I'm going to repeat myself but please support yubikey feature. IT's pretty simple, yubikco is giving all the API we need to do this: We know that it should be for web app but if you say was the ONLY usecase then -> we wouldn't use it to auth in windows 7 locally -> we wouldn't use it to auth in keepass locally -> we wouldn't use it to auth to QubesOS and decrypt the device LOCALLY Should I continue? Yubikey CAN and SHOULD be used to decrypt encrypted assets in ALLL password manager. We should never pretend to know better since there are always better version of ourselves and in this case it's also true. If theoreticians of security and cryptology use it then we should too. simple as that.

Hi guys, Thanks for your suggestion. We are on it and our dev team is working hard to bring this feature ASAP. I appreciate your patience in the meantime. Cheers!

Hi, I have been using Enpass for a couple mounth now, after buying the Premium version which is very good. However, I am a bit of a design nerd, and I was quite sad to see that the icon system was not so good, and it seems that I am not the only one: Only a few icons are available by default. Some icons are quite outdated (see the Netflix one). Adding custom icons is long and buggy (the icons size is very messy). We cannot remove custom icons (after trying to add the same icon in various sizes, I got it in almost ten version and found no option to remove them). That is why I have been thinking about the following features, that I think could be good looking and more userfriendly: When new credentials are added, if the field URL is filled, try to catch the favicon and use it as an icon. If the website does not have a favicon, or the URL is not given, just leave the icon empty as it does currently. Added a little "refresh" button when editing a credential, which tries to catch the latest favicon (if the icon was a favicon) For the custom icons, just resize them to the size of the icon displayer. Adding a little cross on our custom icons (so that we can remove them easily) This requires that custom icons ALWAYS have the priority over favicons. I think this is not a huge feature, but it is the kind of details that improves the user experience, even a little (and that design nerdy, like me, will enjoy A LOT). Thanks for reading this!

I'd really like to see a right-click cut/copy/paste menu in desktop Windows V6. I can kludge it with keyboard shortcuts (ctrl-V, etc.) but someone was asleep at the wheel there. Also, the search function in desktop V6 doesn't search within an entry- it only searches titles, meaning the mobile apps actually have more functionality. Lastly, for those of us with Windows Mobile devices now stuck on v5.x forever, I really wish the V6 updates warned us that V6 and V5 were incompatible. I only discovered that after updating a half dozen Android and iOS devices that are difficult to roll back. Now I can no longer use Enpass on my Windows Mobile devices, and because of this, I'm contemplating switching to a different password manager unless you introduce a legacy compatibility mode that allows V6 to read/write V5 wallets. I really, really regret the V6 upgrade, and would have set up all of my devices *not* to autoupdate if I had known.

If you had trouble updating the Enpass version from 5.6 to 6.0, follow these steps. Download version 5.6, if you do not have the installer, in this link (Softpedia). Synchronize with your previous backup in Dropbox, Google Drive or another Cloud. Click File, and then click Backup. Save the file in a safe place (remember the place). Close the old Enpass 5.6. Open the new Enpass 6. Click on Import Backup Locate the backup made in Enpass 5.6 Type Master Password and enjoy it!

It would be really nice if you could copy multiple fields in a password object once so it will be easier to use Enpass in a native application where Enpass not able to autofill. Scenario: 1. You launch ie Spotify application 2. You open Enpass (short key?) 3. You enter Master/Pin code if needed. 4. You enter Spotify in search field 5. You press arrow down to mark Spotify item and copy the item (ctrl+shift+c?) 6. In the Spotify app, first ctrl+v paste username, second ctrl+v paste password

It would be great if when you create a login for a website that Enpass would use the icon from that website, instead of the ones that you have in the database.

Hi @Unsay, Thanks for your suggestion and pretty detailed one. The solution you proposed is very feasible provided we have enough time to do this major refactor. We are planning a major UI/database/sync engine redesign of Enpass next year that will implement many new features that are not feasible with current architecture. I think that will be suitable time for considering your suggestion.

I'm transitioning to enpass from Roboform, which I have used for many years. Roboform has supported FingerPrint unlock in all versions of their Windows client and browser extensions for many years. The lack of this feature in enpass is a gaping gap between enpass and Roboform. It must be possible to fix it -- Roboform does it. Is it on the enpass roadmap? Unless I misunderstand the usefulness of the universal Windows app, I don't think the fingerprint support in it is very interesting to PC users since the Universal app doesn't interact with the broswer extensions, and it's not as full featured as the desktop app.

I totally agree! That would boost up your reputation!

Lack of multiple vaults support would be the one thing to hold me back from adopting enpass. I have used eWallet for 10+ years and am considering enpass primarily because of Linux support and because eW doesn't seem to see much innovation in recent years (eg: their iOS integration is still subpar). I tried 1password but it failed at Linux support and also proper multi-vault support. I'd suggest keeping it simple; separate vaults which can (easily - 1-click) be selected at startup, stored in separate files/databases. For users who don't care about multiple vaults, this shouldn't intrude their workflow. I think eWallet's implementation of that feature is "just right"...

On base install of Kubuntu 19.04, Enpass is unable to authorize sync with Dropbox (via Firefox). An error appears when clicking "Authorize" on the Dropbox sync page. I believe this is because newer versions of Kubuntu omit the `desktop-file-utils` package. This can be fixed by running the following commands in terminal: sudo apt install desktop-file-utils sudo update-desktop-database After this, run the sync setup again and it should work.

Sorry but I'm done with your crappy software. I'm a developer myself and I know releasing a bug free software is impossible, but your update from 5 to 6 was just BS. You killed the sync functionality and the db conversion from 5 to 6 also wasn't bug free. OK bad thinks might happen... but all these problems were reported months ago and still there are no fixes. Even worse now sync is broken on all platforms! In my case (WebDAV) sync is broken because of a character conversion failure. So if minor bugs like these take you months to fix, how long would a security critical bug like a failure in your vault.db design take to fix? So I'm done with Enpass, not only did your support disappointed me also my trust in your Software is broken. If anybody else how wants to switch to Keepass: I quickly wrote an converter script from enpass json to keepass csv. Most of the informations are preserved. Everything that has no group in Keepass will be stored as Note. I wasn't sure how the attachments are serialized, so I didn't cared for them. Have fun: import json with open('enpass_export.json') as enpass_json_fid: vault_data = json.loads(enpass_json_fid.read()) keepass_csv_string = '' for item in vault_data['items']: title = item['title'] group = item['category'] last_modified = str(item['updated_at']) url = '' hostname = '' password = '' username = '' email = '' note = '' if item['note']: note += item['note'] + "\\n" for field in item['fields']: if field['value']: if field['label'] == 'Website': url = field['value'] elif field['label'] == 'Hostname': hostname = field['value'] elif field['label'] == 'Password': password = field['value'] elif field['label'] == 'Username': username = field['value'] elif field['label'] == 'E-mail': email = field['value'] else: note += field['label'] + ": " + field['value'] + "\\n" if hostname and url: note += "Hostname: " + hostname + "\\n" elif hostname and not url: url = hostname if username and email: note += "E-Mail: " + email + "\\n" elif email and not username: username = email if note: note = note[: -2] keepass_csv_string += '\"' + title + '\"' + ',' + '\"' + group + '\"' + ',' + '\"' + username + '\"' + ',' \ + '\"' + password + '\"' + ',' + '\"' + url + '\"' + ',' + '\"' + note + '\"' + ',' \ + last_modified + "\n" enpass_json_fid.close() with open('keepass_import.csv', 'w') as keepass_csv_fid: keepass_csv_fid.write(keepass_csv_string) keepass_csv_fid.close()

Hi, I often have passwords with an expiration date (30 days, 90 days or 120 days). It would be helpful if I could add an expiration date when changing the password and get a notification before expiration. BR Christian

Hello, when I open an URL and want to log in, I have to click on the Enpass toolbar icon in the browser. This means long ways for the mouse pointer and also long ways for the eyes. It would be useful when you display a small overlay icon in the login fields. When I click the icon, the Enpass Assistant is shown. I know that there is a hot key to open the Assistant, but you should also offer such an icon. The browser-extension Kee for KeePass shows such an icon: Please offer also such an icon for Enpass. This increases the usability. Best regards OLLI

Hey guys, We do have plans to release the beta version of Enpass portable by the end of this week. Cheers!

I fully support this request. Having two or more independent vaults is a major point for Enpass (in theory). So far I can use any other PW-Manager (Reasons explained by AMK already)

Hello, I read in a computer magazine that there is a new Browser Extension for Google Chrome called Password Checkup https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/password-checkup/pncabnpcffmalkkjpajodfhijclecjno When I sign into websites this extensions checks if the password that I have entered is pwned . Then a message box is shown telling me if the password was pwned (message box is red) or if my password is still safe (message box is green). I think it would be useful when Enpass also checks passwords at login. But you should only show a message when the password was pwned. Best regards OLLI

I agree with wmc. Enpass is an excellent product, but the 6 release has been non functional for me. Step back and try again.

Hey guys! We are incredibly excited to announce the first beta release of our most awaited update - Enpass 6. You're more than welcome to join us to help in building a better Enpass for you. This is the first beta version of Enpass for Windows to help you guys get a whirl of the latest features. We know the beta build will have features that are still in progress, the app will be less stable than you’re accustomed to. Feedback on stability, as well as any other performance issues you experience, is crucial and extremely appreciated. You can download and install the beta from here and for further information head straight to our blog post. Cheers!

I am in exactly the same boat. We either need to be able to access an older version where fingerprint access works or the new automatically updated version needs to have fingerprint access added ASAP so the account can be accessed. I too have purchased and recommended Enpass to others and have important information that I now can't access.

Thanks for the recommendation. I was looking into Pass, but I'll check out bitwarden as well.

First of all the new gui is nice and does not suck That out of the way, I was also affected by this.I am using Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS (community theme "yaru") on a 1080p laptop (X11, not wayland). As a workaround I followed the suggestions in the FAQ and created the following file: /opt/enpass/enpass_launcher containing export QT_AUTO_SCREEN_SCALE_FACTOR=0 export QT_SCREEN_SCALE_FACTORS=1 /opt/enpass/Enpass %U after this I made the file executable chmod +x /opt/enpass/enpass_launcher and changed the desktop launcher in ~/.local/share/applications/enpass.desktop to look like this [Desktop Entry] Version=1.1 Type=Application Name=Enpass GenericName=Enpass Password Manager Icon=enpass Exec=/opt/enpass/enpass_launcher Actions= MimeType=x-scheme-handler/enpassauth;x-scheme-handler/enpasscard;x-scheme-handler/enpassstart;x-scheme-handler/enpass;x-scheme-handler/cloudkit-7adb8cc6tf.in.sinew.walletx;application/enpasscard; Categories=Utility; make sure to completely close Enpass (including the tray applet). After re-opening, the scaling should be back to normal. --- It would be great if future versions of Enpass improved the resolution detection to avoid fiddling with system files which is not for everyone. If you need any additional info about my setup to help you improve your software let me know! @Vinod Kumar

Some further differences: 6) the Store version only allows you to change the location where backups are stored but not where the main vault database files are stored; the desktop version allows you to change both 7) the Store version does not work on earlier versions of Windows (e.g. 7), the Desktop version does 8) the Store version required you to have a Microsoft account, the Desktop version doesn't

Although I am really looking forward to the new version, I can appreciate not just throwing an application out there just to get it out there. This just reinforces my decision to switch to Enpass! Take your time and release a quality product, unlike some places that just toss out something only to have to pull it back after it does something majorly unexpected and piss a lot of people off. Keep up the great work!!!! Ben

Feature request: Auto-copy TOTP code With any site/login in Enpass that contains a stored TOTP seed, auto-copy the TOTP code after user/password has been auto-filled, so that it's ready to be pasted when the next field, a TOTP field, is very likely going to be requested. This is something a couple other password managers do and it's a nice time saving feature.

Thank you for this long awaited and super helpful update! I love using Touch ID to unlock Enpass, but I think as of now it is missing a crucial feature: the Touch ID prompt does not open at once when I use the app. Instead of click icon -> finger on Touch ID -> app unlocked the current workflow looks like this: click icon -> move mouse over fingerprint icon -> click -> finger no Touch ID -> app unlocked which is quite unsatisfying as it takes longer than entering my Masterpassword. It would be super useful if either Touch ID is prompted directly or can be activated via a keyboard shortcut as a workaround (enables implementation in BetterTouchTool shortcuts). Greetings, Markus

Hi @Kelvino, Thanks for writing in. This feature has already been in the development phase but at the moment I can't assure you any ETA for this and only can say that it will be available in any of coming releases cycle. Thanks for your co-operation!

Hello @rk Thanks for your message! At the moment we are in a state where it would be very confusing to provide an open roadmap due to lot of features being worked on simultaneously on all platforms. We are ready with the Portable version of Enpass in which user has to choose a database (analogous to vault) at the start and this way it can be used as a multiple vault. We will soon release a Beta version of it. Thanks for your patience and understanding.

Although Enpass has support for Microsoft's Edge browser, it does not seem to have support for IE 11. Edge has a feature to launch IE 11 if the web site does not support Edge. So I think it's important to also support a plug-in for IE 11.

Hi All I'm requesting this feature from Twitter and now there is official forum so I also request again. As latest 1Password, they update "two factor authentication" feature for saved services. This feature is nice for app password manager so I suggest please bring feature in next version. Thanks

Hey @Pedro, first tell me, do u have some telepathy power or what? You read our minds dude! The Diceware in password generator has already been implemented for almost all the platforms, and soon you'll see this feature in our beta version, which we are rolling out next week. But Pedro, you still don't need to remember any password, Enpass will always do that for you.

Hi @Wolfgang, Adding attachments and custom templates are in our priority list and will work on them as soon as we release Portable version( Cross-platform), Improved password generator on all platforms, Autofill on Android using notifications and improved Enpass keyboard, improved UWP with TOTP and one surprise feature for you. You can expect Beta versions of specified features in May itself and after their final release, we will work on Attachments and custom templates. Meanwhile instead of custom templates, you can take help of Duplicate feature to create copies of your customized items.

Hey @modelator, Thanks for writing in. We have received no such request. Being an offline password manager Enpass saves data locally on the device not on any server. As we don't store or have any of users data and neither we route any user data. So we have no means to fulfill such kind of request. Thanks!

Hi Kashish, It seems that the problem was due to the Firefox extension ScriptSafe. As soon as it was disabled, the auto-save feature resumed working fine. Thanks.

Switched to Bitwarden now, because it works without any issue... Support is really poor for Enpass.

Hello, You have the option to search for Pwned Passwords. It is possible to have an option to tag these items (resetting exiting Pwned items beforehand). Every time you move away from the list you loose it and have to do it again. If it is tagged one can go back to a previously saved list. Thanks

+1, but not only for Chrome, but for Firefox or browser extensions in general. For me, it is because at work I cannot start non-whitelisted executables, so for now, the need for a desktop app is making it impossible for me to use Enpass in the browser at work and thus using Enpass at all, because using Lastpass and Enpass is cumbersome (ownCloud is usable at work, so synchronizing the Enpass database is possible for me). I however do like Enpass and would like to switch to it.

Hi @Anshu kumar, are there any news here, why importing folders with the correct structure will be available. I'd like to change from KeePass to EnPass. But I've got 400 passwords with about 30 subfolders to manage. Without correct import this isn't possible. Unfortunately, until now, there is no possibility to import KeePass XML Files (with correct groups/folders) into EnPass. Imagine how many users like to use EnPass, but can't, because the import doesn't work correctly :-) Thanks for some news, daemon
  48. 1 point
@Anshu kumar One option would be to publish the desktop app in the Store using Project Centennial. When you publish apps with Project Centennial you can reference and use UWP apis from desktop apps. That should make it possible to use Windows Hello apis from the desktop app. Another option would be to try to host the service in the current UWP app (maybe using some background task, but I'm not 100% on how that would work, if at all possible).

I imported via Lastpass because Keepass didn't work for me. Inability to import from Firefox was a big deal for me, and while I am happy so far with Enpass this lack of an obvious feature will keep me from recommending it to others.

More features for Enpass Browser for mobile: 1. Add option for a home page 2. Back and Forward buttons 3. When typing a site that is allready in enpass database show option to finish. Ex. when i type "face", Enpass Browser should show me above option "www.facebook.com"
