Lele D. Posted April 8, 2020 Report Posted April 8, 2020 Hey Enpass folks! Not sure if this is possible but it would be super handy to use this feature to not type in my long password when i have to access the enpass app on my mac (I don't have a mac with fingerprint recognition)
Garima Singh Posted April 9, 2020 Report Posted April 9, 2020 Hi @Lele D. Thanks for using Enpass and writing to us. We really appreciate you for exploring the app and giving time in finding this valuable suggestion. The suggestion has already been noted and shared with the development team for further consideration. Thanks for the suggestion!
bhh Posted June 12, 2020 Report Posted June 12, 2020 Hi, I am also interested in this feature. That would be really good if it were to be realized. bhh 1
Garima Singh Posted June 15, 2020 Report Posted June 15, 2020 Hey @bhh, Thanks for using Enpass and writing to us. We appreciate your feedback. Please note that we already have a feature request for the same, which is aligned for implementation in the future. However, we’re not sure of a specific timeline when this will be implemented. Thanks.
manolo4711 Posted October 10, 2020 Report Posted October 10, 2020 After the great "full" Touch ID Support implementation on macOS, the Apple watch double click Enpass authentication will be a new great enhancement. Especially when your Macbook lid is closed and you'll have no access to the TouchID Sensor. That for me often the case. Thanks for the best Passwort Manager in the App Store!
spn Posted November 17, 2020 Report Posted November 17, 2020 One of your competitors released today an update with support for unlocking with apple watch. This is a huge improvement for Mac Mini and iMac users. When will Enpass have enabled this feature?
manolo4711 Posted November 18, 2020 Report Posted November 18, 2020 It is really a pity that the competitor here is first
Garima Singh Posted November 19, 2020 Report Posted November 19, 2020 Hey @manolo4711 & @spn Thanks for writing in and sharing your views. To unlock Enpass using Apple-watch is already in our to-do list and will be available with the future version of Enpass. Please co-operate with us for the time-being. Thanks!
Blackvz Posted November 27, 2020 Report Posted November 27, 2020 I am also very interested in that feature. 1

Attis Posted January 14, 2021 Report Posted January 14, 2021 Just expressing my interest in this to help you prioritize. I am often using my MBP with lid closed which disables Touch ID. Falling back to Apple Watch in that case would be super appreciated Thanks for all your hard work! 1

It seems that you have implemented this feature in version 6.6.0, but only for Macs supporting Touch ID. When will this feature be supported on Macs without Touch ID? I would think these are the Macs where this feature is more interesting than on Macs that already have Touch ID for quick unlocking of Enpass.
Attis Posted February 9, 2021 Report Posted February 9, 2021 Just tested the updated version that adds Apple Watch support. First of all, thanks a lot for taking our feedback into consideration and working on that feature :) Unfortunately, the way it currently works does not solve my problem. Whenever I have my laptop's lid closed, the Touch ID gets disabled. In that situation, I am not getting a prompt on my Watch - it works only when the lid is open, and in that case Touch ID is just as convenient as Watch, if not more. In contrast, when I am unlocking something in System Preferences, with lid open I can use both Touch ID and Watch to approve the unlock request (so just like in Enpass), but with lid CLOSED I still can use Apple Watch, even though Touch ID is inaccessible and disabled. And that makes a ton of difference in terms of usability. Hope this is an easy fix for you, guys. Once again, I appreciate your hard work on making Enpass better!
Garima Singh Posted February 11, 2021 Report Posted February 11, 2021 Hey @Attis & @tuttimann Thanks for your feedback. I have discussed with the team and got to know that the same is in our roadmap and will be available in the future releases. 1
Attis Posted April 1, 2021 Report Posted April 1, 2021 Yaaay! Just upgraded to 6.6.1 and I can confirm that now approving via Apple Watch works as it should - even with the lid closed. Many thanks, guys and gals 1
tuttimann Posted April 8, 2021 Report Posted April 8, 2021 Any update regarding Apple Watch Support for Macs without TouchID? 1
Garima Singh Posted April 8, 2021 Report Posted April 8, 2021 Hey @tuttimann Thanks for writing in. The requested feature of Apple Watch Support for macOS without Touch-ID is already been implemented and will be available in any of the upcoming releases. Stay tuned!
Yinyangi Posted October 28, 2021 Report Posted October 28, 2021 Is there update for Apple Watch Support for Macs without TouchID, still waiting up for this feature !
Discordant Posted November 4, 2021 Report Posted November 4, 2021 It’s already in 6.7.3. Just go to the preferences and then Security and click the checkbox next to Unlock with Apple Watch. If you don’t see that, make sure you have the latest Mac App Store version installed and Apple Watch paired with the account you’re logged in as. 2
