chiwou Posted September 23, 2018 Report Posted September 23, 2018 (edited) Hi, in the UWP its possible to start the app and just use Windows Hello, would like to see this in the new version of Enpass too. And atm after Enpass locked the current session, you've to manually select Hello to unlock, it's just an extra step, but after a while it gets really annoying :-) thanks Edited September 23, 2018 by chiwou 2
Kubiac Posted January 2, 2019 Report Posted January 2, 2019 Version 6 is out and the problem still exists. What's the purpose of Windows Hello? Right, to Login without Password! So why do I have to type in my Masterpasswort the first time I open up Enpass? For now Windows Hello integration in Enpass is really usless.
Damasta Posted January 2, 2019 Report Posted January 2, 2019 If Windows Hello is enabled, please use Hello as the default authentication method. Currently, I need to tap the little face icon first - one step too many. Thanks! 3
Damasta Posted January 2, 2019 Report Posted January 2, 2019 +1 Agreed - this is ultra-annoying. I need to get my Android Enpass to get my master password to get my Windows Enpass. And the extra click on the face icon is plain unnecessary. Off-topic: why didn't this thread show up when did a global search for "hello" in this forum?
Daniel Posted January 4, 2019 Report Posted January 4, 2019 Please It is very annoying and forced sequentiality.
chase Posted January 10, 2019 Report Posted January 10, 2019 Yes this is really annoying. Please imporve. At Android or Iphone you also don't have to click on validate per fingerpringt!
Carlos Gurridaga Posted January 10, 2019 Report Posted January 10, 2019 +1 I'm usign a Yubikey, and for startup my password/PIN is asked anyway. one my identity has been confirmed at OS level, Enpass should accept Windows Hello (Yubikey in this case) as enough to be able to start enpass. A 'autounlock at start if Windows Hello is accepted / key is connected' option should exist for this use-case.
Bob___ Posted May 30, 2020 Report Posted May 30, 2020 Yes, I would also be very interested in how Windows Hello can be used directly when unlocking the Windows 10 Enpass App. It's just very annoying if you have to click on the smiley face with the mouse first. 1
Garima Singh Posted June 1, 2020 Report Posted June 1, 2020 Hey Guys Sorry for the inconvenience caused to you. We would like to inform you that currently, Enpass asks for the master password in these scenarios even if you have enabled the ‘Windows Hello’ : System re-start When you quit Enpass and starts fresh However, we do have plans to improve the 'Windows Hello' functionality for full-time support and update will be available with the subsequent update of Enpass. Thanks for your co-operation!
