I think it's kind of the same issue like:

As soon such an API is available the people can create tools, scripts and plug-ins as a workaround until official tools are available.

I've been using a CLI to Enpass for some time based on a project found here which worked great till the DB change in version 6.0  The project owner has voiced he's no longer interested in maintaining the project and is looking to hand it off to someone interested.  I really haven't done much with cryptography but if Enpass is willing to offer a hand and work together I think most of the work is already there and shouldn't take to much to update the code to the latest version.  What say you @Anshu kumar?

Hey Guys,

Thanks for letting us know that you would like to see support for the same. Significant user demand is a big factor that determines our priorities. We really appreciate you for exploring the app and giving time in finding this valuable suggestion. The suggestion has been noted and forwarded to the concerned team.

Thanks.

Glad to hear it is being worked on. =) Enpass is already perhaps the most polished password manager for linux and adding a cli client would make it trivial to implement a autotype feature for linux desktops.
