1. The keyboard autofill works great on Android in Chrome and in dedicated apps like Amazon and eBay, but in Firefox I just get the full list of my passwords to search through. This is a nice fallback, but I hope you will consider giving full support to Firefox on Android in the future.
2. I have a site where i need to fill in 3 fields in order to log in: 2 different ID fields and the password. The problem is I can't figure out how to do it with Enpass. When I was using Roboform it was able to handle this without a problem. Here is the site: https://www.dayforcehcm.com I need to fill in Company and User Name fields of "text" and "numeric" types respectively and also fill in the Password field. At best I was able to fill in User Name and Password. I can't fill in Company field via Enpass no matter what I tried. Any suggestions are appreciated.
3. Hi guys, Thanks for being active and your feedback. We have accounted this issue to be fixed in future releases. This is what I should say very unusual behavior as Enpass works very well with Chrome Browser. We highly recommend that browser verification must be enabled for supported browsers to validate their code signatures. One of the possible cause could be some firewall or antivirus is there and preventing the communication between Enpass and Enpass Browser Extension, as a result you are getting "Enpass Conneciton Error". I suggest you to check your antivirus/firewall settings if they are blocking localhost address 127.0.0.1. Please let us know, if problem still persist. Autofill through Enpass Browser extension works by manually selecting the item with which you want to autofill as this gives better control if you have multiple items there (and you can peep into there details). However we will keep on improving that. Cheers!

5.1.5 Beta

Hi @DoughP, We have released new Enpass beta version 5.1.6 with some fixes for Autofill using Notifications. Please update your Beta build and let us know if it works. Thanks!
5. I see what you saying.., No, I also have to click on Enpass icon and manually activate the "autofill" by clicking on the relevant entry.
6. So are you saying that autofill now works for you? Because in my case Enpass has no problem identifying the website but it does not fill in the fields unless you manually activate the "autofill" by cicking on the Enpass button and selecting the relevant entry.
7. Ok, I've figured out what (a part of) the issue was. I have all my logins imported from Roboform using Roborom's Print / Save as HTML feature. The problem is that Roboform inserts soft hyphen characters to every single data field (URL, username, password, etc.) in the HTML file. When Enpass imported the data from Roboform's HTML file it imported soft hyphens but treated them as invisible characters. As a result Enpass couldn't match any imported entry to the existing sites and failed to autofill any entries. I have partially rectified the issue by removing all entries of "" (soft hyphens) from the HTM file before importing into Enpass. Now autofill works on some of the sites. There is still at least one site where autofill didn't work until I edited the data manually. For one of my banks login data was stored in Roboform in the following fields: k1: <card number> q1: <password> So when Enpass imported this entry from the HTML file it failed to recognize k1 field as Username and q1 as Password. I have manually changed in Enpass the field types to respectively Username and Password and got autofill working. I'm sure there will be many more entries like this where Enpass didn't assign proper field type. I'd like to see Enpass importing algorithm improved to: Remove soft hyphens from Roboform export data Improve recognition of username and password fields
8. When fingerprint authentication is enabled the autofill tool asks for a fingerprint rather than the master password, as expected. But, unlike the full app, there is no option to use the master password instead (in case, say, my fingers or the phone are wet and the sensor won't work). This leads to the tedious solution of copy-pasting passwords or temporarily disabling fingerprint auth.
9. I can confirm that Autofill doesn't work in Chrome. Rather disappointing but I guess it will be fixed soon?
10. I've just installed Enpass few days ago to try and see if it's any better than Roboform I'm currently using. The biggest challenge / drawback I'm seeing right now is that autofill doesn't work at all in Chrome. I'm using the latest version of Chrome and no matter what I tried the autofill isn't working. At first Enpass extension for Chrome wouldn't work reporting "Enpass Connection Error" but I was able to rectify it by disabling browser verification in settings. However autofill still is a no go. I'm using Windows 7 x64 / Chrome 50.0.2661.102 m (64-bit) and Windows 10 x64 / Chrome 50.0.2661.102 m with the same result on both systems.
11. Hey guys, thanks for your time and thanks for making such an amazing app. It's been working very well for me so far and is now my favourite password manager across my devices. I especially love the new autofill feature. Two suggestions that I think would make your app even better: 1) Have some way of saving new logins - perhaps a new notification can show up which allows you to directly save new logins into the database. 2) Perhaps some way of disabling the autofill notification for certain websites or apps - I get the autofill notification for a lot of my apps even after logging in - perhaps you could have an option to block Enpass for certain apps, adding them to a blacklist for example, and then users can go into the blacklist on the Enpass app to manage their preferences. Thanks for taking the time to read this. I hope you consider these features!

5.1.5 Beta

Hi @DoughP, Thanks for being a part of Enpass beta program & reporting the issue. Please provide these details for more investigation Device on which you are using Enpass? Android OS version on your device? Does this happen for all websites/apps when you try to autofill using Enpass? Does Enpass notification fill the username/password before crash? If possible, can you please make a short video of the crash.
13. When I use enpass to autofill my login details on https://keybase.io, it fails to fill them in. Instead in creates a url with my username and password and submits that! Obviously that fails too, but that leaves my credentials in someones log file. This occurs on Chrome (with ext V 5.2.1) and Firefox (with ext V 5.2.0)

16. Hi @Craig Sorry for the inconvenience caused to you. But starting a service the way you described doesn't qualify a good use case from our perspective to consume precious system resources. It seems the other password manager you suggested also asks for Master password once the App is killed. At the moment (if you can update your Android system to 4.1), the possible work around is to enable the Autofill service of Enpass to keep it always alive in background (as a protection against being killed by OS). And then you will always prompted for PIN until the service is running.
17. Hi @Craig, 5 seconds test was just to check if the Enpass's default behavior of unlocking with PIN is working correctly because in 5 seconds the chances of being killed by OS are very low. As far as we understood, you are expecting a full time PIN unlock behavior (like we have in iOS) where Enpass will never ask you for Master password even if killed by OS. Currently we don't have full time PIN unlock feature, but we do have Full time Fingerprint feature and that is for Android M devices with fingerprint sensor as mentioned here https://www.enpass.io/blog/Enpass-5-for-Android-Fingerprint-support-Autofill-and-much-more/. Shortfall of Full time PIN unlock in Enpass is for the sake of security of Master password because we don't have any Android-provided approach to secure Master password on pre Android-M devices. More at: https://www.enpass.io/unlock-using-fingerprint-in-android-marshmallow-security/ We can understand that at times, it becomes cumbersome to provide Master password but currently we don't have any secure way to implement this feature. Yes, other password managers (mainly Online one) can do this by authenticating your unlocking attempt by saved tokens, but being an offline password manager, Enpass has no such option (currently). Cheers!
18. Hi @Wolfgang, Adding attachments and custom templates are in our priority list and will work on them as soon as we release Portable version( Cross-platform), Improved password generator on all platforms, Autofill on Android using notifications and improved Enpass keyboard, improved UWP with TOTP and one surprise feature for you. You can expect Beta versions of specified features in May itself and after their final release, we will work on Attachments and custom templates. Meanwhile instead of custom templates, you can take help of Duplicate feature to create copies of your customized items.
19. Hello, here ist my question: When I saved my identity in enpass, ist it possible to fill out forms automaticly, for example, if I want to buy anything from an internet-shop? I mean, name, adress, phone-number etc.? Thanks for your answer.
20. Hello, is it possible to autofill applications like Steam, vSphere Client, Origin, Putty, Microsoft Remote Desktop ... with Enpass? Best Regards
21. Hi Dave, The extra permissions are required by the Enpass for extra functionalities offered. No matters, even if we have to consume a minimalistic capability of permission set, you'll be prompted to grant permission for whole set. As you've asked, here are the details of the extra permissions required by the app at the time of installation. Access to text messages - This permission is used to send an SMS directly from Details screen of Enpass item. Used by the fields of type Phone Number. Browser - As you may know Enpass for Windows Phone has an inbuilt browser for the autofill functionality. So, in order to access the browser components, this capability is required. Phone - To use the call/phone services of the device, this functionality is required. It is also used by the fields of type Phone Number from the Details screen. Also there are two more capabilities which Enpass requires which are: Network access - It is used when 'Backup and Restore over WiFi' service is used by Enpass. In this case, Enpass acts as local server and the data can be backup or restored by the Web Browser on the PC. Removable Storage - As there is option for Backup and Restore from the Local Storage of the device, this permission helps Enpass to access the removable storage and store or access the Enpass data from there. Hope this information is helpful to you. In case of further queries, please contact us again.
22. Yeah I agree with @steelew. We should embed autofill into user's keyboard.
23. Thanks a lot guys for joining our Forum and sharing your views. Yes it true that we are working on another alternative for Autofill without using Enpass keyboard and will be through the notifications. But it will gonna take some more time in implementing features for generating and saving passwords in Enpass keychain.
24. True. I heard the Enpass team is doing something to enhance the autofill without requiring to change to enpass keyboard. Hopefully, the update will release soon to save all the troubles of changing keyboard.
