Hello, the Linux installer contains unnecessary .DS_Store files, which are created by the Finder on OS X to store icon position etc. You can find them using: find ~/.local -name ".DS_Store" I think you can't prevent Finder to create these files, but you could exclude those files from your VCS so they can't accidently be commited again.

Am I being overly optimistic to try to get enpass to run on my Raspberry Pi 4 running Ubuntu 20.10? Hello world, I've finally made the jump and left Windows for Linux. I'm now using Pop! OS which more or less is Ubuntu 22.04 LTS. I'm not atechnical but definitely very new at Linux so I may be missing something basic. On Windows, I used an older version of Enpass (5.6.9) and stored the wallet on a Synology NAS running DSM 6. This NAS is only accessible on the local network/LAN and I'd like for it to stay that way. I've been able to access the NAS just fine (using SMB) however when setting up Folder Sync and selecting the folder I've always used Enpass tells me: "The location you have selected is currently inaccessible. In enpass 5 I changed the path of the enpass data. Now after the upgrade to version 6 enpass does not find the data. After start I can only create a new user. How can I solve this problem?

When using the keyboard to copy the value from the OTP field (by highlighting it with arrow keys and pressing enter to copy it), the OTP is incorrect and does not match what is displayed in the OTP text field. For example, the OTP text field for one of my accounts displayed 016406, but pressing enter copied 942757 to my clipboard.

Hello, since Qt 5.7, QGtkStyle is removed, so Qt applications don't look native anymore on the GNOME desktop. To fix this, I installed adwaita-qt5, which is a port of the default Gtk theme to Qt. I globally set QT_STYLE_OVERRIDE=adwaita so all my Qt applications use the new theme. Actually, Enpass isn't affected by this at all, as is uses bundled Qt 5.6 and uses QGtkStyle on GNOME per default. But settings QT_STYLE_OVERRIDE=adwaita causes Enpass to try to load the Adwaita theme, which fails, and then it falls back to an Windows 95-like theme which is really ugly. I have recently switched to Manjaro, and I can't seem to find a way to start it minimized to the tray. In Settings>General, I have "Open Automatically at Startup" checked (works fine). "Always run Assistant in docked mode" I have tried on and off, and I noticed no difference. I'm using Enpass 6.1.0.407 which is the latest version that works properly for me. Both 6.1.1.451 and 6.2.0.537 tend to lock up or take a very long amount of time (minutes) when searching and displaying an entry. The UI just locks up and it takes quite some time to come back. All issues are gone once I switched back to 6.1.0.407 I'm running Ubuntu Budgie 19.04 on X11. Please advise

With Enpass 5.2 the browser extension stopped working (at least on chrome, don't know about FF or others as I don't use them) What I tried so far: 1. Reinstall the extension 2. Disable / Enable the browser extension support within Enpass -> Tools -> Settings What I discovered: Looking at the background.html of the extension while browser support is enabled all I see is Uncaught Error: Malformed UTF-8 data (That's fine as I have that on windows too and the extension works just fine). Not sure what specific setting made the difference, but copying the Enpass-Desktop.conf file from my other machines, overwriting the one on the new machine resolved my issue. -- I'm using enpass on Arch Linux, running in a Virtualbox VM. On attempting to import from a backup (stored locally sourced from an exported backup from my main desktop machine), I'm prompted for a password, which I enter. It's the same password as on the desktop machines. After selecting the file (.walletx), I enter my password and am informed my data has been restored successfully. I have installed Enpass on two computers and it has been working for about three months now, however, it quit working on one of my desktops. I have uninstalled it on the computer that it failed on, and then re-installed it, with no luck. What do I need to do to get it working again?? Hello, I'm having two problems with Enpass 5.4.1 on a new Gentoo Linux / KDE Plasma 5 system. The initial installation works fine and I can sync and open my wallet without issue. However, the first problem is that I cannot get a connection to any browser. I've tried Firefox, Chromium, and Vivaldi, with the plugin installed from their respective official sites, and they all give the Enpass connection error page. Hi, I have installed enpass (version 6.0.0.230) and icon does not appear in top bar. I can see the menu (display assistant, restore, quit) if i click where is supposed to be the icon. What is curious is that enpass-beta (version 6.0.0.149) present also in the repository's provided for Ubuntu displays the icon..?! If someone has a solution... Thx.

I am in the process of adding a keyfile to my vault. In the process I accidentally selected the keyfile on my Linux machine before I had changed it to use a keyfile. I cannot find a way to clear the keyfile entry on the login screen so I am unable to open the vault, or log into the program so I can change the configuration . How can I open the vault?

I have followed the instructions in Share to share a login from my mobile app to my desktop iteration of Enpass, which is on Linux. I used a private cloud to share the login (using PSK), and got an `.enpasscard.txt` file on the other side. It is unclear to me how to follow instruction in Adding a shared item to now import the password on my desktop. What am I missing?

If I have a three fields form with for example username, password, passcode (this is consisted of a pin and time based token together) and store this login in Enpass, it gets stored, but if I go to edit the entry, there is no passcode field. However, if I click on buttom "Show Webform" it appears there and it also gets filled to the original form. So the only problem is that it can be edited, deleted, whatewer.

Hello all, I have reinstalled my system and want to reconnect enpass to my dropbox account. After pressing recover of dropbox, the program wants me to sign into dropbox in the new window. My iron browser starts but it hasn't got any adress. So no login webside opens. Even tested with OneDrive, Google Drive an iCloud. The new browser window opens but the adress of the desired webside doesn't exist. What can I do?

hello! after a reinstall of my computer (running an older enpass 6 version) i cannot import my data into the latest relase. i always get an "invalid file" message. then i tried to import the same data file into an enpass installation on windows 8 - also latest version. it accepts the master password, then i receive an "error -1" messaage. when I enter the wrong password, i receive a "wrong password" message. so it can read the file, i guess... i need my data! how can we resolve this? --- i resolved this by finding a backup file that did install without errors. seems that the location has changed and i tried to install from a 5.x backup, which di…

I have successfully installed Enpass on a newly created mint 22 system. However when I launch Enpass I do not get the Welcome Screen but rather the normal startup screen requesting the password which I haven’t set up yet. Why?

I have two vaults. All items from the second vault seems to be lost. I can still add new entries to the 2nd vault but they appear nowhere. What happened? PS: Please don't block VPNs in the board. This is a shitty idea.
