Hello, I use Enpass on MacOS and I have activated the login into Enpass via fingerprint. This worked fine for a couple of months now, but since a few days, every morning, when I wake up the Mac, Enpass requires me to sign in with my master password and with my private key file. This is really annoying since it requires a lot of work for me to enter this stuff, since it's a long and complicated pass phrase that I use. I wonder why Enpass has stopped accepting the login via fingerprint. Anyone has an idea what could be the problem here? I did not chance anything in the settings... Thanks, Marc

Hi team I installed the latest version of Enpass Desktop for Mac from the Apple App Store, and it created an "Enpass" folder in my "Documents" folder. This "Enpass" folder does not appear when I do a "ls -al" in Terminal. Clicking on Get Info in Finder shows that the actual location is /Users/<username>/Library/Containers/in.sinew.Enpass-Desktop/Data. How do I remove this "Enpass" folder in Documents as it creates unnecessary clutter? Thanks.

Hi, After Enpass locks because of inactivity, when I try to reopen EnPass there is no username/password field or option to unlock with fingerprint. This goes for both the EnPass application, as well as the Firefox browser extension. There's a lock icon, but clicking it doesn't do anything. The only way that works is to cmd + Q quit the app and restart it. MacOS: Ventura 13.2.1 (Apple M1 iMac) Enpass: 6.8.5 (1256) Firefox: 110.0.1 (earlier versions had the same issue) Any idea what this might be?

Hello, I updated Enpass for macOS, which supposedly already supports saving Passkeys, but I never see a window in macOS with the option to save the created Passkey to Enpass. I tried Brave, Chrome, Safari. In brave, he turned off Shield, I turned off adblockers, etc. I also checked the Browser settings in Safari, where I turned on the saving of Passkeys. Also, I have disabled the saving of Passkeys when using the keychain in macOS System Settings. Nevertheless, in Safari, I still see a native window with a menu, how I want to handle Passkeys, and in Chrome and Brave, a browser window with a menu, how I want to save the passkey. Can you give me some advice?

This happens sometimes, maybe once a day or every two days. Couldn't find a pattern: When the Mac wakes up from sleep and I want to access a website using the Safari extension of Enpass, I see just an empty blue square (see picture) - normally I should be able to open it with Touch ID at this point. Also the menu bar icon and the Enpass app itself are not accessible then. I have to quit (sometimes force quit) the app and start it again to use it.

Unfortunately, to solve the Dropbox sync problem, I had to completely delete Enpass and set it up again with a backup. I also have to reset all the settings in the application. Since then, the option "Remember the location of the last used key file" no longer works. Before my Enpass reset, I always only have to enter the master password at Enpass start, the key file was already selected. Now after the reset, in addition to the master password, I have to click on "Select key file" every time and then select the file. Now that Enpass Mac can create passkeys ... how do I stop it from throwing up its passkey dialog before the macOS Passkey creation dialog? The way it works now, Enpass throws its passkey creation dialog first. I have to cancel that & THEN I can get to the Apple dialog. PLEASE add a pref to turn off asking for passkey creation. Or fix my comments/suggestions/annoyances below & I'd gladly use Enpass for passkeys by default. Hi, We use Mac Ventura 13.6 and Enpass 6.9.1. Unfortunately the app crashes a few seconds after I entered the master password. There is a window telling "Enpass wurde unerwartet beendet." I have 3 vaults. I am able to export 2 of them but my primary vault gives an error when doing an export: "An error occurred while exporting the vault". The export config is the same. My conditions: MacOS 13.1 Ventura, Enpass 6.8.4 (1166) Since my upgrade to MacOS 13.1 Ventura Enpass freezes sooner or later, showing "Spinning wheel". This happens at once when switching Apple's new "Stage manager" on and off. Program window is still there but app is unreachable and showing the "spinning wheel". The connections to my browsers (Firefox, Safari) are broken. Any ideas what is wrong?

Hi, I've been using the Mac OS X desktop app and browser extensions for months without issue. It always opens and immediately asks for Touch ID auth in order to open the app. However, the app suddenly stopped asking for Touch ID (it only allows for writing the master password). When I tried the master password, it says it is incorrect. I already tried dozens of possible combinations just in case I got something wrong with the master password but nothing worked. I'm using Vivaldi browser 5.0.2497.28 (Stable channel) (64-Bit) and Enpass extension 6.7.4. The new inline autofill feature is great, but it seems that own website icons are ignored there. I disabled the download of website icons, so there are only default icons for websites. I collected some icons and put them into the login entries. As an example, these website icons are shown in Enpass and in the Enpass-Dock. But in the inline autofill popup still the default icons are shown. Is this a known bug? It would be great if you would fix it.

Some time ago there was a "feature" introduced to the Enpass desktop app: If you press the alt/option key, Enpass will display the password in plain text. Since this caused quite some trouble on Windows (see this thread) this functionality was removed from the Windows version of Enpass. However, it is still present today in the Mac version. My personal perspective is that I do not like this behaviour at all. I do not want my passwords to be displayed in plain text on the screen because I accidentally press the option key. Is it possible to add a Last Used field that automatically gets updated every time I use an entry for autofill? I recently came across a forum that I lost access to due to inactivity and when I tried to recover the account, I was asked when I last used the account. I was lucky that I sort of remembered the approximate month and year so I got my account activated again, but it would be nice if Enpass just kept track of that information. Thanks!

I have had Enpass for years without problems. I upgraded MacOS to Sonoma 14.0, and at startup of EnPass as wells as unlocking it (both fingerprint and password), my mouse and keyboard start misbehaving (short freezes, jumping, generally unresponsive). I synch through iCloud and it seems directly linked to that: every time it syncs, this behaviour happens and syncing takes way longer than usual. After about 10 sec, behaviour goes back to normal. I never had this before and it seems specifically to Sonoma/iCloud sync. But the weird thing is that a manual sync through the "sync now" button works fine. After unplugging the external monitor, sometimes the helper scaling is messed up (se screenshot below). The main window is fine and restarting the enpass helps for the issue, but I'd be nice if I won't have to do that every time. The GUI is non-functional in this state using mouse buttons (either I can't find the right area to click on the item, or it just doesn't register clicks at all), I can blindly navigate it with the keyboard. The GUI also doesn't refresh fully when for example highlighting items or typing search criteria. Note: the screenshot was censored for my privacy. Pixelization is not caused by the issue.

I have this problem where Enpass seems to quit randomly. As far as I can tell, it is quitting cleanly, i.e. there are no crash logs when I relaunch the app. As I'm not watching the menu bar all the time I can't tell exactly when and under what scenarios it's quitting, and therefore the icon disappears from the menu bar. All I can say is that sometimes it's no longer running after a long period of sleeping (e.g. overnight) and sometimes it could be when I'm actively working. I've enjoyed using the password app for years now, but it's starting to get really annoying. 1. It freezes every time after a screenlock 2. It freezes on Apple Stage Manager 3. The path to the used ENPass key is ignored 4. Browser extensions for Firefox & Chrome only work from time to time. 5. I noticed recently that Enpass was not syncing via Dropbox on my two other devices, so I figured signing out and signing back in might do the trick. Now none of my devices can connect to Dropbox. On desktop, I am able to get to the confirmation page from Dropbox to allow Enpass to access it, and when it switches back to Enpass, I just get an endless "please wait" message. Any insight into what I'm doing wrong?

Hi team, It would be beneficial if Enpass could improve accessibility on the popup for changing field types/names. Specifically, the "Save" button should be set as the primary button, so that when the user presses Enter, this button will automatically perform the action. Currently, users have to type in the field name and then use the mouse to click the button, which adds several extra steps.
