Maclife Posted November 6, 2024 Report Posted November 6, 2024 Hey since upgrading to Mac OS 15 Sequoia Enpass is not working anymore with Passkeys If I am on a webpage where I have a passkey saved in Enpass and I want to login to the URL I just get the popup in the attached screenshot. I cannot choose enpass anymore to be used to fill out the passkey. The only possibility now is to use my iPhone and then scan the barcode that is displayed on the Mac (safari and firefox) and then use my iPhone to pass the passkey to the browser. Is there a workaround for this or a fix ??
Tarun Singh Rawat Posted November 12, 2024 Report Posted November 12, 2024 Please ensure sure the "Manage Passkey" option is enabled in the Enpass extension settings. Additionally, could you provide the following details: The URL of the website you're using The version of Enpass you're using, and whether it's the website or store version Are you experiencing this issue in all browsers or only in a specific one? Please specify the browser.
Maclife Posted November 13, 2024 Author Report Posted November 13, 2024 I have tried it on Mac OS in the latest Firefox and Safari versions. Manage Passkeys is enabled I am using the latest Enpass version from the Apple App Store. What I realized in Mac OS system preferences it is not possible to switch these fields to Enpass. Which is possible on iOS. So maybe there is the issue. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall Enpass already which did no changes at all
chickenlover Posted November 13, 2024 Report Posted November 13, 2024 can confirm same on macos safari with latest OS, not being prompted for passkey any longer...only apple passkey works
jd71 Posted November 14, 2024 Report Posted November 14, 2024 Same problem here with macos 14.7.1 Enpass 6.11.4 (Appstore) Firefox 128.4.0esr + Enpass Extension 6.0.0.68b Enpass is not listed as an option in System Settings > Passwords > Password Options > AutoFill from.
Maclife Posted November 14, 2024 Author Report Posted November 14, 2024 any updates on this topic. this is really annoying that u are not able to login to webpages with Passkeys.
Tarun Singh Rawat Posted November 20, 2024 Report Posted November 20, 2024 I've reported this issue to the technical team. They are currently investigating it, and I will reach out to you with updates as soon as I receive them. #SI-4128
Tarun Singh Rawat Posted November 25, 2024 Report Posted November 25, 2024 Please provide the below details: On which website(s) are you experiencing the issue? What is the creation date of the passkey you are using to sign in?

Tarun Singh Rawat Posted January 6 Report Posted January 6 The technical team is still investigating the issue and working on a solution. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to resolve it.
Heracles Posted February 6 Report Posted February 6 Following this because I too would like to use Passkeys from Enpass directly instead of Mac OS X's passkeys or iphone + scan.
chickenlover Posted February 18 Report Posted February 18 tried to use passkey on protonmail and it launches apple native passkey still even when extension is checked for passkey. is this resolved yet?
jd71 Posted March 21 Report Posted March 21 @Tarun Singh Rawat Could you please report on the progress? I'm currently loosing faith in Enpass, not being able to resolve such a problem in a timely manner. It's obviously not an individual problem of a single user, but affects many (if not all) macos users.
Maclife Posted March 21 Author Report Posted March 21 Yea it is so annoying I have reported this issue over half a year ago and still no workaround fix or update
Amandeep Kumar Posted March 24 Report Posted March 24 Our technical team has acknowledged the issue and is actively working on a solution. Fixing this bug may take some time, and the resolution will be included in the upcoming updates of the application. We appreciate your patience and understanding

I too am having the same problem. Frustrating because I can no longer use passkeys. Wishing the technical team good speed for a fix!
caspergsht42 Posted May 2 Report Posted May 2 (edited) Has there been any progress on this, it would be nice to be able to store ones passkeys in enpass? Edit: Looks like the firefox extension will allow it. Edited May 2 by caspergsht42
Tarun Singh Rawat Posted May 20 Report Posted May 20 The technical team is still working on the issue. We will update you as soon as it is resolved.
Maclife Posted June 19 Author Report Posted June 19 really sad that this topic is still not solved yet. It is been more than 7 months already
meliot Posted August 25 Report Posted August 25 Team, what is the status of this issue? We've been waiting since almost one year and this is a core feature for a password manager. When can we expect the Passkeys to work properly on macOS+Safari? Can we get an official team update ? I'm kind of surprised this bug is not a priority for the Enpass team, and not advertised on the Enpass's website homepage as a temporarily technical issue. This bug is forcing people to switch to a different password manager as there are no workarounds. Switching browser just for the lack of this feature is not doable, and we're locked out of our accounts that are using passkeys. Why this was not prioritized yet? This is bad customer oriented development.
jd71 Posted August 25 Report Posted August 25 I actually have no confidence, that this issue will be resolved any more. That is especially bitter for a "premium product" with a recuring fee. One could expect better support from that. As @meliot already pointed out, people are switching to different password managers - and so do I now. I was a long-time enthusiast of this product but the lack of support, especially with this issue, killed my faith. Farewell Enpass...
Tarun Singh Rawat Posted August 27 Report Posted August 27 We absolutely understand that a solution on this has been delayed. Unfortunately, the problem isn't consistent and that makes it difficult for our team to reproduce and fix permanently. Rest assured, we are pushing for a resolution on priority and will get back with something concrete at the soonest. We thank you for your understanding and trust in Enpass.
