  1. Well, isn’t this disappointing. Its been over a year, no version 6. Hence, of course, no Security Audit. No idea when this will occur either. I am thinking “Sinew Software Systems Private Limited” ain’t too focussed on Enpass. Well, you had me fooled.... I thought you folk were cool.
  2. Just wanted to say thanks for Enpass. Works great and DOESN'T require me to host my usernames, passwords, credit card details, ID information etc on a developers server farm. Happy to pay what you ask for the software license. Real pleased not to have to pay a monthly subscription. Really looking forward to Enpass 6 and the subsequent 3rd party Audit too.

Can I suggest that the Free Desktop sub-forums of Mac, Windows and Linux be split into three elements Free Desktop ~ Mac , Free Desktop ~ Windows , Free Desktop ~ Linux . Doing this will allow folk interested in one type (Mac, Windows or Linux)to see that there are new items in that section without having to delve into the section, discover that the new entries are for an OS they don't use, then have to back out again. Small improvements count.
  4. Sort login items by Date Created, Date Modified, Password Strength etc Store and fill ID – the identity details of the person – Name, address, phone numbers, email address, date of birth etc etc. Allow for multiple ID’s eg: Personal ID details. Work ID details, ID with different address (such as at the weekender)
  5. Is it possible to advise an approximate time frame for this? (before end 2017, during 2018, later?) Understanding that Apple support is only part of Enpass's capability, its still worth noting that the new macOS High Seirra will be released Autumn 2017 (Sept 22 to Dec 21) and iOS 11 September 2017. I wonder if the next release of Enpass and the Third party Audit results might coincide.
  6. Apple has announced that "beginning on 15 June, app-specific passwords will be required to access your iCloud data using third-party apps such as Microsoft Outlook, Mozilla Thunderbird, or other mail, contacts and calendar services not provided by Apple. If you are already signed in to a third-party app using your primary Apple ID password, you will be signed out automatically when this change takes effect. You will need to generate an app-specific password and sign in again" I am unclear if this impacts Enpass. Can you advise: Is Enpass impacted? If so will Enpass support a means of entering an App Specific Password before June 15? Thanks
  7. @Zbyszek Don't think so mate. Enpass is, if anything, too cheap at $14.99 AUD on Apples App Store in Australia for mobile platforms and free for desktop. 1Password is $2.99 or $4.99, $US, PER MONTH. https://1password.com/sign-up/ and it requires your password data to be stored and synchronised on THEIR servers. This is $5.99 or $9.99 PER MONTH on Apples App Store in Australia. safeincloud is $7.99 for the iOS version on Apples App Store in Australia. It supports windows mac iOS and android only. Suggest that choosing a password manager on price is a bit risky. If price is the factor there are lots of free ones available (but I don't think I would trust my bank logins, debit card info etc etc to them)
  8. Ah, OK. My mistake. I thought you said you had only seen this crash while opening enpass in chrome. Good luck getting it sorted.
  9. @Eduard Bosch ...while your waiting on @Anshu kumar to come back to you.... do you think it worth trying to uninstall and then reinstall Chrome, then reinstall the browser extension? (you may need to backup your bookmarks if your not logged into your Google account and have sync bookmarks set.....To backup bookmarks: Open Google Chrome, and click the Customize and Control Google Chrome menu > Bookmarks. Next, select Bookmarks manager. Now, click the Organize menu > Export bookmarks to HTML file: Choose a location to save the file, and then click Save)
  10. @Heiko I am coming off using 1Password and have similar issues with some accounts that require multiple entries (sometimes on different pages too) such as ID and password plus a transaction password In 1Password I used an approach with a totally separate Login entry just to carry the transaction password. So I had "Acme Corporation Login" with ID and Password and "Acme Corporation Trans" with the Transaction Password. That worked OK for me....maybe worth trying on the AWS account? Else-wise, for me, I am OK with waiting on Enpass for the forthcoming release, and in the meantime, using cut and paste where necessary, if the separate login entries method doesn't work on a particular site I access (but then I don't have too many accounts needing 3 or more login items). @Anshu kumar , looking forward to the next major version with support for Form filler !
  11. If folk need help setting up the SquidMan Proxy there are, in addition to the basic installation instructions that come with the DMG, further helpful instructions, thanks to Jim Newbery, here: Using SquidMan to snoop iOS requests Thanks again Vikram.
  12. Terrific as usual. Thanks for the idea and the speedy response. Most appreciated.
  13. Really pleased to see the Enpass now supports turning off access to Google Analytics and the Enpass update servers. Option to disable update and analytics, plus attachment support enabled. Also really pleased that a 3rd part Audit is planned (maybe use Travis Ormandy from Google? He seems to be quite effective) . Thank you for these advancements. I have a related question. On my Macbook I have an outgoing firewall, called Little Snitch, that allows me to monitor outgoing communications and be certain nothing is inappropriatly accessing sites in the network/internet. On my ipad and iphone there doesnt seem to be any way to do the same monitoring. How would I go about being sure that Enpass for iOS was not accessing sites inappropriatley from these mobile devices?
  14. Its available now. See article here Enpass Supports Attachments & limits access to internet Thanks Enpass !
  15. Suggest you take a look at The Wirecutter reviews by example. The data they have is a bit out of date and some imminent features (announced in these forum pages) they are obviously unaware of.... Equally they seem to think that not storing customers data on your website is a big disadvantage. I am very sure many people will think sync via iCloud, dropbox, wifi or similar is much better than consigning such important data to such honeypot targets. Enpass needs to work to support journalists with uptodate information to raise the profile of their very promising product.
  16. If I may offer my opinion. I am happy to pay reasonable license costs for software. I am happy to pay again for major releases eg version 5.xx to version 6.xx. I think your current pricing is at the low end when compared to competitors of similar products. ie products under ongoing development, with ready access to techical support, user forums etc. But if your happy with your pricing model it thats fine by me as long as it means you can continue developing and supporting Enpass. I dont like (and so far have avoided) paying monthly 'subscription' fees for any software. I wont use a password manager that mandates customers store their data on their controlled servers. Why? ...For me, I do not want to be put my login data, credit card information, banking access codes etc on honeypot of servers and I see no advantage that compells me to take a risk and add my data to such a hacker target. I appreciate that I can sync my devices via iCloud or Box or Onedrive etc..... please dont change this ability.
  17. Third Party Audit on the way, Attachments in Beta, multiple vaults coming too....Well that is all good news. Great to see Enpass responding to customers in such a positive way.
  18. So that worked perfectly (of course) Thanks again for the quick response.
  19. Ah, excellent thank you for your quick response. I thought it needed my Apple password cause it was wanting access to iCloud I will do it again with the master password and advise
  20. I am trying out Enpass with view to moving from 1Password (why? while 1P say they have not done it yet, it seems 1P is moving to a service where device sync is on their servers only, and a monthly account fee will be required rather than a 'per major revision' license model...so I suspect if Enpass can get this right then there may be lots of new clients to be had.) Anyway, for the test I have: iPhone 5 running iOS 10.2.1 and Macbook Pro running running macOS 10.12.3 On the MacBook I have Enpass 5.4.1 (74) and on the iPhone Enpass 5.4.5 I have created a database on Enpass on the Mac with only 2 logins. These logins function OK. I have set the Mac to sync to iCloud. This appears to have occurred OK. I can see into the iCloud Drive and there is an Enpass file there as it should be. On the iPhone I attempt to "restore my exiting data"and choose iCloud. It asks for my Apple password with I provide. I get the message "incorrect password or invalid file" I have turned off sync on the Mac, deleted the Enpass file from iCloud and started again. The Mac creates a new Enpass file in iCloud ok, but when I go the the iPhone I again get the same error message i.e.: "incorrect password or invalid file" ... I have tried several times, I am definitely using the correct password. I have completely shutdown the iPhone and tried again. Same result. I know there are other options but I like iCloud and would prefer to use that service. Really looking forward to your response. Thanks in advance.
