Arc browser: extension popup disappears after 0.5s

I am using the latest Enpass 6.11.3 (1773) with browser extension 6.11.0 on Arc Version 1.60.0 (53678).

After a while the password completion popup disappears so fast that it is impossible to choose a completion in the popup. Also the enpass icon in the username field seems to blink on and off its lock signal. It appears as if the extension regularly (every 0.5s) becomes unauthenticated which makes the popup disappear.

Here is an excerpt of the log:

```
Greetings from Enpass
15/09/2024, 16:37:23 : Self Initiating srp.
15/09/2024, 16:37:23 : Authentication not required
15/09/2024, 16:37:23 : Message parsed successfully
15/09/2024, 16:37:23 : srp in progress
...
15/09/2024, 16:37:23 : nothing received
```

After restarting arc it works again for approx 30min (or maybe until the computer goes to sleep).

Any help would be appreciated.

Also note that using the enpass assistant style form filling does not work at all once it starts acting up. If I am super fast and manage to select the browser based popup completion before it vanishes, then form filling does work.

This is super frustrating.

Same issue here, happened after upgrading to macOS Sequoia, using Arc Browser.

Force quitting Enpass and restarting it helps for a couple of minutes.

While we are trying to replicate the issue, could you please try reloading the page, as the Enpass icon should appear. Additionally, check that the option "Ask for browser authentication every time" is enabled in the browser settings within Enpass.

If the problem persists, please provide a screen recording if possible?

Experiencing this on latest Google Chrome, MacOS Sequoia 15.1

I have "Ask for browser authentication every time" disabled (I don't want it enabled).

Here's a recording. I notice it flickers back and forth between showing my results and showing the "Click to unlock Enpass" popup. I think Enpass can't make up its mind about whether it is unlocked or not.

Please let me know if there's anything I can do to help the devs investigate the issue. I'm a software dev by profession and can find my way around debugging tools. I'm willing to get on a call if that helps.

The behavior in the given recording is exactly the same with my setup (newest Chrome Browser on Mac OS Sonoma 14.6.1)

The Enpass entries are displayed for <1sec and whenever the white "lock icon" is displayed (I assume, this comes form the browser) and overlaying the Enpass Icon, the entries (dropdown) disappear.

I'm having the same issue. Very annoying. My current workaround is to disable the extension and enabling it again. I hope Enpass will find a solution rapidly.

MacOS: Sequoia 15.0.1
Browser: Brave v1.70.126
Enpass: 6.11.3

Note this is still occurring in my browser after yesterday's Enpass update (14 Oct 2024).

Quitting / relaunching the main Enpass app fixes the issue momentarily.

I'm glad the technical team is looking into it. Here's another data point:

  • Mac OS 14.5
  • Brave Version 1.70.123 and
  • Vivaldi Version 6.9.3447.55
  • Enpass Password Manager 6.11.0
  • Enpass 6.11.4 (1803)

My workaround: Go to the Extensions page in the browser. Disable then re-enable the Enpass extension. Go back to the page you're trying to sign into and refresh it.

This happens very sporadically, in seemingly random web sites, and has been happening for several weeks.

No issues in Firefox.

Looking forward to a fix... thanks!

I'm having quite the same problem but it only happens after multiple sleeps.

If I quit and reopen Enpass it works perfectly fine. Then I put my Macbook in sleep. Upon wake Enpass asks for fingerprint authentication, again no problem. But if I put my Macbook to sleep a second time the Enpass extension doesn't work anymore. Then I have to close Enpass and reopen it again.
