evillama Posted December 23, 2016 Report Posted December 23, 2016 Really like the ability to RE-login to Enpass using Windows Hello once it's running in the background, but will we eventually have the ability to launch Enpass with Windows Hello and not have to enter our Master Passwords?
Guest Vikram Dabas Posted December 28, 2016 Report Posted December 28, 2016 Hi @evillama Enpass already has the Full-time Windows Hello support. For more details check out: https://www.enpass.io/blog/password-manager-with-windows-hello-support/ Please note that not all devices support Full time Windows Hello unlocking. We use full-time hello only when encryption keys are generated on Hardware TPM.
evillama Posted December 28, 2016 Author Report Posted December 28, 2016 Thanks much. Just got a new Surface 4 and discovered the launch-unlocking capability. I guess the Lumia 950 doesn't have Hardware TPM...
Eric J Posted February 14, 2017 Report Posted February 14, 2017 I have a ThinkPad 460s which has hardware TPM, but Enpass (5.2.4, installed from the Windows Store) only lets me use Windows Hello unlocking once the application is running and a master password has been entered.
Eric J Posted February 16, 2017 Report Posted February 16, 2017 After re-installing the app (and re-importing the data), I can unlock the app with a fingerprint (and without ever having to enter the master password). 1
