caspergsht42 Posted October 10, 2023 Report Posted October 10, 2023 Hi, I got a lifetime license which I am quite happy with. Now, it looks like you have stopped offering standard licenses and only offer a subscription (like 1p and which was the reason why I stopped using 1p). What is the limitation of the standard license and when do you expect to stop supporting the standard license in enPass? Thanks.
Abhishek Dewan Posted October 11, 2023 Report Posted October 11, 2023 Hi @caspergsht42 Along with the subscription licenses, we still offer One-Time Premium licenses as well! Kindly refer to this link to know more about the different licenses we offer.
caspergsht42 Posted October 12, 2023 Author Report Posted October 12, 2023 Hi @Abhishek Dewan, But what is the difference to the Lifetime Subscription I already have, and what is there to stop you from doing the same in a couple of years ? I would rather pay for a normal license, say 45$ and then 35$ for upgrades - and then upgrade when there is a new version (which have something I need). The close 100$ for a life time license which last for ~4 years is not really that great. 1
Abhishek Dewan Posted October 12, 2023 Report Posted October 12, 2023 Hi @caspergsht42 We certainly understand your disappointment in this matter and also appreciate your loyalty to Enpass, thank you for being with us for so long, and we sincerely hope that you continue to stay with us. We have worked diligently over the years to make Enpass the best Offline Password Manager. In order to enhance the security and services we offer and provide best in class support to our users, we introduced features like Breach monitoring and 2FA identification. Kindly refer to the following link to learn more about it.
caspergsht42 Posted October 13, 2023 Author Report Posted October 13, 2023 Hi @Abhishek Dewan, Thank you for that link. As I said if you need money (which you obviously do) then offer a full version for x $ then provide free updates for that version, and offer an update for y $ to the next version. In the old days of software a new version was released every about 18 months. Most people do not mind to pay for updates, the subscriptions makes people look for other vendors, me included.
raalapas Posted March 3, 2024 Report Posted March 3, 2024 (edited) Hey, I am still trying to understand because I also have lifetime plan. Does it mean that lifetime plan doesn't get future upgrades or only few years. While buying what I thought about lifetime was it would be as similar as premium monthly or yearly plan except I pay only once. Edited March 3, 2024 by raalapas
Amandeep Kumar Posted March 5, 2024 Report Posted March 5, 2024 I totally understand your concern. Let me clarify: if you have a one-time premium lifetime plan, you'll continue to receive all future upgrades and updates for Enpass without any additional cost. This lifetime plan ensures that you get access to all features and benefits, just like users with the premium monthly or yearly plan. So, you won't miss out on anything, and you'll enjoy the full functionality of Enpass for as long as you use it.

I doubt that will be the case forever, like you screwd us Pro Lifetime users over when you made the change. Not even a possibility to upgrade into the Premium Lifetime, just a eat or die situation. Very poorly handled. Edited March 5, 2024 by AnakinCaesar 1 1

I would be happy with that... now I just paid €75 for something that is just slightly better. This is insane. Very poorly handled indeed.
enavalaki Posted September 3 Report Posted September 3 Hello. I'm writing here to find out how I can switch from my current fixed 1-year subscription package to a lifetime package (of course, only if I can buy it at a discounted price, because there is currently only a 10% discount). IF I pay for the full package, how can I transfer the subscription change to my computer?
Tarun Singh Rawat Posted September 4 Report Posted September 4 You can purchase the One-Time (Lifetime) Plan through the Enpass mobile app (available on both iOS and Android) or directly on the Enpass website at https://www.enpass.io/pricing/. The best available discount will always be updated there. If you purchase the Lifetime Plan with the same email address you used for your current subscription, you can cancel the yearly plan to prevent it from auto-renewing. Your account will then switch to the lifetime license, which will automatically sync across all your devices.

If the approach taken with the Pro (Lifetime package) is any indication, it is likely that the company will replicate the original app, rebrand the cloned version, and introduce a few additional menu options. Following this, they may phase out the originally purchased lifetime version in favor of promoting whatever new iteration or version they choose to release next. Then charge you again if you want to have the new best version or version that's actually received modern day updates in line with every other popular password manager.

So this is worth nothing in this world? 😳 My problem is not that if they offer a higher service, you have to pay for it again after a lifetime subscription, but that they charge disproportionately more.
