Thanks. This was too easy to check this on my own. Thanks! Now I am all set to go.

Hi @Magnus_Carlsen, Thank you for reaching out to us. The correct or rather the more accurate question would be, does Enpass intend to create such a backdoor to steal customer passwords in the future. The answer would be a straightforward no. As a business, Enpass has larger goals that would benefit from securing customer data ( since we are a security company), and not from stealing it. We have complete control over the queries originated from Enpass to servers and what it entails. Furthermore, we have abundant users who happen to be experts in security domain who are more than capable of identifying any such misadventure just by looking at the URL connections created by Enpass and what it contains. Lastly, we get regular 3rd party audits, whose reports are available on our website. Please check out the link here. Thanks!

It would be nice if Enpass could store the password history for an account, retaining previously used passwords (passwords that were actually saved, not just generated) in a list or note that can be viewed on demand on the account card itself. Thank you!

Hi @scottjl, Thanks for writing in. I would like to share that Enpass already have the option to see the history of changes in every kind of fields in an item except Notes. For more details please have a look at our user manual. Cheers!

I understand that you do not wish to open-source your product, but I am reluctant to use it because of the fact it is closed-source, the company is based in India (yes, this matters) and there is no information about the development team. Have you considered having an independent 3rd-party audit your source-code on a regular basis as a way to gain credibility without open-sourcing your product? Thanks, Gili

On base install of Kubuntu 19.04, Enpass is unable to authorize sync with Dropbox (via Firefox). An error appears when clicking "Authorize" on the Dropbox sync page. I believe this is because newer versions of Kubuntu omit the `desktop-file-utils` package. This can be fixed by running the following commands in terminal: sudo apt install desktop-file-utils sudo update-desktop-database After this, run the sync setup again and it should work.

Just FYI, with yesterday's release it works like a charm for me!

@Friedi Yes, but I cannot say anything about Chrome as I'm not using it. But @Twizzlers has probably the problem that his “Domain” field’s type is not URL (that's what I see from his screenshot), but there might also be another issue, I don't know. He should just check it out. Finally I can tell you, I have no issues with archive.org or any other website, when all needed fields are setup correctly.

If you try to start it from the command line are there any error messages generated?

I do not have access to a Windows machine at the moment but Linux options look like this: I should be working on Windows system tomorrow so will have a look how the version on there looks.

Hi @Anshu kumar, after running and testing the latest Enpass update 6.1.1 for several days now, I can confirm that it is not longer raising platform timer resolution! Thank you for fixing it

Now that Enpass 6 supports multiple Vaults, I was moving my work-related items to a second vault, and school items to a third vault. I find it would be useful to support OneDrive for Business to sync in this kind of situation (my school uses Office 365 Education, which I think also uses OneDrive for Business). OneDrive for Business also supports the "apps" folder, where you should save Enpass data.

From what I can see on your screenshot @Twizzlers, your “Domain” field’s type is not URL.

Hi, When I come to a site in Chrome that has a Login/password saved, there is no visual indicator on the extension icon that a password is saved. It doesn't light up. Most extensions I use will up when active/usable. Help! This web page had a password saved, but icon is gray and there is no indicator that there is a Login saved for the page.

Problem solved! This is a bug in xfce4-panel (respectively in ayatana-indicator-application) and not related to Enpass! To get the Enpass systray show up in xfce4-panel "simply" kill the ayatana-indicator-application process (and probably deinstall this deb).

Hi, first - today i switched from 1Password to Enpass because they ripped the local storage in 7.3x. And guys, you saved my day! Enpass is a real competitor to 1Password... So i wan’t Enpass become even better, so i ask you to add following feature. Today you support iCloud which allows me to use there one vault. iOS 13 supports shared iCloud Drive folder, which if i create a single folder for every vault i need and all of my vaults are stored in one place. If you could realize this, your not only my heroes - your the kings of the hill... Kind regards! Thomas

Hello @Vikram, I would like to experiment with the KeyFile functionality. Do you have documentation I can follow to try this out? With respect to SQRL this is an free open source method of user authentication. I've attached a snapshot from the documentation. Thanks PS: Please note that I am not associated with this project in any way.

this Feature is also an essential one that is absolutely decisive for me. Unless this will not implemented, i will not be able to consider switching

Hi, The issue has apparently been solved (Enpass 6.1.1 (424)). I have tried Enpass in offline mode and the Premium features are restored (it takes a few seconds to disappear the warning to buy the Premium features). Thank you very much for solving it.

Hi, This matter is also covered in this post: Basically as yet there is no timeline on the introduction of the feature, but for a fuller explanation please look at the thread.

Hi @JohnZ Sorry, at the moment, there is no option to hide this message. But I have passed your feedback to our team to see if we could have it in the future. Thanks.

@Anshu kumar I installed it from Microsoft Store. I reinstalled it already, but I will share the crash report next time it starts to crash.

Not sure how I missed that ....

Hello, Windows, Mac and Linux desktop versions are free except for a few features, you have to switch to the Premium. Look here (for Mobile and Desktop versions): https://www.enpass.io/pricing/ Prices are valid for life. You only have to pay once time

@samuela - Does it recognize the website you're visiting, or do you have to search for and associate the login with Brave? Right now it "works" for me also but I have to link Brave with every site I visit which means eventually I'll have to scroll though a long list of logins to find the right one (rather than being presented with the one that is relevant to the current website.)

Hey everybody! I would like to propose to change the print dialog to be more customizable. I am keeping a printed version of my complete Enpass Vault in a secure location as a backup, but there are no options to configure the result, and the default is pretty paper-wasting. (my 331 password entries result in 72 A4 pages!) I would love to be able to shrink this, for example be able to remove the "Last Modified" or the category, or only selectively print specific values. (Example for what I would love to have, don't worry, those are fake passwords)

Sure, just let me know if i can do something to help.
  33. 1 point
As long as you have same version on both, i.e. v.6, then copying over the .walletx (v.5) or .enpassbackup (v.6) should be what you need. Of course if you are syncing to a cloud service theoretically you should be able to restore straight from there. As for your OS the officially tested versions of Linux are CentOS 7, Fedora 27 and Ubuntu 14.04 or later (64-bit only) as detailed: https://www.enpass.io/docs/manual-desktop/getting_start.html#prerequisites-for-enpass-version-release I am running Xubuntu with no issues.

The issue has been resolved. For anyone else with the same issue: I had not specified the proper target folder on the WebDAV server. Appending a '/home' to the server URL fixed the issue.

Hello guys. Thanks for scale fix with .profile file. But this solution broke another qt software. I've added this lines to my ~/.profile and it's fixed my enpass. But with this lines VirtualBox GUI seems to be broken. How I can set qt scaling only for one application ? Or do you have any other suggestions ? My env: Xubuntu 18.04 full updated, latest Enpass (6.0.6 383) and latest Virtualbox from Oracle repo. Thanks. UPD: This config is ok for enpass and looks like for vbox too.

I also would like to know what the new timeline is for Wifi sync. I am considering buying this software but i need Wifi sync. I don't want any 3rd party having any access to my data. Thank you
  38. 1 point
Hi! A great feature would be to implement wi-fi sync without using any cloud service. For example, when your phone is connected on the same wifi as your computer, they automatically sync their data. That would be perfect for people who don't trust cloud services and only want their files to be stored locally.

Would the password list report format as "Table" format (likes Excel style)? It can just provides the option of which fields to print, (e.g. name, email, url, password as a single line) In the current design, the printing hard-copy is too many pages although just a few password items.

as far as i'm aware, it can still be made to work without special accessibility events. other password managers are able to correctly fill in credentials in these browsers. some of them have public source code (GPL licenced) which show how they do it. some references: code which detects the URL fields in browsers if it detects an application name that's a browser in it's list (it's a xamarin app, so it's c# code): https://github.com/bitwarden/mobile/blob/master/src/Android/AutofillService.cs#L260 list of browsers and corresponding urlbar field names: https://github.com/bitwarden/mobile/blob/master/src/Android/AutofillService.cs#L24 so this should definitely be possible to implement. i understand that the current implementation might have some limitations, but you should still be able to work around those limitations by detecting the URL fields in the apps. kind regards intuxikated

I would go even farther than that and easily allow us to add several urls to a login entry, some company leverage "SSO" to let you connect with the same set of credentials on multiple, very domain names, for example amazon.com and amazon.de share the same login backend. Right now it will store one entry for each website and will get out of sync as soon as you change your password as only one entry will get updated. Once implemented, we would then need an easy way in the UI to "merge" two entries, and maybe ask the user which password to keep if the passwords are not identical (most probably because one of the entries still has the old password before a reset). I don't know any password manager that handle this use case in a nice, user friendly way and this would be a great plus to Enpass.

Merge 2 cards Hi, Is there a way to merge 2 existing cards with data? For example, I have a fully filled card that I would like to merge with another one, containing extra data (like "Visa" card and separate "bank account" one). How could I achieve this? Thanks for your help

+1 If you choose not to share the source, its sorta up to you to pay some third party to review the code with NDA. And as Gili said, no one expects reoccuring audits. Its mostly, or at least about customers needing to know that you've implemented cryptography in a acceptable way and of course that there are no additional ways in to a running process of Enpass.
  45. 1 point
Hemant, Thank you for your response. I don't think anyone is expecting frequent audits. Once a year or every 3 years should be enough. As to the cost... that's the cost of doing business. The primary reason I skipped over this product was because it was both close-sourced and unaudited. Otherwise, I would have purchased a copy. Gili

I´ve the same question. Can you make it possible to sync with wlan or with the enpass file on the PC when the mobile device is connected with bluetooth? I don´t like sync my passwords with any cloud..... When one of this will be possible I immediately buy this software for my Iphone.

Hey guys,Thanks for your suggestions. they are already in our roadmap and will be available with our future versions.

Hi @Mark Thanks for posting your query on our Forums. From a consumer point of view, we do respect your concern about security. Yes. it's true. We also thought of getting a third party audit of Enpass but eventually had to drop this idea for some time (so far). All this because Enpass supports so many platforms with a high frequency of updates (all together) and it is not possible for us to get every update audited because every successive update will invalidate the last audit done. Also getting the source code audited is very hefty in terms of time and expense. I hope that helps answer your question.
