We have found a scenario in which the Chrome Extension v6.7.4 prevents javascript dropdowns from displaying.  On the affected websites, clearing cookies, cache, and reboot do not fix the issue.  Opening the affected page in Incognito or disabling the Enpass extension both fix the issue.  We are able to reliably reproduce this on multiple Windows 10 machines running Chrome 98.0.4758.102.

This may be a similar issue in this thread:

This issue (sounds the same) has been known here for months. As far as i know there is no solution yet.

I also experience this problem and reported it here.

Same over here!

On Google Chrome Version 98.0.4758.81 I have certain problems on dropdowns and input fields inside https://???.??/*. They are not clickable or selectable by mouse - they flicker by clicking on them.

Shouldn't the blacklist option deny loading Enpass on the blacklisted URL?

Perfect would be, if Enpass only gets loaded on the login page (https://???.??/) but not on the inner pages (https://???.??/member/*). So  https://???.??/member/* would be the only blacklist entry.

@Abhishek Dewan any more news on this? It's been months and I still have to regularly toggle the enpass extension off and on to be able to fill forms out on some websites!

I really like your product and i have installed it at a lot at not so tech savy people (because the program is/was so easy to use), but they / i need a solution. Many of them are old and adding a exclusion and working around it is okee-ish for more tech savy people but for them it is quite difficult.

So in short my question is when can we expect a solution? Looking at the number of topics / posts it seems to be a problem that happens quite a lot.

So thumbs up for the program, thanks in advance and good luck finding/working on a solution!

Well it should be flagged with the highest priority to be honest.
Impacting the user experience to the point of preventing them to fill forms, select dropdowns is a serious matter.
The fix proposed is not even effective when you have 20+ websites all with the same issue.

Same kind of problems, for months now.

Shortcuts in (Wordpress) Elementor (site builder) don't work either with the Enpass plugin active (latest Firefox, macOS 10.14.6).

Still not working with Extension 6.7.5 on Chrome 100.0.4896.127 (64-Bit).

From my experience, it is not absolutely necessary to turn off the entire extension. It is enough to turn off the auto-fill pop-up in the extension settings. Then you at least have the possibility to continue using the normal/old browser extension.

I hope, this will help you.

This indeed seems to help, thanks for the tip. The automatischen Ausfüllen doesn't work very well anyway, so I can live without it.

For the record: The 'big' update of two days ago change list doesn't mention a fix for this. I'm surprised, because it really is a pain in the butt.

I really don't understand why this doesn't have top priority. I mean, surely this must hurt sales? Or is only a minority of users hurt by this??

I can't believe this still hasn't been addressed. I've been a big Enpass fan until now. I've patiently waited months only to have this clearly serious and widely user affecting bug ignored. I'm going to spend the weekend looking for a new password service.

Where can I find this settings?

It depends on your browser. In (Mac) FireFox it's CMD-, (with the Command-key pressed, type comma). Then, in the left column, at the bottom, click on the puzzle Addons and Themes. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/find-and-install-add-ons-add-features-to-firefox

In Safari and other Mac browsers it's always CMD-, to get to the preferences. Usually that's where the plugins live in a submenu.

Else, just google it :)

Unfortunately, even @Timo K.'s tip doesn't work any more.

How long has it been? At least nine months later and no progress on this problem in any way.

The browser plugin simply doesn't work any more AT ALL. First the shortcut stopped working, now also the right mouse click / contextual menu simply doesn't do anything any more. I'm very disappointed in Enpass and regret buying the app. Now I'm forced to do research and move all my 750+ logins again.

You can trust me to ventilate my opinion about Enpass on every occaision I get while going online to find the best password manager.

Hi @laptopleon

Apologies for the inconvenience caused to you in this matter.

In our recent updates, we have improved the Enpass app and Enpass Extension's response to different websites based on the feedback we have received from our users. If you are having trouble with a particular website, please elaborate on the issue (the behaviour of the webpage when using the Enpass app/Extension) and share the following details with me. I'll be more than happy to get it checked for you.

 -

  1. The version of the Enpass app, Extension, OS and browser you are using.
  2. The URL and name of the webpages on which you are facing the issue.
  1. Version of Enpass app: 6.8.2 / extension: 6.8.0 / OS: macOS 10.14.6 / browser: Firefox 103.0.1 — I also tried Safari. version: 14.1.2 Safari extension: 6.8.2
  2. For example today I tried to log in to https://www.nieuwsblad.be/ (register / login is on the top right of the homepage). The keyboard shortcut / contextual menu via right-click trigger the plugin, but "Enpass Assistant kan geen verbinding maken met de Enpass-app" (can't connect to the Enpass app), even though this worked untill last week via the contextual menu and Enpass is still installed. It makes no difference whether Enpass is locked or unlocked.

More examples: https://www.ad.nl/ (another newspaper, again login on the top right). https://www.mijnpensioenoverzicht.nl/ (you might want to change 'Nederlands' to 'English' on the top right. Login goes via the DigiD button Log in with DigiD, the national governmental login third party. It will lead you to https://digid.nl/en/inloggen if you change it to English (top left) again. You probably aren't a Dutch or EU citizen and don't have a working login but you can test by choosing 'Using username and password'. Enpass is unable to connect. Meanwhile, I can still log in the desktop Enpass app, change logins etc. It's also still synchronised with the iPhone app.

How does this relate to the “Enpass blocks drop down” issue which this thread is about? I think this should be moved to a separate one.
