Feature requests

This is NOT about just turning off Enpass for passkey support in the browser. I would like the option to make Enpass always answer any request for Passkey creation with a negative response. That way I hope to be never asked again whether I want to create a Passkey. The background here is that Passkeys are an improvement for people who otherwise reuse insecure passwords, but are a net-negative security tradeoff for everyone else. Many jurisdictions (the US, UK, and Germany for example) have exempted "taking biometrics by force" from constitutional protection against self-incrimination. A Single click on the Icon in the Toolbar opens up the small Enpass window. Before a double click did open Enpass completely. I'm missing this Feature and a right click and select show assistant is just meh. Please bring back the double click, to open Enpass fully. Thank you

Use wildcards to urls Hi i have a suggestion for the autocomplete. I have saved the login credentials for the desktop version of a site e.g. (www.facebook.com) when i try to login from my phone it gives me the mobile version of the site (m.facebook.com) and enpass cannot find the login credentials. My suggest is that the autofill to be able to recognize and use wildcards for the url e.g. (*.facebook.com)

I would like to be able to add Custom Categories. Right now I want a 2nd or overflow category for logins and software licenses that I use less frequently. The problem that I'm really trying to solve is that I have a lot of stuff (mainly logins) saved in Enpass. I made myself a "rarely used" vault, but then I have one other vault that I use even less. It would also be helpful to be able to select and work with more than one vault, but not all of them. (The currently options seem to be one or all).

Steam implements TOTP with a different alphabet. The basic algorithm seems to be the same as usual TOTP, but the representation of the token is different. An example implementation can be found here: https://gist.github.com/mooop12/1af7f0ffc8f28ea76f27abcba1e6da01 It would be cool if Enpass added support for these token types (maybe even as part of Enpass 6? :-) ) To not clutter the UI, maybe you could take the road of Bitwarden which uses a URL scheme to support different token types (no schema = default TOTP token, special token however could be steam://xyz123abc456).

Hi! I was wondering if should be possible to have (for redundancy) a feature that allows for simultaneous synchronization to different cloud providers, instead of only one. This could be an option for having the maximum redundancy in case something goes wrong

Any chance in a future update you could give us the option to change the colors of the password characters? Or just remove the color entirely? Some of the characters are difficult to see when dark mode is enabled on Mac and iPhone. Additionally, it would be nice if the view larger option on iOS was actually larger. Right now the little popup window that appears show the letters in almost the same size as they are in the normal password field. Thanks!

Hi Enpass team, As the title says, I'm looking for better support for touch/tablet mode interaction on Windows. Currently, when I invoke my Enpass Vault in Tablet Mode (via a shortcut in my Tablet Pro Studio Radial Menu), tapping the search entry doesn't invoke the touch keyboard reliably, requiring me to manually invoke it via another shortcut in my radial menu: Please fix this and make Enpass's UI flexible enough to adapt to touch input on Windows. Could you please add Auto or System default mode for theme, so the app can follow theme currently set in the system? This way it will be possible to use light/dark theme automatically depending on the theme in the system itself.

Hello. Perhaps this is already possible, and if so, maybe you could instruct me how to do this. I would like to be able to use Enpass in the DuckDuckGo web browsers; both the mobile versions, and the relatively new PC version. Thank you for your consideration. BTW: I'd like to mention that a major reason I chose Enpass is because I was able to make a one-time purchase, and was not required to sign up for a never-ending subscription. Pressing a button is much quicker than clicking on the eye symbol. It would be nice if the protected items could be made readable with a function key - e.g. F12.

Please add the ability to Export Selected Items to CSV. This would be a really great thing to have in order to share certain information with a Customer / Family Member / Friend / Coworker / etc. I use Enpass to track assets, and not just passwords. It would be nice to Export Specific "Selected" ones to CSV (or something in a Human Readable Format). Thanks!

Dear sir/madam, Greetings! I have encountered an issue with holding automatic backups. Initially, I was able to maintain the automatic backup without any problems. However, after resetting my admin password for AMG Steel Factory, I reconfigured the automatic backup settings, and it worked well. But after resetting my admin password for the third time and reconfiguring the backup accordingly, it stopped functioning properly. This issue seems to be specific to AMG Steel Factory, as the automatic backup works perfectly fine at other companies. What do you think might be causing this issue? Currently, Enpass locks automatically after a short period of non-usage. When the environment in which I am using Enpass is safe, such as in my home, it is annoying to have to unlock frequently. I propose that users be allowed to choose how long Enpass will remain unlocked due to non-usage.

Please add the option to view the password you entered on the login to Enpass screen. Often when logging in, I enter the incorrect password and can't see what I entered.

I find Enpass Portable, which is now available in version 6.6.1, very handy and useful as part of Enpass product portfolio. And it also works fine with enpasskey enabled. Any idea when can we expect Enpass Portable version update to the same level with Enpass 6.11. series ?

Enpass has a convenient feature for saving Passkey, but it can be a hassle for users who want to use a physical security key. Specifically, when you want to register a new authentication key to a hardware security key, Enpass responds immediately to the registration dialog, and the Enpass unlock dialog appears on top. To register to a hardware security key, you need to cancel this and choose whether to save to the OS or the hardware security key. To make matters worse, some websites give up on registering Passkey as soon as you close the Enpass dialog. I really appreciate the existing support for Linux but a further big improvement would be creating a flatpak version for use on any distribution. Especially now we are getting immutable distros that are only intended for use with Flatpaks. They seem to be the wave of the future.

Did the product group take a closer look into the CTAP2-spec i.e. so that we can use Enpass as an external authenticator on a smartphone while logging into a website on a different device. The scenario is the following user navigates to a website (i.e. github, any google-workspace or o365 app etc) app triggers passwordless auth user scans qr-code (or app triggers ctap handshake through nfc/ble) with enpass on smartphone and finishes login In that scenario it wouldn't be necessary to install enpass on the device, that triggers the login. Hello I have quite a few services running on the same ip address of my servert but with different ports. unfortunately enpass does not make a difference there. Would it be possible to change that?

I am really enjoying Enpass. I switched from Bitwarden about 6 months ago. I had been with Bitwarden about a year after ditching Google Password Manager. I am very very pleased overall with this product. But one thing about it just doesn't make sense for how I use it: I have no desire to use any of the category functionality at all. This is fine on desktop; I can pretty much just hide it & forget it. But on Android, it is stuck there, in your face, unmovable. So my request is simply to let me hide the categories. Enpass' passkey support is still very basic and lacks certain features that make it very inconvenient to use. I would like to see the following improvements: I don't want to re-type my master passwort if Enpass is already unlocked (desktop version). For a password I can just fill it out by selecting it from the list or dropdown. It should be that easy with a Passkey, too. Put a confirmation button there and only ask for authentication when Enpass is locked. 2fa codes are automatically copied to the clipboard after choosing a password entry.
