Fabian1 Posted April 2, 2023 Report Posted April 2, 2023 Don't buy Enpass. This support sucks. They're kidding us. They've been doing that for years. They write that they will fix the problem in the next update. That never happens. They want a demo account that will never be called. They say that they forward the requests to some teams. That doesn't happen. Everything goes straight to the recycle bin. What's more, Enpass has been evasive in answering questions about security for years. We have to assume that Enpass contains very large security vulnerabilities that have not been fixed for years. I strongly advise against using Enpass. Don't buy Enpass.
pos Posted May 8, 2023 Report Posted May 8, 2023 I can see this new release now... --snip-- Version 6.8.6 (1360) Release Date May 08, 2023 Two small changes in this release: one a security improvement and one Enpass Business back-end tweak: Improvements: Sharing individual Items in Enpass will now require using a pre-shared key (PSK). ENPASS BUSINESS: Microsoft 365 permissions scopes updated. --snip-- Cannot see anything about a fix for the icloud advanced data protection issue
D15 Posted May 17, 2023 Report Posted May 17, 2023 Cannot sync/activate to iCloud (Mac). You have been redirected to the iCloud login page. Please login with Enpass enabled to sync. Authentication Error This action could not be completed. Please close the window and try again. This problem also occurs with other users. When will it be solved/fixed? Thanks for the information

Thanks for the information If you read the whole thread and check the dates when first logged, you will see it seems to be meaningless to log cases or ask enpass team in the forum. The only conclusion you can draw from this is... Enpass team don't care! All they can do is talk! No action.... Now they won't even talk... There are a bunch of cases like this. Some logged 6 months ago with a promised high priority (this case was also promised with high priority). not fixed. So what do you expect. I guess that.... if they are low on development resources, it can be bad for security fixes as well. If you put all eggs in the enpass basket where we are not sure of security fixes will come if needed, well....
Jamhunt Posted July 6, 2023 Report Posted July 6, 2023 Hi Enpass team, hi @Abhishek Dewan, When will there be a fix, the problem has been there for some time now. Would not like to change, since I am almost from the beginning. But since the synchronization in the form does not work, I probably have no choice, since the effort exceeds the benefit. 1
Ratones Posted July 27, 2023 Report Posted July 27, 2023 I found a solution for me. I don't know if it helps for others. Problem: After reinstalling Enpass, I could not retrieve my vault from iCloud. The authentication error kept coming up. Solution for me: I created a new vault with the same master password I have in iCloud. Then I turned on the synchronization via the settings and now it works. Maybe it helps one or the other. Good luck!
ProximusAl Posted September 25, 2023 Report Posted September 25, 2023 Well this is just rubbish. I'm in the UK so just got the ability to enable ADP on iCloud, and I sync all my EnPass with iCloud. I enabled ADP, and now EnPass cannot and will not sync to iCloud. The apparent solution above does not work, as nothing I do can get EnPass to connect to iCloud. The only solution for me currently is to disable ADP, which gets EnPass working again.
Abhishek Dewan Posted November 10, 2023 Report Posted November 10, 2023 Hi @all Following a comprehensive investigation into this matter, we wish to present our findings to you regarding the Enpass app's integration with iCloud. There are two methods through which the Enpass app interacts with iCloud: Direct iCloud Account Usage (Mac Store Version Only): Users can utilize their iCloud account directly from the system without any additional authentication, but please note that this feature is exclusive to the Mac Store version. Browser Navigation with iCloud Account Credentials: Alternatively, users can access iCloud by navigating through a web browser, where they need to input their iCloud account credentials. During our investigation, we identified a bug in the store version that was disrupting the functionality mentioned in the first point. We are pleased to inform you that this issue has been addressed and resolved in the latest release. Consequently, users with one vault and the Mac Store version of the app can now seamlessly sync with ADP enabled. For users utilizing the website version, we recommend trying the store version if you intend to sync only one vault with iCloud. We encourage you to share your feedback and findings with us for further improvements.
Mike_Lannixter Posted December 14, 2023 Report Posted December 14, 2023 I've installed the Mac Store version of Enpass. With ADP enabled I am still not able to get Enpass connected to iCloud. Enpass shows an authentication error. Re authentication doesn't help. With ADP disabled it works as expected.
Mike_Lannixter Posted January 3 Report Posted January 3 Can someone confirm that the issue isn't solved yet?
