Feature requests

Tell us here what features you would like to see in upcoming releases of Enpass.

  1. I just switched to Enpass, love it so far... But I am missing a feature. It would be very nice to have Cmd-C (Ctrl-C) copy the password for the currently selected login. So it could be very fast to get a particular password: Cmd-F, enter search term, press up/down to the appropriate entry, Cmd-C. Thanks!

  2. Some sites have rules on which special characters can be used in their password. They also require special character in the password. I don't see a way to select which characters are used, so I have to keep refreshing until I get an acceptable password or use another generator.

  3. I lost all my data because I lost accidentally the password. I could still use fingerprint to enter the app in android but I could not change the password without knowing old password.

  4. I need this to get rid of annoying login via password.

  5. I need this. Login in Windows app is annoying.

It would be nice to be able to export entries that are assigned to the specified folder only. I have many items for my clients separated by folders - sometimes they want to send them exported passwords. I know I could create separate vaults for clients, but till enpass will support multiple opened vaults - it is more convenient to keep passwords in the one, my master vault. Regards

Hi, i am switching from 1password to enpass, in 1password i can fill a form and save it whithout sending it, it is important for me because there are some sites that prevent software like enpass or 1password to retrieve data when sending it, this type of forms can be saved to 1password by clicking save new login button and it works perfect but it cannot be done in enpass, can you consider this feature?

For people who have a small number of saved passwords (maybe even few enough to fit on a single screen), it doesn't make much sense to have them grouped alphabetically.

Really like the ability to RE-login to Enpass using Windows Hello once it's running in the background, but will we eventually have the ability to launch Enpass with Windows Hello and not have to enter our Master Passwords?

It would by nice to have a System wide shortcut like 1Password Mini to quick access enpass in every situation. I would also by nice to full controll the enpass "Mini" by keyboard.

  11. Every time when I create a new item in enpass I have to enter my username and my mailadress manually. Normally i use up to 5 different usernames and mailadresses over the most of my accounts. So, it would be easier if I could choose out of a list of my usernames or mailadresses when I select one of the elements. - the list could be created automatically out of the previous stored items. - or the different usernames and mailadresses has to be stored once in the enpass-settings Best wishes pitman

Hi, I'm well aware, that you guys can't support every browser and every platform. Is there a possibility to query the database while it is unlocked? I think qutebrowser.org would be a low hanging fruit to implement auto-fill with a few lines of python. Rgds Silvester

In IOS the dolphin browser is used very often. Couldn't you create a plugin for that too? Up to now, there is only a plugin for the safari browser, which is a pity.

  14. Started by Giovanni,

Last year the Enpass team already talked about releasing favicons / custom icons. Now it's already a year later and we still don't have it. Enpass is absolutely my favorite password manager, but my only gripe with Enpass compared to 1password or LastPass is that this feature is missing. Is this feature still planned or will I be left waiting?

  15. Especially useful in creating custom templates, where a field only has a few logical responses. I would love to create my own dropdown choices for: WiFi security protocols (WEP, WPA, WPA2, etc.); user account types (Admin, Regular, Parental Controlled); and... so many more than I can think of right now... In sharing my custom Enpass templates with clients - even when populating fields with sample data - I'm still finding that some users inexplicably enter toe most nonsensical data in some of the strangest places. This feature would go a long way to eliminating that, I believe. Thank you again for all your hard work on this wonderful program. I sing your pr…

I would suggest that you can use your own wordlist. As a danish native speaker it is much easier for me to remember and type danish words, than english.

  17. Right now, enpass as it is, if I enter the master password using its hotkey to login to a website, the minimum amount of time before it auto locks is 1 minute. For the rest of my life, in that 1 minute, I need to make sure I don't give access of my laptop to anyone else, otherwise he will be able to view all my passwords. Considering how humans by nature err all the time, there is no way I can assure myself of perfect safety, I'm trying to switch from lastpass to enpass and this is the only problem I see with the enpass security model. Lastpass always asked me to enter my master password to view any password and never allowed viewing passwords without any security, even i…

  19. Hi, I think the Passwort Audit is a nice feature, but I have some ideas to improve it. The weak and the duplicate feature is nice, also for example if you import all your new passworts. As I have some assworts, which I can't change it will remaind me that these are weak. But the old feature we can improve in my opion. As I have for each entry a random unique passwort, I will not change them every month. I have more then 200 entries. So it would be great if we can disable only the old feature (not the whole password audit, as we can do it now) or better would be, if we can change the time. For example which passwort is older then 3, 6 and 9 months. …

I need to sync with BTSync also called BitTorrent Sync. For this I need access to the data store file. Could you implement the possibility to sync the file with for example the sd card?

At my work we use Active directory, so I have a password that gets me around all different things at work, I would like to have the ability to do massive update when my password is changed. right now, in enpass i have to go into each one to change them manually. it would be great if enpass -> password audit -> identical -> can allow you to change them.

  24. Loving the Widows Hello support in the Windows 10 UWP app - but would be even better if you had the option to be able to accept the Windows Hello logon (facial recognition/fingerprint) without having to press OK, so it became almost transparent for the user whilst still secure.

    1. Put check boxes in front of digits, symbols and uppercase to quickly enable/disable. 2. Make the categories into ranges to allow for more varied password generation. Not sure how much entropy this would actually add, perhaps it is a perception issue that static numbers for the different categories is bad. 3. Perhaps under options have the possibility to edit which special characters should be valid for use (with a reset to default button). For 1 and 2 see my excellent paint skills here, the green scribbles are supposed to be checkboxes :-)
