Autofill Problems with certain pages

Hi @lesefreudig & @Leonid Feldman,

Sorry for the inconvenience caused to you.

Please share the following details so that we can investigate where the problem could be.

  • On which device (along with OS version) are you using Enpass?
  • Which Enpass and Enpass extension version are you using?
  • Which browser are you using?
  • Also, let us know, which part of Autofill is not working. Whether username/password fields are not getting filled or It is not getting auto submitted after filing the login fields?

Okay, here the information:

- Windows 10

- Enpass 6.4.1

- Firefox 75.0

- Extension: 6.4.0

- At the Moment the passwort autofill doesnt work; last week was the username the probleme.

Thanks for the patience.

We would like to share that the issue has been reproduced by the QA team. Now our Dev team is looking into this issue to resolve and hopefully, a fix will be available in the future update.

The Financial Times webpage. Enpass won't put in my email address. 

I've previously reported this to your team. They said they had duplicated the problem. They said they would like it. But no word yet. It's been a while...

Still not working. Do you think you fixed it (and I still have a unique problem)? Or have you not gotten to it yet?

Thanks for getting in touch! We're on the brink of releasing a Beta version for desktops with improved auto-fill functionality across all sites. The beta will tentatively release within a week or two. 
Meanwhile, an updated stable version of Enpass is available on the iOS and Android stores. If you happen to use Enpass on mobile, you can try auto-filling the login and share your feedback, which we would absorb before the Beta release of desktops.

EnpassPortable_6.4.0, Plugin for Edge 6.4.0, Edge 85.0.564.36. I have this on Firefox and Chrome too. I only use Defender on Windows 10. Any you know all have this issues. Automatic Autofill is a big issues on Enpass after weeks.

Hi @Scoty,

Thanks for sharing the details.

First, make sure you have correctly installed the extension. Disable and re-enable the autofill option in Enpass Portable settings and try auto-filling again. Also, do you have any other instance of Enpass installation along with Enpass Portable - like Enpass from Microsoft Store etc.?

You could also check our user manual for help on auto-fill.

Thanks for the patience.

Auto-fill through Enpass Browser extension works by manually selecting and double-clicked on the item with which you want to auto-fill as this gives better control if you have multiple items there (and you can peep into there details).

However, You can enable "Auto-fill details without showing Enpass Assistant" in Enpass browser settings. Enable this setting to allow Enpass to auto-fill the details using the keyboard shortcut without showing Enpass Assistant. To know how to setup/configure Keyboard shortcut please refer this link.

NOTE: Enpass auto-fill the details without showing Enpass Assistant if the particular domain item save in Enpass is only one. For example, in Enpass if the only one Facebook item is saved then you try to auto-fill via keyboard shortcut then it auto-fill without showing assistant. If you have two Facebook item save in Enpass then it only open the Enpass Assistant and you have to manually select and double click on the item to auto-fill.
