  1. @Maja

I regret the inconvenience. Honestly, we don't have many users writing to us about the app crash on the Windows platform, so this could be a device-specific issue, but don't worry, I'll help you out.

First, which Enpass version are you using - you can find this info in Menu -> Help -> About.
Second, did you recently send us any crash report? Please let us know what name you mentioned in the report so we can filter it out.
Third, does the app crash in the background (when you're not using it), or does it crash while you're using it?

  2. Dear Enpassians,

Last week, we released Beta updates for Windows Store and website versions. Today, we have released the latest Beta updates for the Mac website version and Linux OS.

They are available for download from our website. Please find the release notes for each of the platforms:

    Mac:

    What's New:

    • UI Improvements.
    • Added an option to delete the unnecessary fields from the saved web forms. Navigate to the 'Show Webform' on the detail page of the item.

    Fixes:

    • Fixed an issue where some of OneDrive users got a password-mismatch error as "Password of data on OneDrive is required." Now fixed. Affected users need to delete data from OneDrive (an option to delete the data is shown while disconnecting sync from the cloud).
    • Few of our users reported getting an error code 1208400 while syncing with OneDrive.
    • We fixed an issue with the order of fields getting shuffled for a custom template on syncing with other devices.
    • A problem with custom icons being displayed as black.
    • We fixed an issue where the deleted items were visible under associated tags.
    • Autofill for Microsoft account was not working on Safari.
    • We squashed a bug with CSV importer.
    • Instead of the word TOTP, Enpass now uses the terminology One-time passwords.
    • The issue with URL marked as private wasn't masked.
    • Some of the keyboard shortcuts were not working consistently in Enpass assistant.
    • The cloud icon was not being displayed on the vault list.
    • Other minor crashes and fixes.

    Linux:

    What’s New:

Let us know your feedback and suggestions. You can also write to us at support@enpass.io if you have any queries.

  3. @Joseph

    Thanks for your inputs.

Our team has been informed about this inconsistency. However, could you try importing the XML file with the 34 entries in the same vault in which you successfully imported 270 items? Don't worry, you may backup your data before this import procedure and later restore the backup file to prevent any manual effort into separating the items from two different files.

  4. Hey Enpassians!

We hope you are doing great and making the most of your time.

The latest Beta v6.5.0 for on Windows Store comes with the ever-awaited "full-time Windows Hello" support. You can enjoy continuing using Windows Hello even after the system or app restarts. Go ahead and put your bio-metrics to test with the new feature.

    What's New:

    ·    One of the most requested features— "Full-time Windows Hello support" is here. Now you need not enter the master password after the system/app restart.

    ·    Added an option to delete the unnecessary fields from the saved web forms. Navigate to the 'Show Webform' on the detail page of the item.

    Fixes:

    ·    Fixed an issue where some of OneDrive users were getting a password-mismatch error as "Password of data on OneDrive is required." Now fixed. Affected users first need to delete data from OneDrive (option to delete data is present while disconnecting the sync from the cloud).

    ·    Few of our users reported an error code 1208400 while syncing with OneDrive.

    ·    The issue where the order of the fields is getting shuffled for a custom template on syncing with other devices.

    ·    An issue where custom icons display as black.

    ·    Fixed an issue where the deleted items were visible under associated tags.

    ·    Squashed a bug with CSV importer.

    ·    Instead of the word TOTP, Enpass now uses the terminology One-time passwords.

    ·    The issue with URL marked as private did not mask.

    ·    Some of the keyboard shortcuts were not working consistently in Enpass assistant.

    ·    The cloud icon didn't display on the vault list.

Get your hands on this beta version and share your valuable feedback. If there are other improvements you'd like to see, please leave a comment below.

    Cheers!

Thanks for installing Enpass and giving it a try. We appreciate your feedback.

With the "Miscellaneous" CSV I get all the field names right, but the field types are missing and the separater titles are also missing.

Did you have the same name for the field types in the CSV and the template you created?

On 8/12/2020 at 3:47 PM, Rolly said:

So, for example most of my entries have the old password added is a custom field.

You'll have to edit the CSV column type as "Password" to rectify this. Don't use the custom field in the column header of the CSV.

On 8/12/2020 at 3:47 PM, Rolly said:

How can I move an item to another category and apply the template, that all field are in the proper format (e.g. password, multiline, hidden,...)?

The template of an item would not change on moving the item(s) to a particular category. While you create an item, you have to choose a specific template that fits the bill or you will have to edit it later.

On 8/12/2020 at 3:47 PM, Rolly said:

Is there an pre-formatted CSV where I can add my own category/template

No. You can, however, use the Miscellaneous CSV, edit the columns similar to the template's field type and then import the CSV.

On 8/12/2020 at 3:47 PM, Rolly said:

I noticed, when exporting data from Enpass as CSV my proper category is also exported. So it should be possible to import the same CSV file format. How is this possible?

Similar to the above, edit the CSV column header in line with the field type you want. You can also refer to the user manual page for additional info.

  6. @PatrickR

Sorry for the delayed response. We want to inform you that 1Password has recently changed its export template, and the CSV import is not a recommended option as it doesn't export all details. We suggest you try exporting in the PIF format.

Also, the improvements/changes made with import functionality in Enpass are:

Password history and create time: We have already fixed this issue, please try to import data and let us know if you can check the item create time and password history.

Custom categories: We are still working on this issue and will update you once the problem fixes.

    Dear Sinew Crew,

Please do not start a separate line of support on the likes of WhatsApp/Telegram.  While I use such services, and they are great for messaging they are not an improvement or replacement an upon the forum structure.

That said there are improvements I would like to see in the forum and the way you provide feedback that is for another time.

Thanks for your feedback @Dentonthebear. We'd love to know your suggestions on how/where could we work on the forums? Obviously, there is room for improvement; especially from the customer's perspective.

  8. Hey @JJK

Thanks for using Enpass and writing to us. Also, sorry for the delay in response.

As far as I understood you wish to sync your Enpass database so that you and your wife both can access and edit the database saved in Enpass. To do so, please follow the steps mentioned below-

    • Open Enpass on your device and go to Enpass settings --> Click on 'Vaults' --> Select the vault which you wish to share with your wife---> Select ‘Set up Sync’ and choose a cloud account to your database.
    • Enter your cloud account details, follow the instructions, and wait till the sync is done.
    • Open Enpass on your wife’s Phone--> Click on ‘Settings’ → Click on ‘Vaults’ -->Click on “+“ and create a new vault/ Select the vault you wish to sync ---> Select ‘Set up Sync’ and choose the same cloud account from which you had enabled sync on your device.
    • Once the sync is done, the database from your device will be restored(visible) on your wife’s phone.

Also, you can refer to this FAQ. Let me know if you have any query.

    Hope this helps!

  9. Hey all!

There is presently an issue with the OneDrive sync, as reported by users in the forum here. We're aware of the problem and are already thinking of a fix to it. Meanwhile, we request you to follow the troubleshooting steps mentioned in the same forum post by our team members. If the issue persists, even after following the troubleshooting steps, we'll recommend reinstalling the app as a temporary fix to the problem.

    Thanks.

It shows an URL with a LOCAL IP https://192.168

Okay. We see that, but do you want to sync Enpass database over the same WebDAV? In the context of our application, WebDAV sync implies syncing your vault over a WebDAV account so that you have access to your passwords across all devices. Is that what you're looking for or is it something we've misunderstood?

In Enpass, under WebDAV vault sync, you can try entering the same URL 192.168.xxx.xxx in the URL field, but again, that would require a username and a password.

Why don't you try the Folder sync option available in the vault sync settings. It seems that the WebDAV on your MAC could be accessible as a network folder. Let us know.

    Thanks.

  11. @123ABCXO

    Hello,

We understand your concern is legitimate considering the privacy of the data and the security of the app, however, Enpass secures your data encrypted with the master password you choose. There's no way by which we can access your data as it is stored offline (not on company's servers). Moreover, we don't save the master password or any of its derivative with us, the data is only accessible to the user (with the master password).

You can also visit the security page on our website to know more about how Enpass secures user's data. Let us know if you have any concerns.

    Thanks.

  12. @OptiqueMarquis

As a user, we totally understand your concern about privacy and security of your data stored in Enpass, and we care for it. Nothing has changed in Enpass technically.
It may look horrible but if we go into the details, things will look transparent.

First thing first—At any point of time, we do not have access to the data secured in Enpass. It can never be accessed without your master password.

The first 3 visible entries don't have the same password (anymore)

Make sure that the password is not the same. For the entries (in the screenshot) that show an identical password, could you try deleting them and restoring them from the Trash folder of Enpass and then check if they appear in the Identical list.
