  1. Hello everybody, First of all many thanks for the almost perfect program ... I have a problem with the latest Wondows store version. Maybe the admin or even a user can confirm the same to me and promise with a solution or a soon FIX? So I am successfully connected to my Synology via WebDAV and syncronize everything with my iOS mobile phone. So far so good. Now I have created a 2 vault, a brand new one. Here I created a password / entry, that worked too. Now I would like to syncronize the second vault with the same or other access data WebDAV (other user on the Nas and this has no access to my main syncron folder) to another local folder on the Synology. The first connection also takes place, no problem. BUT, Enpass does not create a "vault.enpassdbsync" file in the new WebDav folder at all. stadessen is a Syncronization error: "No data found on WebDAV". The connection to the other folder exists however. How do I get on here now? Is this a BUG that will be fixed soon or am I doing something wrong? Addition: after the error I can click on "solve now" and click "continue". Then he tells me again "last syncronized a few seconds ago". After clicking again "Syncronize now" comes again the error "No data found on WebDAV". Thank you for your help. many Greetings Seger

Webdav is not working for me

Cant sync with my webdav. I tried to delete the data on the server and sync again. I get always the message: Data not found. But the data is on the server. This happens on Linux and Android. P.S.: Please provide a flatpak for Enpass
  3. Syncing with webdav crashes the App on Android and Linux. I deleted the Library on the webdav site and Android creates a new one. Same Problem as before. Both (Linux and Android) are crashing when they try to sync with webdav.
  4. Hi, I'm currently testing the Enpass 6 beta out on Linux and Android. Linux works fine so far but Syncing via WebDAV on Android fails with the error message "Something went wrong while syncing via WebDAV. Error code: 908503". I tried a lot of things but nothing worked: Creating a fresh vault and syncing it to a new folder It creates the correct folder structure on the cloud but no "vault.enpassdbsync" Creating a fresh vault and syncing it to an existing vault Restore works but subsequent syncs fail here Cleaning all data on device and reinstalling Same error Detaching from sync and reattaching Reattaching works but then the same error comes on sync I use NextCloud for WebDav with "https://<url hidden intentionally>/remote.php/webdav/" as URL and neither checking "Bypass SSL certification" or not checking it makes a difference. Hope this helps

    Sync error : 909997

Today is THE day : upgrading Enpass to 6.0.0 on all my devices (Linux, Android, Windows) Went fine on Linux & Android : after installation, the first launch of Enpass 6.0.0 detected existing vault, and went through an "upgrade" of the local database, telling me once successfully completed, that all parameters had been reset. I simply re-configure Enpass, including webdav synchronization on Owncloud, and all went fine (successfully testing some modifications within the vault : sync OK). Doing the same on Windows, first showed a different behavior : Enpass 5 detected the need to upgrade and proposed to download, but then, I had to manually launch the install program freshly downloaded. Once installed, my first run of Enpass 6.0 didn't detect any existing vault (strange compared to Linux and Android behavior). I simply went through a vanilla install, setting up Owncloud sync through webdav, and my new vault was re-created locally (downloaded from the Cloud to local Windows drive). But after my first passwords modifications locally on Windows, when I tried to sync, I get the following message (translated from FR) : "error during sync with Webdav. Error code : 909997" Anybody faced the same ? Thanks,

Sync Enpass to Synology / Davs

Apologies if this has been asked. I've been a long time user of Enpass. Love it. But there's something missing and I'm here to propose it. I got a Synology NAS earlier in the year. I would love to have Enpass sync to it as opposed to syncing to Dropbox. The way I have it now is like this: Enpass syncs to Dropbox, then I have a job in the NAS that syncs the wallet file down to it as a backup. But I would rather have Enpass sync to the NAS directly. That option does not exist. Enpass can only syncronize to Owncloud/Nextcloud webdav. I can't put my NAS's davs address and point it to the directory where the wallet lives. I *could* install Owncloud on the NAS, but it is hacky and I don't want to do this as root. Future feauture?
  7. Hello, I try to sync my enpass desktop with my webdav server (hosted on Synology NAS) but it does not work. I succeeded to enable sync on my iOS device but the same configuration on Enpass desktop 5.6.5 leave the popup on the connection attemps like the screenshot in attachment. I change the sync type to Google Drive for test and it works. Can you help me please ? Regards
  8. So I'm having an issue with the beta. I cannot sync with a webDAV connection because the option is grayed out. Also, OneDrive syncing only allows for a personal OneDrive account and not a 365 account.
  9. I setup Enpass on a new machine, both the Traditional Win32 version and the UWP via the Windows Store. I successfully restored my data in the Win32 version but when doing the same in the UWP version, it fails with "Not able to connect to WebDAV. Please check Internet connectivity." It doesn't matter if I use valid or invalid credentials and it's not a matter of a bad WebDAV URL as I copied the URL when setting up the Win32 version & pasted into the UWP version I store the URL in Enpass so that when I have to setup another machine I can refer to it so I copied it from the Win32 app to be sure Is this a real error or is there something else that's missing, like the UWP expects the SSL certificate to be installed etc.
  10. Hi, I've been using enpass for quite a while on my Android device now. One thing that really annoyed me in the beginning, was setting up the webdav folder for synching. I know most of the hastle was due to using my Synology NAS as server and not having an external IPv4 address (I sit behind a thing called Dual-Stack). BUT, it would have been of great help if the app actually displayed the login details. Let alone edit them, without having to re-enter everything everytime. So, the feature request are: add displaying of Sync link (path to webdav) add an edit button to ADJUST these data Besides from this, the Android app is pretty awsome (using Android 8.0.0)!
  11. Hi, so far I have used Enpass on an iPhone and synced the passwords to a nextcloud. That worked fine so far. Unfortunately I have had to reset the iPhone and have now trouble to connect the nextclud file again. First, I'm not quite sure what to enter into the URL filed. Is it just the URL until the folder that contains the walletx file? Do I have to enter / at the end? Is it the complete url including the filename? If I just enter the URL (https://my.server.de/remote.php/dav/principals/users/Thorsten/Enpass/Enpass/sync_default.walletx) I'm getting this error : "Error could not establish conection with given WebDav-folder" (translated from german, see attached image enpass1) By te way, I'm experienced the same behaviour on Windows 10. any help is very appreciated. Thanks Thorsten

Sync with Qnap NAS and Owncloud

The only way I managed to make Enpass connect, as an existing user, to Webdav over Owncloud installed to my QNAP NAS TS-110 was by connecting to the server and manually save the walletx file to the PC, then run the Enpass installer again and choose "Backup file" in the "Restore" dialog of the installation wizard. After successfully restoring the existing user this way, I now can open the Toos->Settings->Sync options and manually enter there the connection information for the Webdav/owncloud option!

  14. Hello, me, some friends and my family need a better sync... We want a sync with our server with ftp or better sftp.. Is it already possible or is it planned ? When it is not possible and not planned, WHY... Its a very good feature (and easy to implement). Greetings, False

    WebDAV Sync just one way

Hi, I'm using Enpass on Windows and Android. Just switched to a custom WebDAV server over SSL. I can make changes on Windows which get propagated to the Android version. Changes on Android aren't pushed. Any ideas? Thanks, Sebastian Windows: 5.6.2 Android: 5.6.4

    Webdav synchronization fail sometimes

Hello, sometimes the synchronization with a webdav server fails.... I can reproduce the error on 2 iPhones. Often the synchronization works, but again an error occurs. If the error occurs and I then synchronize manually the error does not occur ...?! On the webdav server nothing is impossible to see. (log files) The exact error can be seen in the screenshot Thanks for help in advance Best regards Ralf Hauptmann
  18. Enpass Portable and OneDrive Hi, i don't know whether this is a feature request, a bug report or a total lack of understanding on my side... i want to use enpass on my work laptop which uses windows 7 and will soon be upgraded to windows 10. Since it's work i can't just install things. So i want to use the portable version, which seems to work fine. But i cant choose onedrive (yes, i use several devices with macOS, IOS, android, windows). So i thought I'm a clever guy and mount my onedrive as a WebDAV (which works fine in windows explorer). But trying to open the Enpass-folder on OneDrive gives me an error saying the data is inaccessible. What am I doing wrong here? again, i can easily read and write data within the WebDAV-folder that i mounted as a drive via https://d.docs.live.net/CID as officially described i also tried the absolute path with the \\d.docs.live.net@SSL\CID\Enpass which again works flawlessly with windows explorer so please implement support for this :-) (or fix the bug or brighten me up on why it is works-as-designed)

    Webdav Setup Not Connecting

I've run into a weird issue with webdav sync will not connect on setup. I'm not sure where the error is but it is only happening on my windows 10 installs of 5.4.1 and 5.5.0. This is happening on three different windows 10 computers that I have tested it on. I can install both versions without any issues and use the program but when I go to setup the sync to my nextcloud server, enpass just sits there saying connecting (see photo). I know my webdav is working as enpass works on both android, 7.1.1, and macOS Sierra, 10.12.3, on versions 5.4.8 and 5.4.1, respectively (See photo). I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling, deleting local data cache, I even installed it on a newly installed windows 10 computer and still not working. I have created a test account on my nextcloud server to see if it was the password or account but still get the same results. I was looking at the TCP/IP connections when hitting the connect button but didn't see enpass actively make a connection to my sever, unless I was looking in the wrong spot. My server logs also do not show anything when I'm trying to connect either. Is there a place were enpass stores logs or anything of the sort that I can reference to see what is going on?
  20. hello, i am a happy enpass user on ios, mac and windows. the database is synced over webdav with my nas at home. webdav is not directly reachable over internet, so from outside i connect through vpn. everything works fine, except on my work pc with windows 10 64bit. from work i have a permanent vpn connection to home and immediately after starting the app, enpass is able to sync without any problem. but after some time enpass is running (can be days), it does not sync anymore. when opening the app it shows the sync spinner rotating but it will never finish. after quitting enpass and restarting the app, sync works again. it seems that sometimes the sync process hangs and that there is no timeout in this situation, as the spinner goes on forever.. bye, oskar

    Nextcloud webdav

Been using the Enpass & Nextcloud webdav sync for a long time without issue. Noticed today that sync isn't working. Keeps asking me for the password saying there is a mismatch. I can use the same password to login via the Nextcloud webui and also works for other webdav clients. (Gnome desktop Nextcloud integration being one) I'm using Nextcloud V12.0.0 and Enpass 5.5.3
  22. A key reasons I use Enpass over competing solutions is that I'm keen to keep my vaults local. I know it's all encrypted but prefer to shield myself from future encryption vulnerabilities and brute force attacks... So, in order to sync between my Ubuntu laptop and iPhone, I setup a WebDav server on the office WiFi, which seems to work well. However there's an issue with the iOS app: whenever the WebDav server isn't available, it keeps pestering with red "Error syncing data" banners. These come back a few seconds after being dismissed (the Linux client's UI is better behaved, simply colouring the sync icon red). Thankfully these banners aren't too intrusive but I'm wondering what they imply; presumably every re-appearance means the app has again been looking for the server. An attacker could observe this behaviour and try to exploit it. May I suggest some ways to improve this? Provide a "manual" (vs. the current "automatic") syncing option and a button allowing the user to explicitly request a sync from the client (the Linux client sort of has this: a "sync now" button under "Status: couldn't connect to server"). If the client/app is in "manual" mode, then sync only occurs when explicitly requested. Automatically switch to "manual"/"offline" after a number of repeated automatic sync failures rather than keep trying. (smart feature): offline/online behaviour could be tied to a WiFi network (ie: sync is auto-enabled when on a known network). These three features are incremental improvements; ie: one could start with feature 1. for the bare minimum which would address the current shortcoming. PS: Clicking "Disconnect" in the Sync settings pane is definitely not a solution as it clobbers the complete sync settings. Many thanks! Chris
  23. My config is the following: [nas running seafile with webdav extension] + nginx https letsencrypt as reverse proxy --> the world Syncing my desktop client (archlinux x64) works fine, no problem at all. But when it comes to android here I do have a (big) problem. The first sync is correctly done, my db is on the phone. But after that, every time I open Enpass I got an error -119 couldn't connect to cloud service. Of course, my nas and seafile are up and running because I can access them. So I tried to look into logcat and I found the following issue: W/HttpMethodBase(1735): Cookie rejected: "$Version=0; __cfduid=$TOKEN; $Path=/; $Domain=.MYDOMAIN.eu". Illegal domain attribute ".MYDOMAIN.eu". Domain of origin: "MYDOMAIN.eu" Strangely enough, if I try to setup the dav folder with Solid Explorer I can see the same problem on the logs. But if I try to mount the dav folder using total commander + webdav plugin then everything works fine. My guess is that there is a problem with the jakarta httpclient library because also with solid explorer I was getting the same error with the same user agent (3.1)
  24. Specs: Enpass 5.5.2 (81), 1133 items, no attachments macOS 10.12.4 Sync over WebDAV (self-hosted Nextcloud 11.0.2) with SSL (letsencrypt) When starting up my Mac or waking up, Enpass freezes for several minutes. My impression is that it hangs on sync (as the sync icon spins during the freeze). After a couple of minutes, Enpass is usable again. What can I do?
  25. Hi, I posted a reply to a forum thread here: https://discussion.enpass.io/index.php?/topic/1271-difference-between-sync-options/ I am trying to clarify if I can have the Enpass "Data Location" be the same as the Sync Service folder (ex. /home/user/Dropbox/Apps/Enpass/). Should I also turn sync on? Or is it recommended to have the "Data Location" be in a separate local only folder. Thanks,
