  1. Hi @Cervoise

Since you have synchronized the Vault data via Google Drive and Onedrive, an encrypted copy of your data is stored on your cloud account. In this case, your cloud always contains a copy of same encrypted data as on your device. A copy of your encrypted data is downloaded on your device where is gets decrypted (locally) for real sync operation to merge changes. Afterwards, it gets encrypted again and uploaded back to the cloud.

Regarding backing up your data, it is completely up to you if you would like to set up synchronization or create a backup of your data. However, if you would like to always have access to your data on multiple devices, then synchronization using cloud service would be a better option.

  2. Hi @Haifeif

I'm afraid it is not possible to downgrade to earlier versions but rest assured, the steps I have shared are perfectly safe as you will be creating a manual backup of your Enpass data first. If in case you are facing any issue while creating a manual backup, do let me know and I'll gladly assist you with it.

  3. Hi @Jose Perez

I regret to inform you that there is no way to recover a lost Master Password as the Master Password isn't saved anywhere. All your data is totally under your control and we have no access to it. This is to ensure the best and optimum security for your confidential data.

If you have the updated 6.9.0/6.9.1 Enpass App on any other of your iOS/Android devices with face-ID/biometrics enabled unlock and you can access Enpass through it then please follow the steps below and we'll try to help you recover your data and reset your Master Password:

Step1 - Unlock Enpass App on your iOS/Android device via Face-ID/biometrics
    Step2 - Settings>Vaults>Primary Vault
    Step3 - Click on three dot>Show/View Password

Note- This "Show Password" feature is exclusively available in Enpass versions 6.9.0 and 6.9.1 for iOS/Android. If you are using an older version, this option will not be visible.

Otherwise, the only option would be to start with a fresh database.

  4. Hi @stkjj

Thank you for sharing the details with me.

I would like to share that at the moment, credit card autofill isnt supported from iOS keychain. Also, it seems that you are opening the login Items and not the credit card Items.

Our committed development team is currently focused on resolving this issue as a matter of utmost importance. Moreover, future updates will incorporate the required fixes for this glitch. We genuinely appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this interim period.

  9. Hi @stkjj

Regarding point a), at the moment, OTP needs to be added in the Items separately via the secret key or by scanning the QR code (for mobile devices). However, I completely understand your point and have duly noted your suggestion for future improvements.

As for the point b), Enpass does support autofilling identities and credit cards. In case you are facing any issues, do share the requested information and I will gladly get this further investigated.

  10. Hi @syriusz@Dorian

@syriuszI want to express my gratitude for your effort in sharing the quote from our blog, which I also referenced in my initial comment on this forum. Your assumption is entirely accurate: at present, the Passkey feature is exclusively available in the iOS version of the app. I'd like to inform you that our dedicated development team is actively engaged in the process of extending this functionality to other platforms. We are well aware that Passkeys are among the most requested features by our users, and they bring numerous benefits. We kindly ask you to stay tuned as we work diligently to implement this feature for other platforms. Your ongoing support is greatly appreciated by our team, and we value our users immensely!

@DorianThe process of adding a Passkey in Enpass may vary, and based on your comments, it seemed that you may be encountering challenges in this regard. Additionally, I understand you're interested in learning about Passkey support for other platforms, which is why I shared the blog with you. If in case I have understood your concern incorrectly, kindly let me know and I'll be more than happy to provide further assistance based on your request.

  11. Hi @stkjj

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. Let me assist you with the points you have mentioned -

    a) Two-factor authentication (2FA) enhances the security of your accounts by introducing an extra layer of protection. This typically involves receiving a one-time confirmation code on your phone or via email. However, for even greater security, you can opt for a more robust 2FA method that utilizes an authenticator app to generate single-use codes known as time-based one-time passwords (TOTP). Enpass offers this advanced authenticator capability as an integral feature. To discover how to generate TOTP codes within Enpass, please consult this link.

    b) On iOS devices running iOS 12 and newer, Enpass seamlessly integrates with the AutoFill Passwords feature. Once you've granted Enpass the necessary permissions within your device's Settings, you'll notice that Password options appear either above the keyboard or in place of it whenever login fields are identified within an app or website. To explore more about autofill with Enpass in the iOS version of the app, kindly check this link.

If in case you are facing any issues while adding TOTP for any webpage or autofilling, do share the app name/URL of the webpage on which you are facing the concern and I will gladly get this checked for you!

  12. Hi @Tanguy

I completely understand your perspective, and it's true that sharing the account credentials is necessary. In such a situation, you can establish a dedicated cloud account solely for sharing purposes, distinct from your primary cloud account. This approach will also ensure clear separation between your personal and shared items. To delve deeper into the process of sharing vaults, please refer to this link for more information.

  13. Hi @Dorian

Passkeys streamline the login process, eliminating the need to rely on memory or manually enter passwords. They consist of a pair of digital "keys" automatically generated on your device, and they only function when used together. One key is stored by the respective account, while the other remains securely encrypted on your device. When logging into an account, these two keys seamlessly combine instead of requiring a traditional password, providing a robust confirmation of your identity.

For a visual guide on how to add a passkey in the iOS version of the app, I recommend checking out this blog, as it includes a helpful video that can assist you in this scenario.

  14. Hi @chucky888

The data between the devices is automatically synchronized via Wifi-Sync when the app is brought to the foreground. As for the Wifi-sync issue you are facing, for troubleshooting purposes, please try the below steps -

    1. I would suggest you disconnect the Wifi-Sync server from the connected devices and set it up by following the steps in the link , or manually by following the steps in this link .

    2. Ensure that you have allowed access to Enpass in your Firewall/Antivirus Settings. Moreover, if you are using any VPN service, try disabling it to check if the issue persists.

    3. Check that time is set to automatic and is same on all your devices.

    4. You can also refer to this highly useful troubleshooting guide in case you get the same error after creating a manual Wifi-sync server.

If the issue persists, kindly share the version of the Enpass app you are using on all your devices along with a screenshot of the error that is occurring. Also, do share any VPN/Antivirus/Firewall software you are using on the laptop 2.
