Hi @BerndD @someenpassuser,

I understand your concern and apologies for the trouble.

I have noted your feedback and shared it with the team. I'll update you once the issue is fixed.

Thanks!

Hi @Pratyush Sharma

I have a problem similar to the other users ( @BerndD @someenpassuser )

After I updated my iMac (2019) to Big Sur, Enpass "jumps" into the foreground after every (re)boot / login.

I installed Chrome, but primarily use Safari. Even if no browser is open, Enpass jumps to the foreground after booting.

Strangely enough, I have the same problem with the Apple Mail app that I have defined as a hidden login object.

macOS 11.3.1

Safari 14.1

Enpass 6.6.1 (804)

Im using enpass  6.6.1 on my mbp.
Since upgrading macOS from 11.3.1 to 11.4 enpass opens and ask for the password on every wakeing up of my mbp.
Before 11.4 I never had this confusing situation.

Can anyone confirm this "problem"?

Hey @warmup

Welcome to the Enpass forum.

Could you please check the issue with the latest version of Enpass(v6.6.2) on your macOS and let us know your findings. If the problem still persists, please confirm from where you installed the Enpass(store or website). Thanks!

I updated to the new version of Enpass 6.6.2 (834) but unfortunately it didn't fix the problem. :(

macOS 11.4

Safari 14.1.1

There are quite a few users who have the problem, in the meantime there are already several threads about it.

Hm, some reboots later this problem was gone as fast as it was coming?!?

Hey @warmup & @Zero-One

We are extremely sorry for the trouble you have been facing from a long time. Please bear with us a little more while our team is still working to fix the issue.

@mrc247  Thanks for letting us know, we have merged the posts.

Hello, after 1,5 years of zero progress I changed to an alternative Password Manager. I will unfollow this thread and won't offer further assist from now. KR

Maybe a new information to this issue.

After weeks without this problem today it´s back and I found a solution. If I start Chrome before opening enpass the problem occurse.

So my workaround is to turn of autostart of chrome. But maybe you can do something in this way.

Hey @warmup

We really understand how frustrating it could be. The priority of this issue has grown low as we were simultaneously focusing on many critical issues. Now, I will prioritize it and we will try to get it resolved ASAP.

Thanks for the co-operation.

New Version 6.6.3 => Same Problem :(

I can't understand why it takes months to fix such a small problem.

When will the problem finally be fixed? the thread is now 1.5 years old ???
Personally, I've had the problem since the release of macOS 11. :(

@Garima Singh: Are there any news regarding this problem? In June you said that you will prioritize it and fix it asap...

I'm a new Enpass user and am also puzzled as to why the Enpass app isn't minimized at startup. I even tried to manually add it to my Mac login items and checked the "Hide" box, but the app always starts fullscreen.  Can you guys please fix this bug because after reading this thread, it has obviously been present for quite some time.

I have an Intel MacBook Pro 16" running Big Sur 11.4 with the Mac AppStore version of Enpass 6.6.3.

I've now been using Enpass for a few days and whilst it initially seemed to be a great replacement for 1Password, I'm really at a loss as to why this bug hasn't been fixed because it's actually quite simple to do.  This leads me to wonder if Enpass really is the right product for me if its developers aren't interested in the smaller details. 1Password received constant bug-fixes which indicated considerable attention to detail, and this is something that's very important to me when using a password management application!

@Pratyush Sharma

After updating to Version 6.7.0 (MAS) and recognising that the annoying bug is still not fixed, I kindly ask you to stop your effort to spending time to fixing this bug anymore. The next MacOS Version is shortly before to be released and after nearly a year investigating and trying to fix this issue is makes no sense anymore.

I really appreciate how countable you react on the bugreports mentioned by your customers. That’s awesome. Thank you very much for your support, I won’t mention any bugs anymore to avoid disturbing the Enpass-Team in the future.

Thanks a lot and best regards from one of your happiest customer!

I can only assume this post is meant to be sarcastic! :D I can't believe a new update has just been released but the startup bug is still there.  This isn't hard to fix, Enpass!

for me it is inexplicable why such a simple bug is not fixed quickly. The Bug has been known for 1.5 years now. It is also worrying that the moderators have not commented on the topic for weeks.
I also wonder if Enpass was the right choice for me.

In addition, I have autofill problems since the last update :(
