formerflyboy Posted December 31, 2019 Report Posted December 31, 2019 So I have the premium subscription on my Android app. My desktop syncs the backup files to MEGA which is then synced to my phone. When I attempt to restore the file to my Android (Google Pixel 3 XL with the latest version of Android) it asks for the Master Password but when I enter it the app tells me the password is incorrect. Am I missing something or is there an error happening when the backup file is saved? Thanks... Jeffrey Day formerflyboy@gmail.com
Kashish Posted January 2, 2020 Report Posted January 2, 2020 Hey @formerflyboy Welcome to the forums. When you enable the sync with a cloud account, Enpass encrypts the local data with the Master password and then uploads the encrypted file on the cloud account. So while restoring the file on your Android device, please make sure you are entering the correct master password (the same password of Enpass app you are using on your Desktop). Thanks.
formerflyboy Posted January 4, 2020 Author Report Posted January 4, 2020 That is the password I am using and it just keeps telling me the password is incorrect.
Pratyush Sharma Posted January 15, 2020 Report Posted January 15, 2020 Hi, Sorry for the trouble you are going through. Please try to restore your database using the WiFi restore option and let us know if the issue persists. Thanks!
Patneu Posted February 8, 2020 Report Posted February 8, 2020 Maybe you made an error that you didn't realise? You could try to switch your phone to horizontal orientation (to get a keyboard more similar to your PC) and try again. You could also check if you accidentally added any superfluous signs leading or trailing your password? You may also be missing a key file you use to login on your PC. Also you should make sure you're not confusing the password for your Enpass vault and the one for your cloud storage service.
Lorenz Posted July 30, 2020 Report Posted July 30, 2020 Did you manage to fix this? I have the same problem. I sync my vault file on my Mac to my own Dropbox (not via the Dropbox-Sync since that would leak Dropbox credentials to Enpass) and then try to open it on my Android phone. I then keep getting an "incorrect master password" error, but I am 100% sure I entered it correctly (several times).
Garima Singh Posted July 31, 2020 Report Posted July 31, 2020 Hey @Lorenz Welcome to the forum and sorry for the inconvenience caused. Please share the following details so that we can investigate where the problem could be. Which Enpass version are you using on each device? Are you able to access all Enpass data on your macOS device? Thanks!
Diogo Paschoal Posted September 8, 2020 Report Posted September 8, 2020 (edited) Hi there. Same problem for me. Starting this week. Didn't changed master password in any of them. OS: Ubuntu 20.04 Enpass: 6.5.0.707 OS: IPadOS 13.6.1 Enpass: 6.5.0 (473) Edited September 8, 2020 by Diogo Paschoal Complementary information.
winfield Posted September 9, 2020 Report Posted September 9, 2020 (edited) Hi there. Unfortunately, I have the same problem. i use the correct master password but it just indicates it's wrong. I want to delete this account and register a new one. Edited September 9, 2020 by winfield
Garima Singh Posted September 9, 2020 Report Posted September 9, 2020 Hey @winfield We regret the inconvenience. Firstly, there is an issue with OneDrive sync that has been identified at our end. The fix for it will be available pretty soon when we release a new update for Enpass on Windows and Mac. For futher clarity on the issue, please share the below details: Which Enpass version are you using on each device? Which cloud are you using? @Diogo Paschoal If you are facing the error while syncing with a cloud account, then let us know which cloud you are using. Thanks. 1
winfield Posted September 9, 2020 Report Posted September 9, 2020 Thanks @Garima Singh It seems I didn't make it clear. I wrote the master password down on my notebook while registering enpass, now I can't log in with this master password, it realyy makes me feel bad. Can you help me to delete this account?
Kashish Posted September 9, 2020 Report Posted September 9, 2020 @winfield Thanks for the reply. On which device are you facing this issue? And, did you face this issue after a recent update of Enpass? Share the Enpass version you are using presently.
winfield Posted October 30, 2020 Report Posted October 30, 2020 Thanks @Kashish On both windows and iphone it's the same problem. I haven't updated this APP for a long time. The version is 6.5.2, you can refer to the attached picture. Thanks.
