bu11etpr00f Posted November 1, 2016 Report Posted November 1, 2016 It would be nice to be able to create, change, edit the Types / Category Templates in Enpass. Currently I use mSecure, but am looking to make a switch. I really like that mSecure is more like a custom secure database builder than just a secure password saver, and I think Enpass has the potential to be better than mSecure, but being able to edit the Types / Category Templates is one thing Enpass desperately needs. I know you can add fields to each item when you create them, but I'd really like to set custom templates for items to use and get rid of the ones I don't want. Currently I have over 2000 items in mSecure, most of which use custom item templates. I would like to use Enpass to do the same. Unfortunately mSecure has become over-priced when using multiple platforms, and currently utilizes over 90% CPU usage in macOS 10.12 Sierra when sitting idle. I think it might also be lacking in support. 6
DustinDauncey Posted November 2, 2016 Report Posted November 2, 2016 +1 I was actually going to submit a feature request just like this. So I'm happy to see this posted. :-) I find too many unnecessary fields in various templates that I'd like to change for defaults.
Anshu kumar Posted November 3, 2016 Report Posted November 3, 2016 Hi guys, Thanks for your suggestion. The feature of custom categories and templates are already in our roadmap for future version. Cheers! 2
gmaddry Posted February 17, 2017 Report Posted February 17, 2017 Good to hear that this feature is on the roadmap. Would it be possible to post your roadmap? Not a timeline. I would understand a roadmap is not a commitment to a feature.
Jeff T. Posted April 13, 2017 Report Posted April 13, 2017 +1 Came here to request user-specified Categories. I signed up to participate in the betas, hopefully you can provide a questimate. 1
LA6507 Posted April 14, 2017 Report Posted April 14, 2017 I signed up to request this feature, as well. Looks like folks have been asking for this feature for quite some time and I have been waiting on it for about a year since mSecure's dev team has not been interested in responding to my feature requests. This product dev team and community are much more active by comparison. So, Enpass, are you all getting close to implementing this feature in Beta?
Kods Posted August 11, 2017 Report Posted August 11, 2017 (edited) I'm evaluating the trial version and stuck on this missing feature, I'm not sure I can use this app without the ability to add my custom category Edited August 11, 2017 by Kods
kgurr Posted November 28, 2017 Report Posted November 28, 2017 This is an urgently needed feature! The categories / templates needs to be flexible... One year ago it was said, that this feature is comming... when, please? 1
Peter_S Posted January 2, 2018 Report Posted January 2, 2018 Have been using Enpass for a few years and really find it invaluable. I agree with earlier comments regarding the ability to either edit or add categories. This would be really useful and I hope it's coming very soon. When will it be available?? I'm wanting to create an 'OLD' category so that I can move over various details which have been replaced - eg Credit card details, bank details. By putting these into an 'OLD' category then keeps the 'Finance' category neater and easier to manage but enables me to keep the out of date info.
Guest Akash Vyas Posted January 2, 2018 Report Posted January 2, 2018 Hey guys, I've got some good news here. These features have already been implemented in the development tree of the next major update Enpass 6. However, assuring an exact ETA just doesn't seem right, not yet. Thanks for your patience.
mtollin Posted May 7, 2018 Report Posted May 7, 2018 Just switched from old SPB to your pro version. Was I surprised to find this wasn't available. PLEASE implement it!
pepto Posted May 15, 2018 Report Posted May 15, 2018 (edited) Can you give us an update about when we can expect this update? thank you. Edited May 15, 2018 by pepto

Anshu kumar Posted May 15, 2018 Report Posted May 15, 2018 Hi @pepto It won't be much longer! The beta of Enpass 6 will be released by the end of this month. Cheers! 2
Stelios Posted March 2, 2019 Report Posted March 2, 2019 (edited) Is this feature available? I can not find it in android app. If not, it's a shame not implementing such a useful and simple feature after 3 years of requests. Edited March 4, 2019 by Stelios
Twoxtix Posted March 2, 2019 Report Posted March 2, 2019 Further to the various suggestions above – it would be really useful to be able to : – edit the names of the standard categories ; – delete custom categories, in addition to simply hiding them.

Roystreet Posted March 19, 2019 Report Posted March 19, 2019 Any idea of when it will come to the Mac app? That's the one I'm interested in...Oh and the iOS app as well.
