  1. Hi everyone, I just stupidily clicked on backup via Wifi and now I have a copy of it on the IP 192.168 etc. I really would love to have a function for remove it from there once I have downloaded once and be sure this happened. Do you know how to do it and how to be sure nobody would access to it? Thanks a lot

  2. why are you not encryping or at the very least obfuscating the names of a users cached favicons when this is enabled? I know, the icons are only cached on each device not synced to the cloudproviders, and if your OS content can be read by someone else it cannot be assumed to be secure yadayada. But on a shared- or work-related machine, Im pretty sure a Enpass-user expects the entries to be confidential as well. So if someone has a strange affection to... crows, whatever, there will be a login.ilovecrows.com within %AppData% or the portable directory. If someones has several hundred entries, it gives quite alot intel about that person.. This applies to…

  4. This is not welcomed behaviour from you Enpass app !!! deactivate this reading !!! How many data have you collected by this mean ? 5. Hey Enpass devs! I just read about a breach with a manager called "Passwordstate". Apparently their third-party upgrade mechanism injected malware into the update and now thousands of users had their passwords and other info stolen directly out of their managers. Talk about a nightmare scenario! What does the Enpass updater mechanism look like? Is that maintained by Enpass alone? How secure is the updater scheme? Thanks! My family are all committed Enpass users (multiple screens & PCs).

  7. Legal changes in corporate entity : The significant changes are in the name of the entity, governing law and principal place of business from India to the USA. The controlling entity is changed from Sinew Software Systems to Enpass Technologies Inc. Hello, It is absolutely awful that you have changed the principal business place to the U. S. I - and I am sure many others - have consciously sought out a password manager which is NOT based in the U. S. as we all know that privacy is not much worth there. It has not been since years, whatever party was in government. By going to the U. S., you are making yourself subject to all kinds of measures…

  8. Hey Guys, First of all kudos to you guys to develop such an awesome piece of software. I have just migrated my stuff to Enpass on my Mac l and loving it so far. This is definitely one of the best offline password managers I have seen by far. While playing around with the software, I have noticed it automatically creates a backup file with an extension .enpassbackup. Like most of the other software, this file is what a hacker would need to brute force an attack on to decrypt all the secrets. How is this file generated, how secure is this file? Can we have some extra security measures to protect the file other than the master password? Cheers

  9. Hi there I´m using PIN code on Mac OS (MacBook without Touch ID) in oder to quick unlock enpass app running in the background? I think that the master password is not saved on in Mac, even in ram. This means unlocking with Pin Code doesn´t actually decrypt data in enpass. Technically you can say enpass running in the background and locked with Pin is actually unlocked, right? In case someone gets acess to an unlocked Mac with enpass locked with PIN (instead master passwors): May it be possible that this person (that is is pretty much into IT / has former computer skills) could gain access to data saved in enpass?

  10. Started by red5goahead,

I did not understand why many passwords are identified as weak by Enpass. For example the password 8castle-5Arms-0seth is considered secure by many dedicated online services such as http://www.passwordmeter.com https://password.kaspersky.com https://howsecureismypassword.net/

  11. hi guys, I'm a heavy user of ENPASS. Recently I just also bought the abo, I dont like abos, but I'm using the software heavily on phone and computer. However I have big fear that some keylogger or whatever will logg my Masterpassword. Its somehow strong, but gives the entry to all my passwords, and now I start to add some 2FA... two questions: - Is adding 2FA a good idea? Feels like that is destroying the 2FA, because with one password you get access to the password and also 2FA.. Maybe I should leave that in the google-authenticator? - How can I protect my masterpassword any-better? Is there maybe also a possibility for a 2FA, protect it with another OTP or 2FA …

Dear Community, I am really conernd about the error which I had faced. I restarted my notebook and changed the boot directory for some tests. After that, I wern't able to login to Enpass with my Masterpassword. Enpass looked like it were new installed and therefore my login files were gone, so everything were deleted. Luckly I had made several backups and could restore my credentials but, it is really strange that all my file were gone. First I thought maybe it's an securtiy feautre because of that changes in the Boot directory. But, after restoring my files with the backup, I did the same again and changed the boot directory, but no fi…

  19. Hi, I know that EnPass try to keep copies password as secure as possibile... and it does a good job at least securing password that are copied on clipboard using a smart trick like emptying clipboard after 30 seconds Today after an upgrade/update from google of it's GBoard I got notice of a new feature (that can be enabled and GBoard proactively instruct on let you know of the feature and how to enable it).... Such a feature is like a clipboard with evey note that reach the clipboard. So if you have every note that is being cut/copied in last 1 hour. Including password that get copy/paste from EnPass. This is a feature of GBoard and not much that EnPass can…

  22. I've 10 days left on my premium Dashlane licence. I'm starting the evaluation of Enpass and might switch usong the actual premium price promotion https://www.enpass.io/pricing/ I've installed Enpass on my iPhone and Mac Book Pro. The migration of some 250 registration from my Dashmane ti enpass went allright in a few seconds. The sync is working with vault installed on Dropbox. Since my trust in the Cloud storage is limited, I prefer to have my vault stored on my own Synology NAS storage organization. I've not seen this possiility in the sync option. Is it possible ? My second question : is it possible to open a website double cliking on an Enpass reg…
