Kartoffel Posted June 5, 2022 Report Posted June 5, 2022 Hi, how can I restore or at least view a single item from a vault-backup? I accidentally overwrote a password of one item. It was not deleted, so I cant' find it in the recycle bin. And I don#t want to restore the whole database
Manish Chokwal Posted June 6, 2022 Report Posted June 6, 2022 Hi @Kartoffel, Welcome to the Enpass Community Forums. Presently, there is no option to restore or view a single item from a vault backup, so you must restore the entire database. Alternatively, you may want to try installing another Enpass version, a website version if you are using an Enpass store version, or vice versa. Now restore the data to see that item's information.
Kartoffel Posted June 6, 2022 Author Report Posted June 6, 2022 Hi Manish, thanks for your reply. But couldn't I just create another vault and import the backup there? Or will this mix up the entries?
Manish Chokwal Posted June 6, 2022 Report Posted June 6, 2022 Hi @Kartoffel, Keeping things simple and preventing any confusion in the vault creation or data, I recommended installing a different Enpass version. Otherwise, you could create another vault and restore the data there.
Jameswalter Posted March 22, 2023 Report Posted March 22, 2023 Make a new backup of the current Vault. Restore the previous backup. In Vault Explorer, perform a "Get Latest Version" to save a copy of the deleted file(s) to your local workspace. Restore the current Vault backup created in Step 1. Check in the copied files to the Vault.
