Hi, I have a small problem with my desktop client in Linux. I have a vault in Onedrive (personal account) and it shows a message that says that the session is expired (see attachments). The process to authenticate/re-authenticate seems to be working fine, but when it returns to Enpass, the error message stays there. I use the same vault from a Windows client and it works fine without any odd messages. I made some tests and at least one time the Linux client got a change made in the Windows client. I have successfully installed Enpass on a newly created mint 22 system. However when I launch Enpass I do not get the Welcome Screen but rather the normal startup screen requesting the password which I haven’t set up yet. Why?

The Enpass Desktop application configured with the Portuguese language does not allow typing of accented characters in the text fields when we try to edit it. However, if we copy any text that contains accented characters and paste in the same text fields, in the Enpass, it allows the insertion of this text normally. How can we do to type accented characters, such as (á, ê, ú), in the Enpass text fields?

So I've been having an odd issue with Linux syncing a vault that syncs fine from Android and iPhone. The vault resides on Nextcloud. I'm receiving error code 1309976 when syncing. I've tried deleting the Enpass folder from Nextcloud, sync from Linux and tell it to restore it. It will sync fine until Android or iPhone syncs the vault then I get the error again. I've tried deleting the vault, restoring from backup, etc. I switched to syncing over WebDAV and I think the error was 309976. So something is going on. Thing is, I have two other vaults that are syncing on the same Nextcloud server using different accounts and they work fine. It's just this one vault. …

I am on SteamOS using the flatpak appstream://io.enpass.enpass shared by a user in this thread. The flatpak is v6.10.1.1661. I have not used it in a while but it does not seem to work anymore. I cannot sync with google cloud, it just times out. I tried clearing all user data and reinstalling, and it still just times out trying to sync to google. I tried taking an .enpassbackup from my Windows machine. I tried recovering directly with the .enpassbackup and got an "Internal error -995". After a lot of troubleshooting with WiFi sync, I eventually got it to connect with my Windows machine. (I was on hotel WiFi and once I put both the ste…

Has anyone tested if using Enpass for Linux on ChromeOS Flex works across the whole OS? Putting Flex on my laptop and missing my password manager on it is going to be a pain.

Hello world, I've finally made the jump and left Windows for Linux. I'm now using Pop! OS which more or less is Ubuntu 22.04 LTS. I'm not atechnical but definitely very new at Linux so I may be missing something basic. On Windows, I used an older version of Enpass (5.6.9) and stored the wallet on a Synology NAS running DSM 6. This NAS is only accessible on the local network/LAN and I'd like for it to stay that way. This morning Enpass wouldn't recognise the Master Password on my main computer. It still works on the laptop and my mobile. I've various 'solutions' on this forum: 1: Uninstall and re-install 2: Delete the 'Enpass' directory in my 'Documents' and reinstall 3: Tried Flatpack and Snap - neither gets me any further 4: Ensured the Laptop had a backup of the vault and then turned sync off and deleted the Google Drive copy. Turned Sync back on and let it recreate the 'Drive' version by resync'ing. I'm running enpass on Manjaro (gnome) and recently every time I unlock my pc the enpass browser pop-up, pops up. No shortcut keys are used in this process and there is no web page open that requires logging in. It's not a major issue but is an annoyance, does anyone have any idea what might be causing this behaviour and how I can remedy it?

Hello, i try to run Enpass under Linux Mint 21, but after every restart of the system, Enpass has forgotten the configuration (Sync-Mode, Tresor etc) and starts the configuration process from new ("Enter Activation Code" and so on). What can i do? Any help is welcome Regards Frank

Hello, i try to configure Enpass under Linux Mint 21. Installation works fine, the syncfolder ist stored on a network drive which is mounted by fstab (and is displayed and accessible from the desktop). These folder can used for sync from a windows version of Enpass and from an android device without problems. The syncfolder is a network drive, mounted in the home-directory of the current user ("SyncFiles"), but is not displayed in the folderselect-Dialog of Enpass. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Any help would be appreciated. Best regards Dominion

I have installed Enpass 6.8.5.1173 as per the instructions at https://www.enpass.io/support/kb/general/how-to-install-enpass-on-linux/ However Enpass will not run. No icon appears in the app menu. If I try to run it from the terminal it says Command 'enpass' not found, but can be installed with: sudo snap install enpass Which it can and the snap version runs and an icon is added to the menu. But the snap version doesn't work with the Firefox plugin :-( Going round in circles as I have another 22.04.01 LTS machine which runs Enpass fine but version 6.7.4.933

I'm running Debian Bookworm. Every time I sync to Dropbox, within a few minutes I get a sync error: Something went wrong while syncing with Dropbox. Error code: 209976 I've disconnect and reconnected the sync. Deleted the Enpass folder on Dropbox, etc. I have three people syncing to the Dropbox folder. I'm using the free 2GB Dropbox account. After completing the sync, it gives me this error within a few minutes. I was having a similar problem with pCloud but it finally "stuck" and it's working, not sure what the sync error was on that though.

I have been using Enpass for a couple of years, on Ubuntu with Brave, yesterday I installed a Ubuntu update which I think included an update to Brave. Today when I click on the key icon on the Brave toolbar instead of the prompt to login I get a message that Enpass requires setup, but no clue how to do this. I removed Brave extension and reinstalled it but no luck, still the same message. How should I proceed to re-setup Enpass. My data is backed up to google drive and shared with my Android phone. thanks for any help. Hi, It seems like it is currently not possible to either create new Passkeys or authenticate with them using Enpass on Linux (I tested Firefox and Chrome). The website I tested with is https://www.passkeys.io/, but other websites also didn't work. What did work was adding and authenticating with Enpass on an iPhone. Note that the problem is not with Firefox or my OS as the same test worked with Bitwarden. I hope this gets resolved soon as it is currently blocking me from using passkeys. Before posting, I searched for similar discussions and found several. For example, here's one: I already have Enpass running in Windows, Android and other Linux installations. So I'm not sure why this one is different. Well, the version is newer: Ubuntu MATE 23.10, and is running in a VirtualBox VM, so maybe that has something to do with it. When I export my vault items to CSV, the resulting export file does not include or reference the files I've uploaded to several of my saved items using the "Add File" button. How do I include them?

Dropbox sync with the Linux Enpass client has stopped working for me for a couple of weeks. Don't get any errors in log. It just doesn't sync. I've tried to disconnect the vault from Dropbox, but didn't work. Nothing happened. So, then after I backed up my vault, I tried to uninstall, remove my old vault and settings manually, and then reinstall. But when reinstalling it still won't sync with Dropbox. I cannot change the Data Location in Enpass 6.4.0. Settings->Advanced->Change Location button is available and launches select folder dialog. But no folder selection is accepted. The error is "Cannot select a Network or Removeable location". The folder selected is neither. Any thoughts?

Hi, I just installed enpass fresh on my Debian 12 machine and started setting it up using Firefox. I clicked on Google Drive, it got opened in Firefox and I selected my account etc. When I clicked on open in the Firefox overlay (to open the enpassauth:// link with the enpass app) nothing happened. Enpass kept on waiting for me to complete the login and return with permission/access. I tried this 3 times. Then I gave up, installed Chromium and it worked on the first try. Please fix the sync setup for Firefox (115.3.0esr) on Debian 12. Thank you!

Hi, I'm trying to get iCloud sync to work with my Debian 12 (stable), the only thing which happens is that the browser opens, I then login in to icloud.com and there is a spinning circle. Nothing else happens, and after a while enpass tells me that I can retry the operation. Any idea what is going on? Enpass 6.9.0 on Linux Thanks.

Hi, My OS is MX linux 23 (based on Debian 12.1). I installed Enpass in accordance with the guide at https://www.enpass.io/support/kb/general/how-to-install-enpass-on-linux/ - version 6.9.0.1467. Upon the first run, Enpass asks for a master password, however I did not have a chance to configure anything as no menus/buttons/controls are visible apart from the password field and "Unlock" button. In other words, the only visible screen after starting the application is as follows: OS reboot or application reinstall change nothing.
