Hi Enpass team, I have been experiencing very persistent crashes on my Ubuntu 19.10 laptops (stock Ubuntu version with latest updates), including a brand new build installed from scratch quite recently. Typically crashes occur when I try to invoke Enpass from Firefox to fill out some login details using the shortcut key; however since upgrading to 6.4.0.631, they've also started to occur without any interaction: I just had it SEGV on me while my session was locked (an Apport notification popped up on the lock screen). This happens on Ubuntu 20.04 When trying to create a new password, the desktop app crashes. Each time I select the 'Generate Password' button, the app crashes. This is what can be seen on the command line. terminate called after throwing an instance of 'utf8::invalid_utf8' what(): Invalid UTF-8 Aborted (core dumped) The same happens when using the password generation in both firefox and chrome extension.

the resulting error appears then i run apt update N: Ignoring file 'enpass-linux.key' in directory '/etc/apt/sources.list.d/' as it has an invalid filename extension N: Ignoring file 'wget-log' in directory '/etc/apt/sources.list.d/' as it has no filename extension i'm completely stumped as to how to resolve this error - please help if possible.

Unfortunately, I can't restore from Dropbox. I'm on Ubuntu 20.04 with current Enpass installed. It just says "Error while restoring data."

I installed enpass using apt-get, saved some passwords. I can copy and paste within enpass itself (i.e. if I copy the password and paste it into comments box of enpass itself, it pastes OK). The copied data doesn't 'leave' enpass though, if I paste into a terminal window, the previously present clipboard content is available, enpass one is not. If I use Ctrl-C of visible content in enpass (anything but using the copy icon), this works fine. I short, the tool is not working. I installed xclip, as some posts suggested to no avail.

Hi i have a strange behaviour of Enpass. I have a brand new Fedora32 install. Enpass configured so far so good. So i check: autostart on login feature. Next time when i logged in after reboot i got just black screen nothing happens. So after figure out some stuff i deleted step after step all autostart apps and gotcha after i deleted Enpass from autostart login is possible. After login i can start Enpass no Problem but just when i let Enpass start automatically black screen. I use Fedora32 with Appindicator extension. Nothing really special i think. Any ideas what causes this issue?

I'm using Enpass without problems on Linux (at present with Pop_Os 20.04 64 Bit, Ubuntu 20.04 based), Android 10 and Windows 10. In Linux, I'm running Enpass 6.4.1.643 from apt.enpass.io with two vaults attached, one restored from G Drive and one from Dropbox without any problem. Now I tried to add and restore a third vault from Dropbox. When I try to restore it, after permissions be granted from Dropbox page and the redirection happens back to Enpass I only get "error restoring data" in Enpass. I tried Firefox and Chromium with same result. I tried under Windows 10 and no problem at all, the vault is restored perfectly. I tried too to activat…

I just installed Enpass from enpass.io on a new Ubuntu 20.04 installation (Gnome desktop). When I try to open it, a black bar with blue lines appears at the bottom of my screen and the system locks up for a while. I've attached a screenshot of the desktop and the ~/.config/sinew.in/Enpass.conf file that executing Enpass creates. (Was previously using Enpass on OpenSUSE 15.2 Tumbleweed with no issues.} Any ideas how I can resolve this?

I go to export select csv and I get a message in red that states 'the attachments will not be exported with this format' which seems like a statement more than a bug.

Hello community, after upgrading my monitor to an super ultra wide on (5120x1440p) Enpass keeps crashing and freezing on startup. If I turn down the resolution to 1080p, then there is no problem and everything works fine. Also running it from the terminal only prints out this Error: "QQmlComponent: Created graphical object was not placed in the graphics scene." Any help is appreciated. I installed npass as directions showed https://www.enpass.io/support/kb/general/how-to-install-enpass-on-linux/ and the program installed as it shows up in the menu however it will not open period when clicked on. I also installed the browser addon and it says it's unable to communicate with the program. This is my first time with this software so I hope I just missed something.

I have disabled anti-aliasing in my Linux system. Now, when I add a new Login-account-card in Enpass and type in a field a text, then the first letter is not fully displayed. Example: For example "I" of the letter "L" is cut off: See attached picture. Any change to solve this bug (for people, who don't like anti-aliasing)? Thank you.

Dear I can't synchronize my enpass with Gdrive. I tried reinstalling enpass with apt purge enpass followed by apt install enpass but that doesn't solve my problem. When I try to synchronize, it seems to tell me that it has no internet access but the PC is on the internet... Best regards

I have installed Fedora 32 64bit and just installed Enpass. When I try to connect to iCloud I get to the part where I have to choose Enpass to open the link (already entered my icloud credentials) and the the wheel in the browser keeps spinning and Enpass is waiting and waiting. But the connection is never established.

I've used enpass for a while now and I gave my email address to unlock some features...here were I am confused.. I installed a new os and installed a new copy of enapass.. in the past i had to restore my database from a local file. Today, when I opened Enapss it prompted me to a password window. I entered my password and next think I was asked for was an email address which I entered and a security code was email to me. After entering the 6 digit code my vault opened up listing all my passwords... I thought passwords are stored locally. obviously they're not. What am I missing here ?

I just set up the rpm installation of enpass on a new install of Fedora 32. I use two different vaults in two Google accounts synced with Google Drive. Setting up the primary vault to sync worked great, clicked the xdg-open dialog and enpass received the auth validation token properly. I'm now setting up the secondary vault and it's failing on the xdg-open redirect. Even though enpass is running at the time waiting for the auth. I've tried both firefox and chrome and they both look like they are not properly submitting the URL to enpass through xdg-open. When I double-click the Enpass tray icon, I get both the Assistant and the Main window. What I want is when I double click on the tray icon, I only want the Main window. This would also be consistent with the MS Windows behavior. Thanks. Enpass v6.4.1 (Linux)

Hello everybody, today i changed my masterpassword for enpass. After that i set up the synchronization on every device I have again. On my android devices and Windows 10 desktop everything was fine, but I have a struggle with Linux Ubuntu and enpass. I wanted to set up the synchronisation but the redirection to enpass after entering my onedrive-password fails. What can I do? Enpass ist just doing nothing after the device is authorized. Web page of enpass is opened in chrome, becaus the page fails loading in firefox.

Hi, As a test I've done the following: Installed Enpass in a Virtual Box. Synced a test vault with a remote WebDAV server. Downloaded the synced files from the WebDAV server to my local computer. Deleted the files from my WebDAV server. Destroyed the Virtual Box along with Enpass and all such data. One of the downloaded files is named "vault.enpassdbsync" and all the others end with ".enpassattach". I got a Nextcloud server running where all of my family has access, I want to introduce Enpass to them all. How should go about doing this? I need to create an shared vault - where should I put it? On my enpass-user and thus on my Nexcloud share? Has anyone done this - and can help me?

Hello, I always use Enpass in the following way: I open Enpass, search for my password, click the button for bringing it into the clipboard. In my Linux, ClipIt as Clipboard is installed. I found out, that it has a history. Isn't this a security problem? If yes, how can I solve it? Thank you.

There is no restore menu point in 6.4.1. Please prove me wrong.

I see no Enpass folder on Drive, even though Enpass is working on my system...
