Autofilling and Desktop Browser Extensions

Is there a way to automatically enter the 2 factor authentication code for a website. Here are the steps I currently take on my IPhone: Open Enpass. Select the site I want to log into. Click the website link to open the website Enter my username/email. Put the cursor in the password field. This brings up a section just above my keyboard that says - for this website - Enpass. If I click that section, it automatically enters my password for that site. Then I click Sign In and a field appears to enter a code. Hi, I'm using Enpass on a Windows 7 Environment. Enpass Version 5.6.5 Firefox Version 59.0.1 (64 bit) Plugin Version 5.5.2 Autofill works in Firefox, but I have to wait about 20 seconds until the username and password gets filled in. It doesn't make a difference whether I use the plugin icon or the context menu. After the element is chosen nothing happens for about 20 seconds. Then the credentials get autofilled. Is this a known issue? I didn't find any forum topic for this... Best regards, Ruppel

Hi Guys, please give us an option to AutoFill TOTP as well that will make the whole sign-in process more seamless. EDIT: Found an option which automatically copies TOTP after the login. I hope it's available on the Android App too.

I'm a new user to Enpass for Mac and I like it so far. I have upgraded to the pro version on my Mac and iOS devices. While I prefer it over Roboform, I keep running into an issue with when it comes to Safari on my Mac. Whenever I login to a site Enpass doesn't offer to save my webform/login. Roboform which I still have does howeve,r and no matter what I do Enpass doesn't not unless I manually save. I have it unlocked in the background, I'm up to date with version 6 but I'm not sure what else I need to do to get it to work. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hi, I use Safari and a Wacom Tablet. When I want to open Enpass via Browser Extension, I usualy click on it and it should open the window instantly. Well that's what I want, but it's not working that way. I have to click on it a second time, then Enpass opens. (I'm not talking about double-clickin') Can anybody change that behaviour or is it a bug? It's very annoying.... Thanks Mauko

Hello, I'm using the Enpass chrome extension for Mac, so there exists some pages where Enpass extension doesn't work as expected. The user is not copied to the field, but the password does without any issue. The workflow for this page is similar to Amazon, where first is shown a field for the user name, then after submit there is shown other page with the password field. I can't paste the URL because your forum complains about spam. I hope you can fix this. Best regards.

Is Enpass 6 going to support Opera with an extension? The last Opera extension release was for Enpass 5 in 2017. I don't mind waiting, as long as I know the extension is coming before too long.

I have 3 computers and only on one of them I can get enpass to behave as expected. On the two others I can not get autofill in Chrome to work if the login details don't have a website field with an url. Nothing happens when I double click the entry I searched in the extension - no login details are autofilled. But if I edit the entry in enpass desktop and add the url, autofilling in the extension works. If I do the same on my computer which works, autofill works and the extension then asks to save this url for this entry. The settings are identical on each of these 3 computers and all of them are using 6.0.2 (241) of enpass

Since upgrading to version 6 in, November/December don't remember exactly, I've been having a few issues i didn't have previously and after working with Enpass and specifically the chrome extension for a while these are the things that still annoy me today. 1. When first installing the Extension in Chrome the Shortcut key (ctrl+/) doesn't work. I have to go into the extensions settings and rebind it to (Ctrl+/) before it will work. I currently use SafeInCloud but have purchased the mobile apps for both that and Enpass. SiC can't unlock the browser extension with TouchID on my laptop. Before I purchase the new Enpass desktop app, can anyone confirm that its browser extensions can?

Hello, I have filled an identity in Enpass (also the email address and the birthday). The birthday is in format dd.mm.yyyy. When I go to the German Facebook page (https://de-de.facebook.com/) and fill the page with the identity, then only the first email address is filled. Hello, on Opera on Arch Linux, Autofill doesn't want to open anymore, it was working few days ago. Enpass 6.0 will not autofill on my chromebook, either from the main app or from the Chrome browser extension. When trying to open the browser extension, I get the error message "Enpass Assistant is unable to connect with the Enpass app." The browser extension worked just fine on my previous version of Enpass before it was updated to version 6. I have uninstalled the browser extension and reinstalled it without success. What's going on?

How safe are the Chrome, Edge, and Firefox extensions for Enpass? I ask because I've read so much lately about security issues regarding browser extensions and how hackers are finding ways to hack into them.

Hi there, can someone please tell me how I can you remove erroneously chosen autofill usernames from the list of autofill usernames? for example, when choosing a by Enpass presumed username when logging in to a website, this choice is stored in autofill. later it turns out to be the wrong choice and I have to change my choice. I now have two choices when logging in through autofill. Thnx for your help, marc

I have a few Joomla installations with 2FA and they all have the same problem when 2FA is activated. When the login screen of the back-end of Joomla appears in Firefox I choose the login entry from the Enpass plugin. What I see is that the userid and password are filled in for a short while and then they are blanked out again before I can paste the totp code. It looks like Enpass is trying to login automatically, although in the settings I blanked out the automatic login. Could you please help me with this problem? The same problem occurs in Google Chrome, but in Edge I don't have any problem.

Hello, I logged in at Trello (German UI) and Enpass asked to store the new login (I accepted). Then I activated 2FA for Trello, opened the Android App of Enpass and scanned the 2FA code. When I log into Trello and double-click the entry "Trello" in the Enpass Browser Extension in Google Chrome then my username and password is filled in. I get to the next page where I have to enter the 2FA code. If I double-click the entry "Trello" then the 2FA code is not filled. After clicking the Amazon entry in the Firefox/Chrome Browser Plugin it opens a new page and I see the login fields but it does not fill the fields. I have to tap CTRL and # or reselect the entry. For other sites after clicking on the entry it opens the page and I will automatically be logged in.

There is a known problem with Enpass 6.0 and Sophos, and I am aware of the work-around. However, the work-around is not always applicable when Sophos is centrally managed. Enpass 5.6.9 did not have this problem, so it is clearly possible for Enpass to work without resorting to such workarounds. Is there any timeline for properly resolving this? Matthew

Hi I've been a Enpass user for a year or two on my laptop Linux Mint 18.3, Firefox 64.0. Then late last year after an upgrade my Enpass app just stopped working. I've been without a password manager since. So I've come back to it again, and it looks like version 6 IS working now. I can see all my passwords. BUT I can't find any extension for Firefox. The 'add-on' in Firefox doesn't list one, and the link in the app and on the Enpass web page just take you to installing Enpass on the computer, which I've already got. I went through it all but it just said I had the latest version. Where has the extension gone?

Hi, I'm using Enpass version 5 (for multiple reasons) and I want to get and install browser extensions (for Safari, etc). While with desktop apps there's a link on your website to get previous releases, for Safari browser extension there's no such option. Please provide as I cannot nor want to move to Enpass 6 yet. Since being upgraded to version 6 I am no longer able to use the autofill feature to log into sites. The information is populated into the fields, however, the screen clears and the blank username and password fields are displayed again. This happens whether I have the "Autosubmit Login" box checked or not. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software and Edge extension. Environment info is: Windows 10 release 1809 (17763.195), Microsoft Edge Browser 44.17763.1.0, Enpass PC version 6.0.0 (218), Enpass Edge browser extension 6.0.0.67. Hey guys, I've run into a weird problem. On my net banking, autofill feature triggers the wrong button. Instead of signup, it hits some other button and login doesn't work. Is there any way to "learn" Enpass which button needs to be triggered?

Hello, After upgrading to enpass v6 (which looks very nice btw ), the shortcut ctrl + / does not work anymore. I installed the newest extension for firefox and everything works fine when I press the enpass icon in the toolbar of firefox, but when I try to autofill using the ctrl + / nothing happens. What can I try to solve this problem? Regards Jens Update: I found the issue, after upgrading the default shortcut didn't work, but when I edited it to something else and then back to default it suddenly worked.
