andlinwinuser Posted December 28, 2018 Report Posted December 28, 2018 Dear Enpass Team Thanks for the 6.0 update! I just upgraded from 5.6 to 6.0 using the Microsoft Store. I can't find an option/setting to add a keyfile. I tried "Settings -> Security -> Change Master Password" but there was no option to add a keyfile during that process. How can a add a keyfile to an existing vault? Thanks!
Sunil Kumar Posted December 28, 2018 Report Posted December 28, 2018 Hi @andlinwinuser, Please go to Change password page and generate and add keyfile from advance section. 1
Arthur Rump Posted December 28, 2018 Report Posted December 28, 2018 I have a related question: how can I change the Master Password of a vault that does have a keyfile? The "Change Master Password" dialog does not have an option to add a keyfile when you are asked for the old Master Password.
Vinod Kumar Posted December 28, 2018 Report Posted December 28, 2018 @Arthur Rump Enpass is already unlocked at this point and have access to both master password and keyfile. So, Master password is sufficient to authorize a change password request.
Arthur Rump Posted December 29, 2018 Report Posted December 29, 2018 Ah, it was not the primary vault and I tried to use the vault password instead of the master password. Makes sense that it didn't work. Thanks!
Harry Posted January 15, 2019 Report Posted January 15, 2019 (edited) I Started Working without a keyfile. How can I take this up? Edited January 15, 2019 by Harry
Vinod Kumar Posted January 16, 2019 Report Posted January 16, 2019 Hi @Harry, Goto Settings->Vaults->Primary->Change password and choose Add KeyFile from Advanced section as shown in screen shot in previous reply. Thanks.
