Lastpass to Enpass - Same functionality?
Garima Singh replied to anonymous's topic in Enpass Support & Troubleshooting
Hey @anonymous Welcome to the forum! Sad to hear that your contact with the support team was not helpful and we are extremely sorry for the unpleasant experience. The answer to your queries is- Auto-fill using Extension- Yes, we do provide auto-filling on the desktop using the brower extensions. Enpass Browser extension/plugin works with chrome, Firefox, safari, edge, opera browsers to auto-fill the details. Multi-vault- In Enpass we do have the multi-vault feature, using which you can distinguish your personal, work and family vault and sync them to different cloud accounts. 2FA Support- Enpass is an offline password manager and doesn’t keep any of your information or Enpass data on any cloud/server. Two factor authentication is used in online services where the requested data is transmitted after validating the user through a second factor (generally an OTP on phone or email) and works as an extra protection, which is not at all required in case of offline services as your data is with you only. To add a another layer of protection for your data stored on your cloud accounts, you can enable 2FA there. Same thing have been discussed on our forums here However for additional security along with your master password you can always add keyfile in Enpass as a 2SV. Free version of Enpass: The Free version of Enpass offers all the core features on Desktop including the following Unlimited items. Multiple vaults. Cloud synchronization across all devices via iCloud, Dropbox, OneDrive, Google Drive, WebDAV, and Box. Adding and generating one-time passwords (TOTP). Item sharing. Identification of Weak, Old, and Duplicate Passwords. On mobile devices, free users can store 25 items. Also the Lastpass data can be easily imported to Enpass. Here is the tutorial video that makes the onboarding easy and quick. Let us know if you have any other queries. Thanks! -
Hey @Mariusz Thanks for the patience. Please update the Enpass app to its latest version (v6.6.0) and check if you still encounter the same issue with the app on your macOS?

Garima Singh replied to gnrmarcel's topic in Windows PC
Hey @gnrmarcel & @qwertyops Apologies for the trouble. Please confirm if you have updated your system recently after which you are facing this problem? Also, please make sure your device is up to date and try to launch app using Run as Administrator and share your findings with us. If this doesn't help, let us know which OS version you are using currently. Thanks! -
Hey @afunworm Thanks for the confirmation. I'm afraid to say that currently there is no workaround. However, I have shared the issue with the team to fix it.

Hey @Fotan Welcome to the forum! That's strange. Please share the below details so that we can check the issue: Did you start facing this issue recently - like after an Enpass update, or did you face the same problem earlier as well? On which device with OS version are you facing this issue? Which exact Enpass and Enpass extension version are you using on the same device? Are you facing the same problem with other browsers too? Which Firefox version you using? Thanks!

Error connecting to the Chrome extension
Garima Singh replied to Spooky's topic in Autofilling and Desktop Browser Extensions
Hey @eno We regret the inconvenience, but we're here for help. For quick troubleshooting, please reinstall the Brave beta browser. If this doesn't help, please share the following details: Did you start facing this issue recently - like after an Enpass update, or did you face the same problem earlier as well? Which exact Enpass version are you using on the Windows devices? Are you facing the same problem with other browsers too? Are you using any Antivirus or third-party security-related extension? Let us know the above details so we can investigate this problem appropriately. -
Hey @AndrewL Thanks for sharing this workaround. I have shared it with our team as well.

Add ability to change passwords with one click.
Garima Singh replied to Ahmer's topic in Feature requests
Hey @Ahmer Thanks for sharing your feedback. The feature of changing the password of any account locally with one-click is not practical with Enpass for two reasons: Complex User experience: Being an offline password manager, all your passwords are kept at your devices only. So the change of password have to take place on your system, which would require lot of automated steps typically involving; browser opening → auto-filling old password to login → navigating to change password page → setting up new password and reverting back to Enpass on successful change. Browsers force various limitations to automate these steps and non standard nature of websites further convoluted the user experience. The user experience could have been better in case the process has been executed in our server by sending your password there (like the password manager you have shared is doing), but that is against our privacy policy as at any point of time we do not keep your data on our server. Evolving security practices by Websites: All the steps, I mentioned above, to change a password need to be scripted in a flow. But websites these days randomly add additional authentication pages (2FA, Security questions etc) that doesn't align with the script and results in failure of process. Since every website need a separate script, the list of websites supporting automatic password changer can't be satisfactory long. Thanks for your understanding and let me know if you have any query. -
Hey @Anthony Please try updating the Enpass app again from the Microsoft Store and share your findings. Thanks!

How to sync a vault between two users using DIFFERENT cloud accounts
Garima Singh replied to AndrewL's topic in Cloud Sync
Hey @AndrewL Welcome to the forum! The reason Enpass folder is not visible on the Google-Drive cloud is that it remains hidden in the application-specific apps folder of the Google-Drive cloud. Also, I have noted your suggestion to to sync a vault between two users using different cloud accounts. Thanks! -
Guide share vault between two devices with folder sync
Garima Singh replied to tideredshift's topic in Android
Hey @tideredshift Welcome to the forum! I understand that you are having this issue as there is no option to restore the data of the folder sync on the Welcome screen of Enpass. We have noted this for the improvement. For a workaround, open Enpass on the second device as a new user from the Enpass welcome page and create a new vault using the same master password with which you are using Enpass on the first device. Now set-up folder sync with the vault on the second device. Let me know if you have any queries. Thanks!- 1 reply

Hey @pdw999 & @vikas027 Glad to know that you're enjoying Enpass. Yes, absolutely. The backup file of Enpass are totally encrypted with the master password of the Enpass only. Decrypting the backup file or synced file will require the master password. The original, encrypted vault files are copied as backup and the security of your data depends upon how strong is your Master Password as the encryption key for your keychain is derived from the same. Stronger the master password, safer is your data. Even when you sync, the encrypted database is uploaded to the cloud of your choice, leaving behind no chance of data theft in the mid. Yes, To enhance the security of the Enpass data along with the master password, you can use keyfile as 2SV. Let me know if you have any queries. Thanks!

Hey @itservicesx & @mdlc Thanks for sharing the inputs. For further testing, could you please disable 'Android auto-fill service' from the Enpass Browser settings and then enable the 'Auto-fill using accessibility'. Now try to auto-fill again on the same device and and share your findings with us.

Hey @StylishGuy Please try using the command ‘wsreset' in the command prompt using Admin rights to clear the cache of the Windows Store and then try again. If this doesn’t help, please take the backup of Enpass data first and then reinstall Enpass App again. If the issue persists, please let me know in which country you are facing this issue so that we can investigate it further.

Garima Singh replied to Oceanwaves's topic in Linux
Hey @ScottyJavea Regret the inconvenience. If I have understood correctly, you are trying to restore the Enpass data from Google-Drive cloud and Enpass is crashing. If yes, please try signing off from the Google-Drive cloud account on the browser and then try to restore again. If the app still crashes, please share the below details- Which Enpass version you using? On which device and OS version are you having this issue? Have you send the crash report to us? Hey @S31FER & @dmedich Thanks for the patience. Please upgrade Enpass to latest v6.6 as we've improved few things there that which might help. If this doesn't work, please share your HDD/SDD setup or if you can see disk activity in Windows Task Manager at 100% while this Enpass issue persists.
