heldausberlin Posted August 6, 2019 Report Posted August 6, 2019 (edited) I prefer to hide sensitive by default. But always having to click on the "show" button is annoying. Could you please add a feature like showing sensitive while pressing the alt key? That would be fine! Thanks. Edited August 6, 2019 by heldausberlin
Pratyush Sharma Posted August 9, 2019 Report Posted August 9, 2019 Hi @heldausberlin Thanks for your suggestion. I have noted it down and forwarded to the concern desk for further consideration. Thanks for your co-operation.
Marco Damaceno Posted May 14, 2022 Report Posted May 14, 2022 I have had a nuisance with this feature because I use ALT + TAB combination a lot to switch windows. While I have Enpass focused and it is unlocked using this combination keys, the program reveals the password. Imagine if I have someone behind me looking at my monitor and Enpass reveals my password because I pressed a simple ALT+TAB combination. Is there a way to disable this feature?
Manish Chokwal Posted May 17, 2022 Report Posted May 17, 2022 Hi @Marco Damaceno, Thank you for reporting the presence of this issue. I would like to share that we are already aware of this bug and working on fixing it. In the meantime, we highly appreciate your patience with us. SI-2803
Sbu Posted June 24, 2022 Report Posted June 24, 2022 I have the exact same issue as Marco. Pressing the Alt key should not show passwords by default. I am frankly a bit surprised that a password manager would make displaying passwords such an easy action: shouldn't it be "Security first" ? It's perfectly fine if some users are ok with it and can make it possible via an opt-in setting though. But many people use Alt + Tab to switch between applications, so some corresponding tests should be part of the tests performed on Enpass when adding new features. By the way, this issue does not occur on Windows 10, only on Ubuntu as far as I know.
Manish Chokwal Posted June 27, 2022 Report Posted June 27, 2022 Hi @all. Thank you for being patient with us. We have recently released Enpass beta version 6.8.2 for Windows which has fixed this issue. Kindly try that and share your findings. You can download the Enpass beta from here.
akshay Posted July 21, 2022 Report Posted July 21, 2022 I am on the version 6.8.2. The issue exists on macOS 12.4. Is there a setting that needs to be enabled/disabled to prevent this from happening?
Manish Chokwal Posted July 21, 2022 Report Posted July 21, 2022 Hi @akshay, The Alt+Tab shortcut for displaying passwords has been rolled back only on Windows. However, macOS still uses it.
