Custom icon mismatch in Inline Autofill Popup

Featured Replies

I'm using Vivaldi browser 5.0.2497.28 (Stable channel) (64-Bit) and Enpass extension 6.7.4. The new inline autofill feature is great, but it seems that own website icons are ignored there.

I disabled the download of website icons, so there are only default icons for websites. I collected some icons and put them into the login entries. As an example, these website icons are shown in Enpass and in the Enpass-Dock.

But in the inline autofill popup still the default icons are shown.

Is this a known bug? It would be great if you would fix it. :)

Windows 11 Pro 21H2 Build 22000.348

I'm using Website version 6.7.4 (933) of Enpass.

Yes. There is the same issue in Vivaldi browser 5.0.2497.28 (Stable channel) (64-Bit) and Microsoft Edge browser 96.0.1054.53 (Official Build) (64-Bit). I think it doesn't depend on the browser.

On any Webpage. It doesn't matter. You only have to disable the Enpass setting "Use Website Icons" and manually select icons for your entries.

These are the first 10 Website entries in my Enpass vault. I chose own icons here.

If you try to select your credentials with the help of the infield autofill, you'll never see your own chosen icons.

As you can see compared to the screenshot from my vault, none of these icons are my chosen ones. Only your default icons are shown, which your devs had set for some specific Websites like "Acronis", "ADAC" or "Adobe".

I hope I could help here. ;)

In some cases, the Inline Autofill Popup displays the incorrect icon for the Item being suggested for autofill. Illustrated screenshot attached.

This item was created in Enpass before the custom icons feature was introduced, and the icon shown in the Inline Autofill Popup is the icon I originally chose for this Item — 3 years ago. But once custom icons could be created, I copied the logo for the site and added it to the item.

I have changed to "Use Website Icon," but I get an error saying the icon isn't available from the site (the site has no favicon).

I have deleted and re-added the custom icon several times, but it doesn't help.

I have created a new custom icon and applied that, but it doesn't help.

I have created a new Item for this site, saved it first with a generic icon, then Edited the item and applied the custom icon, and the problem persists.

I have created a new Item for this site, and added the custom icon immediately, and the problem persists.

I haven't noticed this problem with any other Items in Enpass — even with other sites that have no Favicon of their own.

Since it seems to be specific to this site, FYI, the site is https://www.yourwyoblue.com/home/. I've created Enpass items with nonsense logins for this site, and the problem persists, so if it's somehow site specific, it should be reproducible without having an actual account at the site.

Hi @100 Watt Walrus

For quick troubleshooting purposes, please uninstall the Enpass Extension from your browser, and then disable the Extension from your Enpass app by going to Enpass Settings -> Browser -> Extension -> Untick Enable Browser Extensions. Now, reinstall Enpass Extension for your browser from here and under the Enpass app settings, enable the Browser Extension.

If the issue persists, then I'll require some additional information. Please share the version of the Enpass app (Website or Store), OS, browser and Enpass extension you are using and I'll get this checked for you.

Hi @100 Watt Walrus!

It sounds like it could be the same issue as I reported here:

But it should be fixed with an upcoming release of the extension, stated here:

Or do I missed something from your post, @100 Watt Walrus?

@Abhishek Dewan

Enpass Beta 6.7.4 (951) — macOS 11.6.1

Have uninstalled/reinstalled extension as instructed on my main browser (Brave), and it made no difference.

The same Enpass item has the same problem across Brave, Chrome, Firefox and Safari.

Seems to be the same kind of issue, but my case with just one Item (that I've seen so far anyway).

Dear support,

As seen in the following capture, password "qnap admin" is configured with a custom icon:

image.png.608c00b95e96ad4065f12df44bdd397f.png

image.png.bbf1e3c1376a41bc00afeddf2cb143fa.png

It works fine everywhere, but not in the inline autofill:

image.png.2525b9d993779a025eb2808dbdbf71db.png

It shows 9gag, because for testing purposes I selected 9gag (first one in the list of predefined icons) before reverting to the custom icon.

Let me know if you need anything more. It should be easy enough to reproduce, hopefully to fix as well

Enpass version: 6.8.1

Edge extension: 6.7.5

Doh... this one should be in the autofill section. I created it wrong - my bad.

Can a mod please move it to where it should?

Hey @FuN_KeY,
