Abhishek Dewan Posted May 18, 2022 Report Posted May 18, 2022 Hi @Chris I will gladly assist you with your concern. Please share the below details with me and I'll have this checked for you - The version of the Enpass app you are using on your Windows 11 device. Could you also share the crash report, which is automatically created after the crash? Please include the link to this forum in the comment section of the report so we know the crash report is linked to this forum.
fherpertz Posted May 19, 2022 Report Posted May 19, 2022 Hey, I have the same error but I am on windows 10. I can open the app and unock it but when I wait a few seconds and try to register or do anything else the app just vanishes and it is gone. It does not write a crash report or anything it just is gone. The following I get from the windows event manager: Protokollname: Application Quelle: Application Error Datum: 19.05.2022 13:19:13 Ereignis-ID: 1000 Aufgabenkategorie:(100) Ebene: Fehler Schlüsselwörter:Klassisch Benutzer: Nicht zutreffend Computer: ADV112 Beschreibung: Name der fehlerhaften Anwendung: Enpass.exe, Version: 6.8.1.0, Zeitstempel: 0x627fc1a5 Name des fehlerhaften Moduls: ucrtbase.dll, Version: 10.0.19041.789, Zeitstempel: 0x82dc99a2 Ausnahmecode: 0xc0000409 Fehleroffset: 0x0009d132 ID des fehlerhaften Prozesses: 0x41f4 Startzeit der fehlerhaften Anwendung: 0x01d86b722f3af05a Pfad der fehlerhaften Anwendung: C:\Program Files (x86)\Enpass\Enpass.exe Pfad des fehlerhaften Moduls: C:\Windows\System32\ucrtbase.dll Berichtskennung: d83f32a9-50ed-4444-890e-a5b57f366380 Vollständiger Name des fehlerhaften Pakets: Anwendungs-ID, die relativ zum fehlerhaften Paket ist: Ereignis-XML: <Event xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/win/2004/08/events/event"> <System> <Provider Name="Application Error" /> <EventID Qualifiers="0">1000</EventID> <Version>0</Version> <Level>2</Level> <Task>100</Task> <Opcode>0</Opcode> <Keywords>0x80000000000000</Keywords> <TimeCreated SystemTime="2022-05-19T11:19:13.9817262Z" /> <EventRecordID>9815</EventRecordID> <Correlation /> <Execution ProcessID="0" ThreadID="0" /> <Channel>Application</Channel> <Computer>ADV112</Computer> <Security /> </System> <EventData> <Data>Enpass.exe</Data> <Data>6.8.1.0</Data> <Data>627fc1a5</Data> <Data>ucrtbase.dll</Data> <Data>10.0.19041.789</Data> <Data>82dc99a2</Data> <Data>c0000409</Data> <Data>0009d132</Data> <Data>41f4</Data> <Data>01d86b722f3af05a</Data> <Data>C:\Program Files (x86)\Enpass\Enpass.exe</Data> <Data>C:\Windows\System32\ucrtbase.dll</Data> <Data>d83f32a9-50ed-4444-890e-a5b57f366380</Data> <Data> </Data> <Data> </Data> </EventData> </Event> My system is German so I hope you can still gather the corresponding information from the excerpt. Updating the system and the drivers did nothing for this issue - also repairing the c++ didn't change a thing (sadly).
Maja Posted May 19, 2022 Report Posted May 19, 2022 Same here. Using Windows 11 (latest patches) and latest Enpass Version, the app crashes several times a day for me.
Abhishek Dewan Posted May 19, 2022 Report Posted May 19, 2022 Hi @all Enpass greatly appreciates your patience while we worked on fixing the bug. We have released Enpass beta website version for Windows (ver 6.8.1), which addresses the crash issue for Windows. Please try out the beta version from here and share your findings with us. 1
fherpertz Posted June 21, 2022 Report Posted June 21, 2022 Hey, on windows 10 this error still persists even with the beta version. I still get the following errors: - <Event xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/win/2004/08/events/event"> - <System> <Provider Name="Application Error" /> <EventID Qualifiers="0">1000</EventID> <Version>0</Version> <Level>2</Level> <Task>100</Task> <Opcode>0</Opcode> <Keywords>0x80000000000000</Keywords> <TimeCreated SystemTime="2022-06-21T08:40:57.8020684Z" /> <EventRecordID>13885</EventRecordID> <Correlation /> <Execution ProcessID="0" ThreadID="0" /> <Channel>Application</Channel> <Computer>ADV112</Computer> <Security /> </System> - <EventData> <Data>Enpass.exe</Data> <Data>6.8.1.0</Data> <Data>62839b0c</Data> <Data>ucrtbase.dll</Data> <Data>10.0.19041.789</Data> <Data>82dc99a2</Data> <Data>c0000409</Data> <Data>0009d132</Data> <Data>6328</Data> <Data>01d8854a9a6bfa9c</Data> <Data>C:\Program Files (x86)\Enpass\Enpass.exe</Data> <Data>C:\Windows\System32\ucrtbase.dll</Data> <Data>1efb76a3-36d9-416b-9a56-cdf1a37ca435</Data> <Data /> <Data /> </EventData> </Event> I tried installing the beta but this does not seem to change anything. I will now switch to the portable version as this won't work for me at all at the moment. Other devices work fine but my windows 10 notebook is not able to launch enpass. 1
Abhishek Dewan Posted July 7, 2022 Report Posted July 7, 2022 Hi @fherpertz We have recently updated our application. Kindly update your Enpass app to the latest version 6.8.2 and share your findings with us.
Andy Lopez Posted August 2, 2022 Report Posted August 2, 2022 I've just downloaded the latest available version from the web, but my windows 10 notebook cannot handle it: 2 seconds after I type my password, the app vanishes. It works fine in my windows 10 desktop.
Abhishek Dewan Posted August 2, 2022 Report Posted August 2, 2022 Hi @Andy Lopez Welcome to the Enpass Forums. For troubleshooting purposes, please create a manual backup/set up synchronization on your device and then reinstall the app. If the issue persists, please share the below details with me and I’ll have this investigated for you - The version of the Enpass app you are using on your device. The cloud server you are using to synchronize your data. Try disabling the cloud server once and check if the app is still crashing? A screenshot of any error occurring would be helpful. On your Windows device, Enpass app should be generating a crash report when it closes. Kindly copy the full report and share it with me.
