  1. @metropical,

Thank you for sharing the details.

Please follow these below-mentioned steps and share your findings with me.

Note: Make sure you have the backup of Enpass database saved locally on your device. Backup is created as file with .enpassbackup extension. You have to remove enpass data manually from your device and restore it from the backup file.

     Steps:

    1. Quit all current running instances of Enpass → Go to Finder → Enpass data location(Documents folder by default) → Move the Enpass folder displayed there to another location in device(for safekeeping)
    2. Now launch Enpass again(it should launch from Welcome Screen) → Here, setup new Master Password → Create a couple of dummy items and lock-unlock the application. This is to check if application is still going into not responding state.
    3. If it is working fine now, Go to settings → Advanced → Apply Erase Everything.
    4. Now Restore your database using the original .enpassbackup file.

Is data on EnPass encrypted before being uploaded to cloud sync ?

Yes, your cloud works only as a storage medium and no cryptographic operation (encryption or decryption) is performed there. All such operations are performed locally on your device and your data never leaves your device in unencrypted format. A copy of your encrypted data is downloaded on your device where it gets decrypted (locally) for real sync operation to merge changes. Afterwards, it gets encrypted again and uploaded back to the cloud.

  8. Hi @Rojma,

    Thank you for contacting Enpass.

For the time being, I would like to share that you have to add the URL in the blocked list in the Extension settings page on which you are facing this issue.

    For example:

    image.thumb.png.16f05a1ccddc77f842d2f98fa3946a8b.png

Also, share the following details so that I can assist you better.

    1. On which device (along with the OS version) you are using?
    2. The version of Enpass, Enpass extension, and Browser version you are facing this issue?

Please save, and share the webpage where this issue is occurring. You can refer to the below steps on how to do it -

    1. On your Edge browser, open the webpage on which the issue is occurring.
    2. Use the command “ Ctrl + S“  to save the webpage to your Desktop.
    3. An  HTML file and a folder of that webpage will be saved on your PC. Select both documents and compress them into a ZIP file.
    4. Then share that ZIP file with us, and we will get this issue further investigated.

Note: Please share the zip file over PM or please write to us at support@enpass.io (along with this Forum Link).

  9. Hi @ng4ever and @DenalB,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

For example if you are using your Desktop i.e Device A (Wi-Fi Sync Server) and your Phone or Tablet as Device B (Wi-Fi Sync Client). Now if your Device A suddenly stops working or as you mentioned you did a complete format then the Device B connected over Wi-Fi sync will also stops but the database which is synced from Device A to Device B will be there in Device B.

Do I have to resetup Wifi Sync on the other client devices like my phone and tablet ?

Yes, you have to re-setup Wi-Fi sync on all Devices after the re-configuration of Wi-Fi Sync Sever.

Should be nearly the same question I have.

@DenalB In your case you need to manually tranfer your Vault's database from your iPhone to Desktop by using Restore Over Wi-Fi option.

Make sure that your iPhone and Desktop are connected to the same Wi-Fi and your Mobile’s screen remains in foreground throughout the following process:

    • Open Enpass on your iOS device--> Go to "Settings"--> Click on "Advance"--> Select "Backup"--> Chose "Over-Wifi".
      image.png.f5427ebda1348a36d27c2fcc17513350.png
    • Now open your Dekstop Device -->Open any browser and enter the IP address visible in the Restore over Wi-Fi screen in your Mobile device (as shown in the screenshot above).
    • Tap  Choose File  on your system and navigate to the backup file’s location. Tap on Upload. Now you’ll be asked to enter the password of the file in your device once the upload is finished.
      image.png.d551b32ffc7c668e3b15f1f206ddf428.png

After this the you can restore the database from the backup file store in your Desktop Device and again set up a Wi-Fi Sync Server.

  10. Hi @mark chang,

    Welcome to the Enpass Community.

As suggested by @Samuela,  If you want to block an entire website domain then Wildcard URL can be used, to do so please append an asterisk at the end of the URL for example, https://www.dianxiaomi.com/*. (This will block the Inline option over the domain whenever opened)

However, if you do not wish to block a complete domain and just a single webpage then add the whole URL i.e "https://www.dianxiaomi.com/index.html" into the Inline Autofill Popup Menu Blocklist. (This will only block the Inline option over a particular webpage, as blocklist is URL specific not domain specific)

  12. Hi @ng4ever,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

I would like to share that in the Desktop version Enpass automatically takes backup of your data on a specified location in your device. I would recommend you to Enable Auto Backups by Go to Enpass settings --> Select Backup --> Auto Backups --> Enable Backup Automatically.

I back up manually my .enpassbackup file but thought that would work but you can't restore it unless you have a fresh install of Enpass and I do not want to have to uninstall Enpass and reinstall it ever time to do this.

You can restore the Enpass backup file without uninstalling or re-installing Enpass for this you need to create a secondary vault and by following steps:

    • Open Enpass--> Go to Settings--> Click on Vaults--> Click on (+) and created New Vault--> Then Select "Restore from this PC" and choose the Backup file--> Enter Master Password--> Click on Restore.

  13. Hi @ng4ever,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

"Can one there more family member buy their own Enpass instead ?"

Yes, if you have purchased Enpass Annual Family Subscription plan then you can add up to 6 members and they will get access to the Enpass License. Also, each member can purchase any different plan according to their requirements.

"Will the Wifi Sync if used by everyone conflict in any way ?"

No, there is no conflict of any kind if Wi-Fi Sync is used by everyone. Make sure the Wi-Fi Sync server is configured and in running state then Enpass client on other devices can discover running Wi-Fi Sync Server on the network and pair with it. The pairing can be done manually by verifying a code (to verify the server’s certificate) and access code (password for server) or by scanning a QR code that embeds all information required.

For more information about this refer to these links: Wi-Fi Sync,  Wi-Fi Sync Manual Setupand Troubleshooting Wi-Fi Sync.

    Cheers!

Enpass could be one, but I'm unsure if they support yubikey.

Please note that we already have a feature request for the same and are aligned for implementation in the future. However, I have duly noted your feedback and it has been forwarded to the concerned team for further consideration we’re not sure of a specific timeline for when this will be implemented.

I'm looking for alternatives that allows me to use a database stored on my own server, not in the cloud

For this Enpass Wi-Fi Sync lets you sync your data between various devices connected to the same network, cloudlessly. If you want to ensure your data never leaves your local network then this is for you. For more information about this refer to this link.
