet/phone users have to pay for it, while desktop users can use the final bridged from the microsoft store for free? (I don't have enough knowledge about the Universal Windows Platform)
  2. Hi, 1. Is the Backup File from the Desktop version identical to the Bridge version? 2. Can you import a Bridge App Backup into the Desktop version without issues? Just wanting to get an idea of the flexibility for moving between versions. Thank you!
  3. Hopefully a simple request... on desktop (Mac in my case... maybe others are different) when a user clicks on a copy-to-clipboard button in the interface, there should be some type of animation or user feedback to indicate that the copy-to-clipboard happened. (I suggest an immediate background highlight (perhaps blue) that fades over about 1 second back to transparent.) As it is now, there is a highlight on the button only while the mouse is held down. If you just click on the button, 99% of the time it's so fast that you don't see any highlight / feedback at all. If the window isn't the frontmost window (maybe it's off to the side), the first click on the button (or anywhere) actually doesn't do anything, it just brings the window to the front. That combined with the occasional user error (missed clicking the button... off to the side or something) combines to make a somewhat frustrating experience. In essence, there's no feedback as to whether something was copied or not... until you go to paste and submit and... whoops! that wasn't the right password, or whoops! instead of pasting in that piece of data you just pasted in 5 paragraphs of text that you copied earlier. Out of necessity in real-world use I have developed the habit of clicking the copy button a jillion times like a rabbit in heat "just to be sure" that what I want copied is actually getting into the clipboard... and I find it frustrating and annoying every time. And ... speaking of first click just bringing the window to the front... maybe, if possible, it would be good to allow click-through for those buttons so that you don't have to bring the window to the front first just to copy something to the clipboard. I know I would love that.

  7. Hi All, We have just rolled out a second Beta version of Enpass 5.4.0 for Traditional Windows. This Beta comes with following fixes: Syncing with WebDAV: Enpass will now show a sync warning message to those users who have configured their WebDAV/ownCloud server using a self-signed certificate, and they have to disconnect and set up sync again. Optimized CPU usage: An issue where some users reported that enabling sync with WebDAV was consuming high CPU comparatively has been fixed. Minor UI improvements: Fixed a UI issue where adding/moving items (more than 99) from one folder to another, doesn't show the complete count. Sync error 120: Fixed an issue of Error -120 in cloud sync, where Enpass shows the sync error when the system comes from sleep. Fixed an error 403 in Enpass extension while communicating with new Opera 42: Recently Opera has changed its signing certificate in ver 42 due to which Enpass fails to verify the code signature and throws error 403. 8. Hi all, We have just rolled out Enpass Beta v5.4.0 for Linux. It comes with some cool and most demanding feature like Quick PIN unlock, Auto backups and much more. Check out the complete changelog here: What's New Quick PIN support: Gone are the days when you had to enter the master password at every unlock of App. With this release, you can now set an alphanumeric PIN to quickly unlock Enpass if the App is already running in background, otherwise master password will be required. Autobackups: Now Enpass can take backup of your data automatically locally in your device. By default, this feature would be enabled, which you can turn off afterwards. CSV/DSV Import: If you’re having your passwords and login details in CSV or any other delimiter separated file, you can now import them in Enpass using the all new custom CSV/DSV data importer. To use it in efficient way, you need to have a look at this help video. zxcvbn will show strength of your passwords: We have empowered the password strength indicator with Dropbox zxcvbn to check you from choosing weak passwords. Password strength analysis has become more efficient now. Selective field sharing: Sharing has gone better with an option to choose the fields to be shared rather than whole item. So now you can share your bank details with anyone by removing login and other sensitive details. Cool, huh! Subset of password: It lets you see certain characters in password specified by position, for example "1st, 3rd, next-to-last, last" by just mentioning their position in specified format. Better way to organize items: You can now create sub-folders by right clicking on parent folder in sidebar with an additional feature to move the subfolders among parent folders by ‘drag n drop’. We have also improved the drag ’n’ drop behavior for moving items between categories and folders where now you also get the option of copying them (instead of moving only) by pressing and holding the ‘option’ key. Improvements Setting up shortcut for autofilling: We have changed the way you used to setup the shortcut key for autofilling in browsers. Now instead of defining it in main Enpass App, you have to configure it in your browser extensions independently. Fixes Launching of wrong URL from Helper: There was an issue with the items having multiple URLs, where, when a user tried to launch the second URL from Helper window (as one displayed on clicking extension icon), the first URL was always launched. Fixed now. Known Issues This Beta version will work on those linux systems having 4.9 or later versions of libstdc++6. We are working on it and will fix it in next release. Enpass app will crash, if Screen Reader is enabled from Universal Access under system settings. Installation instructions Before installing beta, please make sure that the existing Enpass app is completely closed (even from System tray). The beta update will overwrite existing Enpass app. The complete installation instructions are mentioned here. So what are you waiting for, grab the beta version. Cheers!

  11. It would be nice to have a PIN on the Desktop version, and the Desktop browser extensions (for me Safari and Chrome)... Currently there is no shorter option than to type the master password, every time over and over again. I do this at least 10 to 20 times a day... Workflow might be define a PIN. When PIN is entered wrong 3 times, you have to type the master password.

  13. Hi there, I did not see this topic but maybe I'm wrong don't hesitate to tell me if it is duplicate. I wanted to know if there is in the roadmap the autofill feature (already via a shortcut). Also wanted to know if you plan to make something like Dashlane or other password manager (a icon in the form in order to choose what to fill) ? Thanks, Thomas.

  15. New user here. I am starting to use Enpass and when my Lastpass Premium subscription is going to expire I might buy mobile apps too. On desktop I run Fedora23. I have a couple of questions. 1. Where is the database file located? I could not find in the folder where I have installed Enpass. 2. Which is the command invoked by Enpass when backing up? I would like to set a cronjob to have it done automatically. Thank you
