Every morning when I return to my mac and try to login somewhere on Safari, the Enpass extension reports it needs to "find" Enpass. A look at the dock at that point shows that the main app has mysteriously terminated during the night. The extension is successful in launching the app. Even after that however the extension cannot connect to the app: every attempt to login pops a new Safari tab, a search for the app, the app window appearing and getting minimized again, and the same "cannot find" failure from the extension. This happens every day now. Extension 6.9.0 on Safari 17.0 with Enpass 6.9.1 on macOS Sonoma 14.0 (so, yeah, everything up-to-date.)

When I import from 1Password, all folders (Vaults in 1pw) and subfolders are made into tags in Enpass. So I have now manually deleted all those passwords. However, I prefer to store my passwords in folders, since I find it hard to organise things in long list and only with tags. Like: I would like the passwords that has to do with my hobbies to be in one folder (called vaults in 1Password). I know there is a possibility to make vaults in EnPass aswell, but as I understand I need to have them in another I<cloud, it is not possible to have more than one in my "main" iCloud? or have I totally misunderstood? I'm currently using the 6.10 (1069) beta, but I would like to return to using the current version. Trying to reinstall over the beta returns an error. Do I have to uninstall Enpass completely to leave the beta?

After installing firefox/floorp with brew in to not default location: brew install floorp --appdir "~/Applications/" I'm receiving this message: Browser requesting the data is not code signed. You can share the following diagnostics with us at support@enpass.io. If i move it to /Applications/Floorp.app everything works as expected. Same is happening with firefox.

When using MacOS Safari on multiple user accounts on the same Mac, Safari seems to deauthorize. If I use it on one account it will work but if I switch to the other account I will have to go into safari > settings > extensions and uncheck Enpass then recheck it for it to start working on the second account. I've set up Touch ID in the app. I would like to set it to always ask for a password on first startup and only then use Touch ID. Is there a way to do this?

Hi, I'm trying to sync my mac to the database on my linux machine but no matter what I do it doesn't work. It looks like enpass on the mac is looking for a different type of file. I've tried to restore a backup from the linux machine to the mac - doesn't work. I've tried to open the actual database from the linux machine on the mac and that doesn't work. Can't find any directions online. I had no problems syncing between enpass on linux and enpass on windows 10. Can you help? Thanks!

Hi, I'm currently trying out the business solution from Enpass. Unfortunately, it only works with a OneCloud Tressor. I had to create an MS Azure account first - a bit of a hassle. It's a shame that this doesn't work with other cloud solutions. I have linked the Enpass app (Mac) to my business email and am now trying to connect the OneDrive Tressor. When I click on "connect", I have to authenticate myself in the browser. Then I am taken back to the Enpass app and get the error message: Something went wrong while restoring OneDrive. Error code: -958 How can I solve this problem? Thank you for your help. Leif

Hi, the "Copy Password" functionallity stopped working. I have also disabled the setting "Clear Content after..." - but still did not work. Any idea? Version is 6.9.4 (1630)

Title says it all. Happens using Intel or Apple silicon. Enpass opens and as soon as it try to sync to a vault in iCloud it crashes hard. Unusable unless you start with the network connection disabled.

Hi- I'm running Enpass 6.9.3 on a new MacBook Air. I recently installed 5.6.11 on an older laptop. I'm tried using Dropbox to sync the vaults. The vaults are already synced across the MacBook Air and my iPhone and iPad. The older laptop running 5.6 is the only outlier. When I click "Sync Now" on the 5.6 version it reports the Dropbox sync is complete, however, nothing actually shows up in Enpass on that older version. I just tried syncing via "Folder" on the old Mac too and pointing it manually to that same Dropbox folder in the Mac Finder and that still doesn't bring across the vault that the MacBook Air and iOS devices are already syncing with. Hello everyone. So the worst has happened, I forgot my master password (yeah, I know... How silly of me .-.). The vault hadn't that many password inside 'cause it was just my first try in the password manager world, but still... I would like to try to recover it... I know some parts of the master password and I've already tried writing a python script that tries all the combinations. As this was running on my working pc tho, I had only two days to test these combinations. When I installed Enpass on my MAC it did not ask me where I wanted to install the primary vault. Since I would prefer to put it in a location of my choice, is it possible to change the physical location of the primary vault? Thanks!

Hello, I bought this app some time back and have one vault saved on Google Drive. Whether I downloaded the app from the app store or the website, I consistently face an issue: the app freezes upon reopening. The problem doesn't arise if the app is not opened at all, but if it's already running and I use my fingerprint to log in, it becomes unresponsive. As a workaround, I deactivated the automatic check for new versions, which alleviated the issue slightly, but the problem persists intermittently. I just updated my Enpass app from version 6.9.0 to 6.9.1 on my MacBook Air M1, macOS 13.5. If you have the items in your vault ordered alphabetically by title, you could easily navigate to a location in the list of items by just typing a letter on the keyboard. Enpass would then select and jump/scroll to the first item in the list that has its title start with that letter. E.g., if the item list has the keyboard focus and you press 'e', the first item in the list that has its title start with 'e' is selected and the list is automatically scrolled to the position of that item. It is impossible to send mails with the Netim webmail (mail1.netim.hosting) when the Enpass extension is installed. I have denied access to the webmail as you can see in the attached screenshots and I still cannot send mails. I must deactivate the Enpass extension completely to be able to send mails. This means that Enpass still alters the web page when it is denied to do so, which is a big issue. I can create temporarily a Netim mail account for debugging this issue. Just let me know. Hello, I use Enpass on MacOS and I have activated the login into Enpass via fingerprint. This worked fine for a couple of months now, but since a few days, every morning, when I wake up the Mac, Enpass requires me to sign in with my master password and with my private key file. This is really annoying since it requires a lot of work for me to enter this stuff, since it's a long and complicated pass phrase that I use. I wonder why Enpass has stopped accepting the login via fingerprint. Anyone has an idea what could be the problem here? I did not chance anything in the settings... Thanks, Marc

Hi team I installed the latest version of Enpass Desktop for Mac from the Apple App Store, and it created an "Enpass" folder in my "Documents" folder. This "Enpass" folder does not appear when I do a "ls -al" in Terminal. Clicking on Get Info in Finder shows that the actual location is /Users/<username>/Library/Containers/in.sinew.Enpass-Desktop/Data. How do I remove this "Enpass" folder in Documents as it creates unnecessary clutter? Thanks.

Hi, After Enpass locks because of inactivity, when I try to reopen EnPass there is no username/password field or option to unlock with fingerprint. This goes for both the EnPass application, as well as the Firefox browser extension. There's a lock icon, but clicking it doesn't do anything. The only way that works is to cmd + Q quit the app and restart it. MacOS: Ventura 13.2.1 (Apple M1 iMac) Enpass: 6.8.5 (1256) Firefox: 110.0.1 (earlier versions had the same issue) Any idea what this might be?

Hello, I updated Enpass for macOS, which supposedly already supports saving Passkeys, but I never see a window in macOS with the option to save the created Passkey to Enpass. I tried Brave, Chrome, Safari. In brave, he turned off Shield, I turned off adblockers, etc. I also checked the Browser settings in Safari, where I turned on the saving of Passkeys. Also, I have disabled the saving of Passkeys when using the keychain in macOS System Settings. Nevertheless, in Safari, I still see a native window with a menu, how I want to handle Passkeys, and in Chrome and Brave, a browser window with a menu, how I want to save the passkey. Can you give me some advice?

This happens sometimes, maybe once a day or every two days. Couldn't find a pattern: When the Mac wakes up from sleep and I want to access a website using the Safari extension of Enpass, I see just an empty blue square (see picture) - normally I should be able to open it with Touch ID at this point. Also the menu bar icon and the Enpass app itself are not accessible then. I have to quit (sometimes force quit) the app and start it again to use it.

Unfortunately, to solve the Dropbox sync problem, I had to completely delete Enpass and set it up again with a backup. I also have to reset all the settings in the application. Since then, the option "Remember the location of the last used key file" no longer works. Before my Enpass reset, I always only have to enter the master password at Enpass start, the key file was already selected. Now after the reset, in addition to the master password, I have to click on "Select key file" every time and then select the file.
