  1. Dear Beta Subscribers! We are getting closer and closer to the release date, and we’re happy to announce the finest beta with the improvements and bug fixes reported by you guys in the previous Beta. While we add some finishing touches, get your hands on this beta and share your valuable feedback. IMPORTANT NOTES FROM DEVELOPER Must save a BACKUP: Your data will be upgraded to support the new architecture of v6. Once the database is upgraded to v6, it can't be downgraded or restored into previous Enpass versions. So it is highly recommended to take a backup of your data manually from any Enpass version you are using. You can take a backup via Enpass Settings> Backup and Restore. Sync incompatibility: Sync in Enpass v6 works entirely in new, efficient way and syncs to the different location (generally in destined App folders on cloud service providers) than the previous versions released so far. It will neither synchronize with and nor restore data of any previous versions (Enpass 5 and previous Enpass 6 beta). So if you want to start testing of this beta as a clean install on some other device on which you are not having Enpass 5 (i.e., not over your existing Enpass 5 app), the only way is to restore data from the backup file. Settings restoration: All your Enpass 5 settings will get reset, and you have to Re-configure them individually. What's New Multiple vaults: This is one of the most demanded features in Enpass that lets you have separate vaults for better segregation of your data. You can create multiple vaults for personal and work data and share with your family or team members by syncing through a common cloud account. However, each of your vaults requires a different cloud account to sync with. To create a new vault, go to app Enpass Settings > Vaults and follow the instructions to create your new vault. Favicons: Enpass 6 can automatically download and set the icon associated with the particular website or URL saved in an item. You can enable it from the Enpass Settings > General > Enable Use Favicon. Custom icons: We've also introduced a much-requested feature; Custom icons, which allows you to set any image as an icon for any item in Enpass. Secure sharing: This version brings secured sharing where you can share an item encrypted with a Pre-Shared Key (PSK). You can create PSK from the Advanced Settings of Enpass after which an additional option to Encrypt with PSK will appear while sharing the item. You need to share the PSK with the intended recipient which he needs to enter while importing the item. Keyfile support: Enpass 6 on desktops lets you create and use a Keyfile along with the master password to log into Enpass. If you have added a Keyfile on desktop, you would be prompted to provide keyfile on your device which you can scan from the desktop or load from the Files app in your Android device. Trash: Trash is here. From now onwards, every item you delete will go in the Trash first from where you can recover or permanently delete it. Archive: You can archive the items which are no longer in use, but you don't want to delete them as well. The archived item won't appear in any search results. Multi-line fields: Added a new field-type as multi-line field which allows you to save information in more than one line. You can make any field a multi-line field by changing its field type from the item edit page. Identity: We've introduced a new default category Identity to let you fill those long, tedious identity forms with a single click. Added localization support for Afrikaans, Malay, Croatian, Hungarian, Indonesian, Romanian, Slovak and Swedish. Improvements Cloud synchronization: The new Enpass 6 now syncs the Enpass data into the designated App folder on the cloud, unlike it used to do in the root folder for Google Drive, and OneDrive. Along with this, the app now requires minimal permissions and will give relief to our folks who raised concerns regarding the list of permissions the Enpass was asking while configuring the sync, especially in case of OneDrive. Also, as Enpass 6 is based on a new architecture, it will not sync and restore data from previous Enpass 5 and Enpass 6 beta versions. Improved Password generator and strength estimation: We have improved the password generator with the new user interface, option for excluding the symbols and the better strength estimation using zxcvbn. So there might be chances that the password shown as strong in Enpass v5 will be displayed as Weak in Enpass 6. Tags: The erstwhile Folder feature is now known as Tags. All your existing Folders and sub-folders will be replaced by the Tags and sub-tags respectively. Separate section for items with TOTP or Attachments: Many of you folks requested that items with TOTP or attachments should be grouped and displayed together, and here you'll see the separate sections for both TOTP and Attachments in the Sidebar. Eight digits TOTP support: Previously the app was restricted to generate only six digits TOTPs making it difficult for some folks who were using eight-digit TOTPs. Now this limitation has been removed, and you can freely add TOTP to quickly login into accounts. While using Fingerprint, many of our users reported of forgetting of the master password making it tough to access their database. Now Enpass give you the option to provide master password after day, week or month. A lot of other minor improvements. Get It Now We are continually working to boost the quality of Enpass before the official release and devoting a lot of time in improvements and bug fixes. And we are eagerly waiting for your feedback on our forums. With Love to our Android users!!❤️❤️
  2. Hey Enpassians! With the recently released Enpass Beta 5.4.4, your wait for Enpass app for Google Chromebook is now over. We have also released a Enpass browser extension 'Chromebook Connector for Enpass', which is specially designed to work with Chrome browser in Chromebook. It will definitely enhance your browsing experience by autofilling all your usernames, passwords and credit cards on the web pages you browse in Chrome browser in Chromebook. For that you need to install a browser extension Chromebook Connector for Enpass from Chrome Web Store. For any help regarding autofilling in Chromebook, have a look at user manual. NOTE: The list of Chromebook that supports Android Apps is available here. The complete change-log of Beta v5.4.4 is: * Introducing Enpass for Chromebook. For Autofilling in Chrome browser of Chromebook, you will need to install browser extension "Chromebook connector for Enpass". * Folder sync : Now you can sync your Enpass keychain locally to any folder on your device. * A quick setup page to enable Fingerprint, Cloud sync and get started with sample items. * Now user can choose any folder to backup Enpass data & restore it. * Improved selective field sharing. * Compatibility improvements for Android N. * Minor bug fixes. This is a Beta and there might be some bugs to frustrate you. Please release all your frustration here by reporting them. Cheers!!!
  3. EDIT 5 Nov 2018 (10 months later): the problem is still here in v5.6.8. The Windows client does not fetch updated entries edited in the Android or MacOSX clients (but Linux, Android, MacOSX update just fine). I have the Android app v5.6.4 and the Windows v5.6.5. I created a sync with my own webdav server. It works fine, except one tricky part: if I edit an item in Windows that exists in both Android, it syncs and i can see the new edits in Android. Great. if I create a new item in Windows, it syncs and I can see it in Android. Great. if I edit an item in Android that exists in both Android, it syncs and i can see the new edits in Windows. Great. if I create a new item in Android, it syncs (confirmed by the last sync times in each app) but I cannot see it Windows! Not great! It seems that somehow the Android app does not send the new data over via Webdav on all updates to the database. Looks like a bug.
  4. Hi, the idea of a keyboard for autofill in Android apps is great (more because in Android 4.4 the notification mode for autofill is not supported), but it's not very handy to change keyboard every time I need to autofill, and the Enpass integrated keyboard cannot substitute a full Keyboard app (with multiple languages, completion, prediction, and so on....). I think you should take into consideration a partnership with a keyboard app developer, in order to integrate Enpass feature in a full Android keyboard (maybe with a "plugin app"). An example should be SwiftKey, a very good keyboard now free to install.
  5. Android 9 on Pixel. Two major issues made me regret purchasing Enpass since the issues are not new yet are not being resolved: 1. 9 out of 10 times in browsers, Enpass does not appear when I need to login on a website. When I test the same site with Lastpass, also using the Accessibility Service, it works. 2. When Enpass appears below a login field, it covers my keyboard and also the next field (password) making it impossible for me to logon. If Enpass does not have the credentials this means in such cases I am blocked from logging it completely and have to disable Enpass to continue. Fix: the notification should always appear above such fields (1 out of 2 times it does). Development team of Enpass, please confirm you are aware of these issues. When can we expect this to be solved?

Android app refuses to sync with Dropbox

I have just started using Enpass, and this is how I got up and running: I downloaded and installed Enpass on my Macbook I logged out of Facebook, and then back in Enpass asked me to add it to the vault, and so I did I set up to synchronize with Dropbox, and verified that it indeed uploaded to Dropbox I downloaded and installed Enpass on my Android telephone The app contained Facebook's credentials, good! I logged into another website on my Macbook, and also added those credentials to the vault Looking at my Dropbox, the file had changed so it was uploaded correctly But my phone, even with manually syncing, still only displays my Facebook credentials. Enpass looks like an awesome application, but without syncing it's quite useless to me. How can I resolve this?
  7. Hi, I'm currently testing the Enpass 6 beta out on Linux and Android. Linux works fine so far but Syncing via WebDAV on Android fails with the error message "Something went wrong while syncing via WebDAV. Error code: 908503". I tried a lot of things but nothing worked: Creating a fresh vault and syncing it to a new folder It creates the correct folder structure on the cloud but no "vault.enpassdbsync" Creating a fresh vault and syncing it to an existing vault Restore works but subsequent syncs fail here Cleaning all data on device and reinstalling Same error Detaching from sync and reattaching Reattaching works but then the same error comes on sync I use NextCloud for WebDav with "https://<url hidden intentionally>/remote.php/webdav/" as URL and neither checking "Bypass SSL certification" or not checking it makes a difference. Hope this helps

Second Enpass6 Beta for Android is out!

Hello Enpassians! Today, we are announcing the second beta release of Enpass 6 for Android which brings: What's New Secure Sharing: An option to securely share an item using a Pre-shared Key (PSK). For that you first need to define a PSK in the Advanced settings of Enpass. More cloud options to sync with: Along with the Dropbox, now you can configure sync with Google Drive, OneDrive, and iCloud. Improvements Improved the Enpass autofilling where the app didn't autofill the login details in apps and websites in Chrome browser. Fixes Fixed an issue where Enpass 6 wasn't available to download on some Android Tablets. Other fixes. Cheers!
  9. Hi! When i try login with Chrome browser it doesn't fill username, just password and in some website fill email instead username. I have tried many site it same problem all the time.
  10. Hi Enpass team! That we know already Enpass 6 is new app and it mean more news fields like Autofill Info. Some people change own devices every years, that mean years after years adds extra Autofill Info field. I every time when Enpass create new field I hide this long and ugly field with sensitive field like in my image. I thinkt ask if it possible to overide old field with new and make it sensitive like default. And I have one feature request , Open app and Autofill when I click on Autofill Info field. Edited: I see it work with new Autofill Info script onTap it launch the application but not Autofill it. Old Autofill field from the Enpass 5 not work.

    Syncing problems over anything

  12. Hello, I recently switched from Chrome to Firefox on android, and one of the things I've noticed is that autofilling no longer works . I've tried both regular and nightly versions of Firefox for android, with no avail. Autofilling still works in Chrome. Is this a known issue, or is there anything I can do to fix this? Cheers
  13. Hi, I've been using enpass for quite a while on my Android device now. One thing that really annoyed me in the beginning, was setting up the webdav folder for synching. I know most of the hastle was due to using my Synology NAS as server and not having an external IPv4 address (I sit behind a thing called Dual-Stack). BUT, it would have been of great help if the app actually displayed the login details. Let alone edit them, without having to re-enter everything everytime. So, the feature request are: add displaying of Sync link (path to webdav) add an edit button to ADJUST these data Besides from this, the Android app is pretty awsome (using Android 8.0.0)!

    Android - copy username

Hi, I'm new to Enpass and just installed the android client. I immediately run into a misssing function. When I am on one of the lists with items (websites), I see in alphabetical order the items. When I longpress an item I get 4 options. I am on Dutch version so hopefully translate correctly: remove/delete, favorite, copy password, go to URL. What I miss in this context menu is the option 'copy username'. Many thanks for adding this in the future. Best regards, Frank
  17. I use a Google Pixel 1 (Android 8). I have enabled Autofill Service and also "Fill logins in apps and websites". What works: Filling apps: in some apps, I see a little message "Password will be provided to this app" with the app name and my account name (as it is saved in Enpass). Adding from new apps: Also, in some apps, if the app is not known by Enpass yet, after I unlock Enpass and login to the app manually, Enpass asks me to save it to Enpass. In Chrome, I only get the notification message "touch to autofill" and only if the site/account is already in Enpass, it will autofill. What does definitely not work: In Chrome, I never get a similar option like metioned in (1) , but I do get the notification message "Touch to autofill". In Chrome, I have never been able to actually save new accounts/passwords to Enpass, after using "Touch to autofill". What is the expected behavior of Enpass in Chrome on Android 8? If I cannot add anything to Enpass via Chrome, how will it ever be able to autofill? Adding manually is cumbersome and actually prone to errors, since I don't know the exact URL identifier. Also I do not have a personal desktop or laptop (only one for business which I hardly use for personal stuff, also does not allow me to install Enpass). The keyboard is not really an option. If I have to choose between a good black keyboard and no autofill (current situation) or a white one with less good typing experience, it is an easy choice, since I use the keyboard much more than autofill. EDIT: I purchased Enpass during the holiday sale in December.
  18. HI, I am endeavoring to make a program that can introduce google text styles in the android gadget. Utilizing Uri = Uri.parse("http://fonts.gstatic.com/s/abeezee/v11/mE5BOuZKGln_Ex0uYKpIaw.ttf"); Expectation goal = new Intent(Intent.ACTION_VIEW, URI); startActivity(intent); I am ready to download the textual style specified in URL in my android gadget however when I endeavor to open it, it says unrecognized record compose. Already I had introduced Hifont. utilizing HiFont I could open my document yet is there any approach to open these sort of record without utilizing hifont or any kind of installer? Autofill issues

Hello, I'm a new Enpass user and I'm testing the app under Android. I regularly use the Brave browser which is based on Chrome but has a built-in ad block. When I am testing the auto fill for the forums I go through login page, get the notification for the autofill and no login info is displayed to select. There is a message saying "No login information found for Brave.com. The autofill works correctly with Chrome and it works correctly with Brave and LastPass. See the attached screen shot.

  23. Hello, if one wants to install the Enpass Password Manager on Android, the app wants to have access on Identity, Contacts and the Phone. Would you please explain why this is necessary? Regards, kgurr
  24. Hello, I just wanted to make a remark (with a little warning sign!) to you about the topic mentioned above: I've recently noticed, that the Enpass app on Android started showing a warning about my device being rooted and how this may cause security issues. As several popular Android apps recently seem to run some sort of campaign against rooted devices, I feel the need to say, that while I'm totally fine with a warning(!) like this, I could certainly not accept any kind of ban or extensive restrictions in functionality for rooted devices on part of Enpass. Should any of these ever occur, you will have lost me as a customer just this moment. So, if your warning is just a warning and not the subtle beginning of a policy like described above, we're fine. If not, be warned yourselves in return. Anyone who feels the same and maybe wants to make a similar statement, feel free to like this post. Thanks for your attention.
