Feature requests

Hi and thanks for your work. When i create a new account in a website, the browser module ask me if i want to register the new account in Enpass. It's very good ! But if i want to add this account in a category, i must go in the application and move it after. I think it would be best to choose the category we want directly in the browser module. Can you add this feature please? Thanks in advance!

This error dialog pops up randomly. I don't know what caused it but it doesn't seems that I am having any issue with Enpass. It annoyed me when I am gaming or working. It is Enpass 5.6.2 for Windows. I installed it through Microsoft Store. I would be appreciated if you could fix this issue. Thank you

Hello, Here is a proposal to enhance security mainly for cloud/webdav users but not only : The goal of 2FA is to have two different things to use for authentication (basicaly something we know, something we have, ect...) As such, I feel that storing 2FA and passwords in the same storage renders 2FA completely useless. Wouldn't it be better if it was possible to split passwords and 2FA data in different files in a different location ? or even having two different apps. Here is the problem: On PC, I use Microsoft IME Keyboard which Microsoft default way of handling eastern languages such as Japanese. When creating or modifying certain fields and most specifically the title, the IME input mode is scrambled: - initially shows romaji as input in language bar - inputs hiragana as text - shows hiragana as input in language bar only after input is validated by pushing enter or erasing everything I use Microsoft IME in my daily life but this is the only case/application …

I'm missing the support for the "file"-scheme in the URL field. I can enter an URL like "file:///home/andre/myFile" but the link only works with Web-URLs. If you could also add the feature to send the password, username, etc. as an optional param on the call, this could be very powerfull to start local apps with the data from enpass. Keepass have such a feature (https://keepass.info/help/base/autourl.html)

I've recently migrated from Keepass. One thing I miss is the ability to copy a password to clipboard using CMD+C... any chance this could be added in a future version? On Linux, Enpass configuration information is saved to: /home/<user>/Documents/Enpass This is very "Windowsy". In keeping with the spirit of Linux, it should be saved to: /home/<user>/.enpass

Dear all, I am wondering whether there are any plans from your side to support using the Enpass Chrome extension without the Desktop app? I am coming from Bitwarden and LastPass and was surprised to see that I cannot just use the Enpass Chrome extension but need an additional Desktop app to use it. Looking forward to your replies! I would like to have more control over the password generator algorithm, both at a general level and, ideally, at a "card" level to cope with sites which limit what is and is not allowed. I use Folders extensively and have hundreds of items in Enpass. It is difficult to find those cards that I have setup but have not got assigned to a folder. Having the option to switch on and off a folder in the list to show these unallocated items would be extremely useful - alternatively, having a feature to show unallocated items in a separate list and allowing them to be allocated to folders would be another approach that would help in these situations.

I've just found enpass and love it, it's a first class app. One feature that I would find useful would be to remote wipe a device. Perhaps something could be stored in the shared file to force a wipe and block devices for extra security. Thanks Rich

First I am very impressed with your product, approach and openness with your customers. I am converting myself and hopefully my clients from a competing product after they have changed their approach to a proprietary cloud first approach. Once nice feature often used by my clients was the ability to print to hard copy the entire database from the desktop version. It seems like I might be able to do the same with your product but I have to export it to txt first, which worries me that someone might leave the export file on their computer by accident. Do you think you could add a simple print feature under the file menu in the Windows desktop product? Might be nice…

Function to add a new password Please include the function to add a new password after logging in to enpass through auto fill notification. Currently i can only search for existing and cannot add a new entry.

[Android] Floating mode/dialog When using the notification option for autofill, the entire Enpass app has to be opened. Could you perhaps introduce a dialog that draws on top to avoid exiting the currently opened app? Kind of like how you do it with the traditional Windows client, or like how Lastpass does it:

Auto copy TOTP Password after Login Automatic copy TOTP (Onetime Password) when one availible after dubble click on Enpass Item and login to website. This will speed up logging in with an TOPT.

I would like to see that once you have searched for an item in the top right corner that perhaps after a min it clears automatically just like the clear clipboard after 30 secs. Small thing I know but often I miss that I searched and wonder where all my things have gone So yeah it would be nice to have a setting so you can choose to clear the search or not after x amount of seconds.

Enpass should not require the user to manually click on "Save" button when editing an item to save the changes. Sometimes after I've made an edit, I do something else for a while and then Enpass quickly locks itself. After unlocking Enpass I might just accidentally click on "close" on the item currently being edited and thus lose my edits. Enpass should really auto-save the item with a certain time interval, or at least maintain a reversible history. It's great to have a password history (after you actually saved the password, apparently), but if I edited something but somehow didn't manually save it, I'd be in huge troubles. Would appreciate very much a dark theme in Enpass. What is the development status of the dark theme support? Is it in the current roadmap at all?

enpass is my favorite app now, i bought it after few hours trying. good work guys. there is a problem bother me. there is no perfect solution for me when i try to save my ssh public/private key. password field and text field not long enough. the text looks "exploded". i tried the note field, look fine. but i can not copy the text easily from mobile. can you guys add a multiple lines text field to resolve this?

Hello, me, some friends and my family need a better sync... We want a sync with our server with ftp or better sftp.. Is it already possible or is it planned ? When it is not possible and not planned, WHY... Its a very good feature (and easy to implement). Greetings, False

Can this use spideroak to sync?

If not mistaken it used to be possible (till 5.6.0) for the user to manually specify/select the location of the data/backup folder. It is rather incomprehensible why such ability has been removed with v5.6.2 and the locations now being hard-coded in the app? The user should be able without question to choose where to such sensitive date (never mind the encryption) is being stored as opposed to the app dictating it.
